NMDC aims to attract the UAE caliber to continue its emiratisation strategy



Following its successful participation in “Abu Dhabi Maritime Youth Summit” as a Diamond Sponsor, National Marine Dredging Company “NMDC” continues its efforts to hire the UAE nationals empowered with loyalty and long term commitment.


Abu Dhabi, Wednesday 3/2/2016: The National Marine Dredging Company “NMDC” announced that hiring the UAE nationals is one of its ultimate priorities in all the company’s sectors especially in engineering and technical fields. This announcement came during NMDC’s participation in Tawdheef, the leading recruitment event for the UAE Nationals that is currently taking place in Abu Dhabi at the National Exhibition Centre from 1st to 3rd of February 2016.  


Engineer Yasser Zaghlool, the CEO of NMDC clarified: "We have succeeded to position ourselves in the global marine dredging field. As a UAE based company, we were proud to work on the “Upper Zakum” project and to lead the "Challenge Consortium" to successfully accomplish on time the Suez Canal project, the largest marine dredging project since the demand for marine dredging is increasing dramatically. The marine dredging sector is becoming one of the pillars of maritime economy. We open new marine routes and canals, develop new ports and maintain existing ones, build artificial islands for oil and gas industry in addition to real estate waterfront projects".


Zaghlool added: "We ultimately aim to hire committed and loyal UAE caliber who will settle down in our company for long time. The marine dredging is one of the difficult fields due to its complicated technicalities and circumstances that’swhy we want to give them the opportunity to lead this field and develop their career and expertise.”


NMDC's successful participation in Tawdheef is considered as another milestone in the company’s journey after being a Diamond sponsor for “Abu Dhabi Maritime Youth Summit” that was organized by Tasneef Academy, the education arm of Emirates Classification Society "Tasneef". Moreover, NMDC announced that it will be participating next April 2016 in the UAE Career Exhibition that will be held in Dubai World Trade Centre, ensuring that NMDC is strategically determinant to attract the UAE nationals to be the core of its human capital.



NMDC is also willing to establish agreements with local universities to attract local interns to spend their training in the company as a step to hire them after graduation and make use of their training during their academic years.


"We are targeting to hire the maximum number of UAE candidates during Tawdheef, Abu Dhabi. Due to the rare experience we require in our industry, we invest a lot in human resources to train our employees to become familiar with our work. This investment should be dedicated to qualify the UAE nationals to build the local capacity in this country on the long run,” Zaghlool added.


Zaghlool also clarified that as per the UAE long term strategy to establish a sustainable economy as an alternative to the petroleum based economy which will enhance the status of “Made in UAE”. “We are exerting our definitive efforts in order to cope with the current progress and to strengthen a unique landmark that will redraw the world map for thousands of years.”
 
الجرافات البحرية الوطنية تستقطب الكفاءات المواطنة استكمالاً لمسيرة التوطين
بعد مشاركتها في قمة أبوظبي لتمكين القيادات الإماراتية الشابة في القطاع البحري كراع ألماسي، تواصل شركة الجرافات البحرية الوطنية سعيها لاستقطاب الكفاءات الإماراتية الشابة من أجل تعزيز قدراتها وبناء كوادر بشرية تلتزم معها على المدى البعيد.

 
أبوظبي، الأربعاء :02/02/2016 أعلنت شركة الجرافات البحرية الوطنية أنها تضع في قمة أولياتها للعام 2016 توطين أكبر عدد ممكن من الكوادر الوطنية الإماراتية في مختلف الوظائف والقطاعات في الشركة، لاسيما تلك الوظائف الهندسية والفنية والتقنية، جاء هذا الإعلان خلال مشاركتها في معرض توظيف أبوظبي، المعرض الرائد للتوطين في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، والذي يعقد في مركز أبوظبي للمعارض من تاريخ 1/2/2016 وحتى 3/2/2016.
وفي هذا السياق، صرح المهندس ياسر زغلول، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الجرافات البحرية الوطنية، قائلاً: "اصبحنا على الخريطة العالمية لصناعة الجرف البحري والتي تمثلت بالجزر الصناعية لحقل زاكوم العلوي  وقيادتنا لتحالف التحدي في مشروع قناة السويس الجديدة، وتمكنّا بحمد الله من إنجاز أكبر مشروع تجريف بحري في العالم وتسليمه في الموعد المحدد، فإن هذا القطاع يعتبر إحدى دعائم الملاحة الدولية عبر شق وتطوير الطرق والمضائق البحرية، وتطوير وصيانة الموانئ، وبناء الجزر الاصطناعية الضرورية لقطاع النفط والغاز والتطوير العقاري لمشروعات الواجهات المائية".
وأضاف المهندس زغلول: نسعى لبناء كوادر بشرية اماراتية تلتزم بالعمل في الشركة لوقت طويل، ولاسيما ان ظروف وفنيات أعمال الجرف صعبة ومتخصصة وذلك بإعطائهم الفرصه لريادة هذا المجال مع ضمان تبادل الخبرات العالمية لتحقيق هدفنا". وتعد هذه الخطوة لاستقطاب الكوادر الوطنية الشابة استكمالا لمسيرة التوطين في شركة الجرافات البحرية الوطنية، حيث كانت في الشهر الماضي راعياً ألماسياً لقمة أبوظبي لتمكين القيادات الإماراتية الشابة في القطاع البحري، والتي نظمتها أكاديمية تصنيف، الذراع التعليمي لهيئة الإمارات للتصنيف "تصنيف"، وأعلنت الشركة أنها ستشارك أيضاً في معرض الإمارات للوظائف والذي سيقام في دبي في شهر إبريل القادم، تأكيداً على أن استقطاب الكوادر الوطنية يمثل التزاما استراتيجياً في الشركة.
كما تعتزم الشركة كذلك عقد شراكات مع الجامعات والمؤسسات الأكاديمية في دولة الإمارات من أجل استغلال برنامج التدريب الأكاديمية ليكون رافداً مسانداً في استقطاب الكوادر الوطنية وتحويل سنوات التدريب الدراسية إلى تأهيل مهني في مجال التجريف البحري. وتعليقاً على عدد المواطنين الذين تعتزم شركة الجرافات البحرية الوطنية تعيينهم خلال معرض توظيف أبوظبي أفاد زغلول: "نهدف لتعيين اكبر عدد ممكناً خلال هذا المعرض، ونحن نستثمر قدراً كبيراً من التدريب والتأهيل في موظفينا بسبب طبيعة عملنا ذو الخبرة التقنية والهندسية النادرة، ومن الأجدر أن نوجه هذا التدريب والاستثمار في الكوادر التي سيعود نفعها للبلد على المدى البعيد".
وأضاف زغلول: "مثلما تضع الإمارات ضمن استراتيجيتها بناء اقتصاد مستدام بديل عن النفط ويعلي من شأن العلامة التجارية "صنع في الإمارات"، وبصفتنا جزء من المناخ الاماراتي فإننا نسعى جاهدين لمواكبة التغيير والتقدم ونضع البصمة لتعزيز علامة تجارية جديدة تغير الجغرافيا وتعيد رسم خريطة العالم لآلاف السنين.
