Canal Residence West grows into life with an array of new retail experiences
Dubai, Wednesday March 16th, 2016 Dubai: Dubai Sports City’s growth and expansion is getting a further boost as a wide range of new retail outlets are set to open in one of the community’s most up and coming areas.
Canal Promenade Retail, situated opposite Sports Village with its vast array of sporting academies and facilities, has welcomed 15 new retail outlets including restaurants, clinics, beauty salons and supermarkets and refreshment shops which will be open for the first time and will further expand residents’ amenities in the quickly developing area of Dubai Sports City.
Dubai Sports City announced last year that it was working towards the overall completion of the community and recent milestones such as Fortuna Village nearing completion and new apartments in the Canal Residence West development see Dubai Sports City take another big step forward.
Dubai Sports City President, Khalid Al Zarooni, who works and lives within the community is delighted to see the momentum continue.
Al Zarooni said: “The launch of the Canal Promenade Retail at Canal Residence West is another major step in Dubai Sports City’s vision for easy access to good services for the entire community.
“The fact is that all the retailers chosen to be part of this project put in a lot of their personal effort into making their outlets successful.
“You will find that the owners of these outlets are in fact also the operators, and this is an important factor to us as it emphasizes the family spirit that Dubai Sports City passionately supports and promotes.”
The Canal Promenade Retail aims to serve the entire Dubai Sports City community, with access on foot and parking both available. The facilities will also add to the wider area’s facilities including Arabian Ranches and Motor City, adding more options to already existing retail services.
15 retail outlets are now operational at the first phase of the launch is complete with further outlets opening soon afterwards in an ongoing expansion of the area.
One of the main retail outlets that will be available is Al Maya Supermarket. Operations Manager for the store, Harish Harwani is delighted to open in the vibrant community of Dubai Sports City.
“As a part of its expansion plans, the brand today operates over 45 supermarkets across the United Arab Emirates with its latest branch in Dubai Sports City, which we see as a brilliant market and community to be a part of.
