[Shenzhen, China, May 18th, 2016] Huawei, the leading global information and communications technology solutions provider, received H.E Yasser El Kady, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology as part of his high profile visit to the People’s Republic of China. The visit aims to discuss bilateral cooperation between Egypt and China in the telecommunications field.
During the visit, Huawei presented the latest LTE technologies which will be deployed in Egypt in the soonest future and other advanced ICT solutions which impressed the delegation.
Mr. Zou Zhilei, President of Huawei Carrier Business Group, said, “We are honored to have been visited by H.E. Minister Yasser El Kady, and we appreciate the unstinting support offered by MCIT. This year represents a turning point for Egypt’s telecommunications industry, and Huawei stands ready to support local business to improve user experience, network reliability, and speed. During the visit, Minister Yasser El Kady stated, “We appreciate the long-term cooperation and partnership with Huawei. Since we believe CIT projects are a main tool and driving force for developing the country’s GDP growth, improving national competitiveness, attracting investment as well as providing youth with job opportunities, our visit’s objective is to expand our cooperation with Huawei on different levels and in different aspects, such as LTE technologies, national mega ICT projects, local manufacturing, and capacity building. Since Egypt has become more stable and has an impressive labor force as well as encouraging investment opportunities, we would like to set the long-term strategic partnership with Huawei which will benefit both parties.”
Part of the minister’s visit was to present Huawei’s vision and capacity in the national ICT and smart city planning. Since Egypt has been aiming at transforming itself into a smart city, Minister Yasser El-Kady has discussed with Huawei ways to transfer the company’s knowledge and experience to benefit Egypt’s endeavors. During the meeting, both parties agreed to collectively set the roadmap for closer cooperation and consequently take concrete actions in developing Egypt.
Since Huawei set up its Northern Africa Regional Office in Egypt in 1999, it has established multiple resource and competence centers in Egypt, including the Middle East & Northern Africa Training Center, Technical Assistance Center, and Application & Software R&D Center. In Egypt, the company shares its leading global communications technologies and solutions with local partners and is committed to contributing to local business and the ICT industry ecosystem.
Huawei also believes that technology innovation promotes job creation, greater industry investment, and economic growth. “Seeds for the Future” program will support the advancement into innovative, digital, and knowledge-led economies. Huawei hopes that this program will further strengthen the growing educational ties between Egypt and China.
وزير الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات المصري وشركة هواوي يناقشوا شراكة إستراتيجية طويلة الأمد
القاهرة، مصر. 19 مايو 2016. هواوي، الشركة الرائدة في مجال حلول تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات في العالم، رحبت بمعالي الوزير المهندس/ ياسر القاضى، وزير الأتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات المصري، كجزء من زيارته للصين. وتهدف الزيارة لبحث التعاون الثنائي بين مصر والصين في مجال الأتصالات المختلفة.
وخلال الزيارة، قدمت هواوي أحدث تقنيات LTEالتي سيتم طرحها قريباً في مصر بالأضافة إلى غيرها من الحلول المتقدمة فى تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات والتى أثارت إهتمام سيادة الوزير والوفد المرافق.
وصرح السيد/ زو زهيلي، رئيس مجموعة هواوي للشبكات "يشرفنا زيارة معالى الوزير المهندس/ ياسر القاضى، ونحن نقدر الدعم اللا محدود الذى تقدمه وزارة الأتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات. يمثل هذا العام نقطة تحول لقطاع الأتصالات في مصر، وهواوي على أهبة الأستعداد لدعم الأعمال التجارية المحلية لتطوير تجربة المستخدمين، وسعة الشبكات وسرعتها. ونحن نتطلع إلى مواصلة علاقاتنا طويلة الأمد بسوق الأتصالات المصرى والإسهام في تطوير هذا القطاع الهام ".
وخلال الزيارة، صرح معالي الوزير المهندس/ ياسر القاضى، "نحن نقدر التعاون المستمر والشراكة مع شركة هواوي. تهدف زيارتنا إلى زيادة التعاون مع شركة هواوي في مختلف المجالات خاصة فى تكنولوجيا LTE، والمشاريع القومية العملاقة لقطاع الأتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات ، والتصنيع المحلي، وبناء القدرات لأننا نؤمن ان مشاريع الأتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات أداة رئيسية وقوة دافعة لتطوير نمو الناتج المحلي الإجمالي للبلاد وتحسين القدرة التنافسية الوطنية وجذب الأستثمارات وكذلك تمكين الشباب بفرص العمل،. ونتيجة لأستقرار وبالأضافة إلى القوة العاملة الكبيرة ، نود أن نستمر فى شراكة إستراتيجية طويلة الأمد مع هواوي مما سيعود بالنفع على كلا الأطراف".
وجزء من هذه الزيارة مخصص للأطلاع على إمكانيات هواوي وقدراتها علي التخطيط القومي لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات والمدن الذكية. وتمت إجراء محادثات من أجل إستخدام معرفة وخبرة هواوي في تحويل مدن مصر الي مدن ذكية. وخلال الأجتماع، وافق الطرفان على تعيين خارطة الطريق معاً من أجل المزيد من التعاون الوثيق والعمل بين الطرفين.
منذ تأسيس هواوي مقرها الأقليمي لشمال أفريقيا في مصر عام 1999، أصبح لديها مراكز متعددة للموارد والكفاءة في مصر، بما في ذلك مركز تدريب شمال أفريقيا ومركز المساعدة الفنية، ومركز الأبحاث والتطوير للتطبيقات والبرمجيات. تشارك هواوي بتكنولوجياتها العالمية الرائدة في الاتصالات والحلول مع الشركاء المحليين، وملتزمة بالمساهمة في الأعمال التجارية المحلية والنظم الإيكولوجية لصناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في مصر.
