Hosts session on Operational Excellence, Asset Management Best Practices, & Challenges of Asset Management
UAE, 16 December 2015 – DuPont Sustainable Solutions (DSS) received an overwhelming response during its participation at the recently concluded OpEX MENA 2015 – Operational Excellence in Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals held at the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The company conducted a workshop entitled ‘Extracting Maximum Value from Assets and Operations: An Industry Imperative’ to discuss how companies can leverage operational excellence and best-in-class integrity to drive profitability within a dynamic and ever-evolving sector, which was attended by more than 50 participants.
Franco Polli, Solutions Architect, DSS Middle East, and Marc Hoppenbrouwers, Solution Architect, DSS Netherlands, led three sessions on Operational Excellence, Asset Management Best Practices, and Challenges of Asset Management. Through presentations, polls and discussions, each session highlighted the elements of culture in continuous improvement, the fundamental blocks of the asset management system, implementation challenges and best practices to address them, and the way integrated systems and organizations lead to sustainable results.
Franco Polli, Solutions Architect, DuPont Sustainable Solutions, said: “With our interactive session, we advised companies on how to transform and optimize their processes, technologies and capabilities to improve their productivity, safety, , and profitability. In the current landscape of significant declines in oil prices, there is a need to adopt an integrated approach to maintenance and reliability where capable human resource contributes to a robust culture as a strong technical model is not enough to ensure positive results. The integrated model and a strong direct support in the execution of it is what differentiates DSS from its competitors.”
The polling conducted during the conference provided insights into the current state of asset management across the region: 54% of companies surveyed do not have an asset management system that is fully implemented. Furthermore, only 37% had a proactive approach to maintenance, indicating that the majority of actions are taken once something fails.
Moreover, while attendees did note that a focus on people is imperative. And yet, only 33% of companies have what can be defined as a robust people development system. In line with this, participants felt as though a strong focus on capability building and mindsets & behaviors is key in determining success of asset management initiatives.
Launched in 2013, OpEx MENA is a highly anticipated event which recently concluded its third successful edition. Its latest outing was attended by distinguished companies who are leading influencers in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sectors to exchange market news and state-of-the-art technology in order to effectively enhance the operating systems of organizations. OpEx MENA continues to grow, allowing companies to share their experiences as they strive towards creating globally oriented companies.

ورشة عمل حول التميز التشغيلي وأفضل الممارسات لإدارة الأصول وتحديات إدارة الأصول
الإمارات 16 ديسمبر 2015 – تلقت "دوبونت للحلول المستدامة" إستجابة كبيرة خلال مشاركتها الأخيرة في مؤتمر "أوبكس الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا 2015" للتميز التشغيلي في قطاعات النفط والغاز والبتروكيماويات في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، والذي عقد مؤخراً في أبوظبي. وقد نظمت شركة "دوبونت" ورشة عمل - حضرها أكثر من 50 مشارك - تحت عنوان "إستخلاص القيمة القصوى من الأصول والعمليات: أمر حتمي لمختلف القطاعات" والتي ناقشت خلالها كيف يمكن للشركات الاستفادة من التميز التشغيلي وتعزيز مفهوم النزاهة لرفع معدلات الربحية في قطاع حيوي يشهد تطوراً مستمراً.
وترأس كل من فرانكو بوللي، مهندس الحلول في شركة دوبونت للحلول المستدامة في الشرق الأوسط؛ ومارك هوبنبراورز، مهندس الحلول من شركة دوبونت للحلول المستدامة في هولندا؛ ثلاث جلسات حول (التميز التشغيلي و أفضل الممارسات لإدارة الأصول وتحديات إدارة الأصول) تم خلالها إجراء عروضاً تقديمية ونقاشات حول الأسس الحضارية للتطور المستديم، العقبات الأساسية لنظام إدارة الأصول، وأفضل الممارسات لمعالجة التحديات التي تقف في وجه التطبيق، وكيف تحقق المؤسسات والأنظمة المتكاملة نتائجاً مستدامة.
وقال فرانكو بوللي: "قدمنا خلال جلسات ورش العمل التفاعلية نصائح للشركات حول كيفية تغيير العمليات والتقنيات والقدرات لتحسين الإنتاجية ورفع مستوى الأمان لزيادة الربحية. وتبعاً للانخفاض الكبير في أسعار النفط، هناك حاجة ملحّة لتبني مفاهيم متكاملة تحافظ على المصداقية حيث نجد الإمكانات البشرية القادرة على الإسهام في هذا القطاع، كون النموذج الحالي المتبع غير كافي لضمان نتائج إيجابية، وهنا نرى النموذج المتكامل الذي تتبعه دوبونت للحلول المستدامة والدعم الكبير في تطبيقه هو الذي يميزها عن منافسيها".
أمّا نتائج الاستطلاع التي أجريت خلال المؤتمر حول الوضع الراهن لإدراة الأصول في المنطقة، فكانت على الشكل الآتي: 54% من الشركات إفتقدت لأسس تطبيق نظام إدراة الأصول بشكل كامل، و37% من الشركات تتبع نهجاً استباقياً للإصلاح، مما يعني بأن غالبية الشركات لا تقوم باتخاذ إجراءات إلا بعد وقوع الخطأ.
كما لوحظ إفتقاد معظم الشركات إلى نظام تطوير الموارد البشرية، حيث 33% من الشركات تمتلك ما يماثل هذا النظام، لذا تم التنويه إلى ضرورة التركيز على تطوير القدرات العقلية والسلوكية للقوى البشرية باعتبارها مفتاح نجاح مبادرات إدراة الأصول.
تم إطلاق مؤتمر "أوبكس" خلال العام 2013 وهو في دورته الثالثة هذا العام، حيث إستقطب حضوراً ومشاركة من جانب أبرز الشركات المؤثرة في قطاعات النفط والغاز والبتروكيماويات. وواصل مؤتمر "أوبكس" نموه متيحاً للشركات الفرصة لتبادل التجارب والخبرات في سعيها لأن تصبح شركات ذات توجه عالمي.
