ECDC ORGANIZES 2016 EMPLOYMENT FAIR AT AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY

WHAT
The Employability and Career Development Center (ECDC) at Ain Shams University (ASU) will organize the 2016 Employment Fair. The fair provides a forum for students and graduates of Ain Shams University to meet with representatives of 29 multinational and local companies from different industries including engineering, food and beverage, banking, retail, and information technology fields. The event is expected to provide approximately 200 career opportunities.

The ASU ECDC was inaugurated in January 2015 as a result of an agreement between Ain Shams University and The American University in Cairo (AUC), with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). AUC’s Career Center provided its technical expertise and trained the ECDC staff to become certified career development facilitators. To date, the ECDC has served more than 9,000 ASU students, providing them with career guidance services throughout their career planning process. The services include conducting career development workshops focusing on resume writing, interviewing skills and job search. ECDC also offers English courses, employability skills training and other technical development sessions to provide the students with the skills required in the labor market.
