Dubai, UAE, 7 January 2016: A delegation from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) recently made an official visit to Estonia to meet representatives from its different government organisations. The visit strengthened cooperation between the two sides and to broaden their knowledge on international information technology practices. During the visit, the respective representatives from both parties discussed subjects of mutual interest, particularly DEWA’s efforts to transform Dubai into one of the smartest cities in the world.
The delegation was headed by Moza Al Akraf, CIO of DEWA, and was accompanied by other DEWA officials, which included Marwan Al Zaabi, Acting Vice President of Corporate Excellence; Ahmed Belarti, Senior Manager of Smart Services, Faisal Al Dashti, Senior Manager of Information Security and Humaid Buhumaid, Manager of Smart Adoption.
“This visit falls in line with DEWA’s commitment to exchange knowledge, information and skills with other international organisations in its continuous efforts to keep up to date with the latest technologies and solutions, to contribute towards the UAE’s position as an international role model for happy citizens, and residents. DEWA continues to find new, innovative ways of providing smart services to make living standards in Dubai the best in the world. This move represents our ongoing efforts to continuously developing our services, to meet the daily needs of our customers, and look at Estonia's experience in electronic security,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
“DEWA is always interested in discovering developments in international technology to further broaden our horizons. We seek to improve partnerships with other international organisations by making use of their knowledge, while helping them to develop their innovative technology to improve our services. DEWA takes priority in the development of our services and our commitment to providing our customers with these services, to streamline paper work, registering online, making suggestions and discussing observations by using the latest technologies,” said Al Akraf.
The DEWA delegation were presented with the latest developments in Estonia’s smart services via a single portal, which can be used by Dubai to handle big data and develop services in connection with identification. The delegation also met the departments in charge of issuing important decisions within companies and organisations, and reviewed various smart tools to help raise awareness among clients and employees, and the means to evaluate the efficiency of cloud security and organisational networks.
Towards the end of their stay, the delegation thanked the Estonian government representatives for their hospitality.
هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي تطلع على أفضل التجارب التقنية الحكومية في إستونيا
دبي، الامارات العربية المتحدة، 7 يناير 2016: في إطار الزيارات الهادفة إلى بناء جسور التعاون المشترك، والتعرف على أفضل الممارسات العالمية المتبعة في مجال تقنية المعلومات، قام وفد من هيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي بزيارة رسمية إلى دولة إستونيا حيث التقى بمجموعة من ممثلي الجهات الحكومية فيها. وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث عدد من المواضيع والقضايا ذات الإهتمام المشترك، التي تندرج ضمن جهود الهيئة الرامية إلى المساهمة في تحويل دبي إلى المدينة الأذكى في العالم.
وقد ترأس وفد الهيئة في الزيارة موزة إبراهيم الأكرف-رئيس تقنية المعلومات، وضم كل من مروان الزعابي-نائب الرئيس للتميز المؤسسي بالإنابة، وأحمد بالعرطي-مدير أول إدارة الخدمات الذكية، وفيصل الدشتي- مدير أول إدارة أمن المعلومات، وحميد بوحميد-مدير قسم التبني الذكي.
وقال سعادة/ سعيد محمد الطاير العضو المنتدب الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي:"تأتي هذه الزيارات ضمن حرص الهيئة على تبادل أفضل التجارب والخبرات العالمية، وذلك في إطار سعيها المستمر لتبني أفضل الحلول والتقنيات تعزيزاً لريادة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة كنموذج عالمي يحتذى به في تعزيز سعادة المواطنين والمقيمين على أرضها الطيبة. كما تكرس الهيئة جهودها للمساهمة في جعل تجربة الحياة في دبي التجربة الأفضل عالمياً من خلال إتاحة كافة خدماتها عبر تقنيات ذكية وحديثة ومبتكرة تتخطى توقعات واحتياجات جميع الفئات، إضافة إلى تطوير أساليب وأنظمة عملها بشكل مستمر لتوفير خدمات متكاملة لمتطلبات الحياة اليومية والإطلاع على تجربة استونيا في مجال الأمن الالكتروني".
وتعقيباً على الزيارة، أوضحت موزة إبراهيم الأكرف، رئيس تقنية المعلومات في الهيئة: "تقوم الهيئة باستمرار بالتعرف والإطلاع على أحدث التجارب المطبقة عالميا في المجال التقني بما يسهم في فتح آفاق جديدة من خلال تعزيز تعاونها وشراكاتها مع جهات عالمية عبر الإستفادة من تجاربها المتميزة والمبتكرة لتطوير خدماتها والوصول بها إلى أعلى المستويات".
وأكدت الأكرف: "إن تطوير خدمات الهيئة وأنظمتها يعد من أولى أولوياتها وذلك حرصا منها على توفير كل ما يمكن المتعاملين من إنجاز معاملاتهم وتقديم طلباتهم، وملاحظاتهم، ومقترحاتهم، عبر أحدث الوسائل التقنية بكل سهولة ويسر."
وخلال الزيارة إطلع وفد الهيئة على أفضل الممارسات التقنية المتبعة في إستونيا لتقديم خدمات ذكية ومتميزة تدعم توجهات الحكومة، كما تم الاطلاع على إمكانية الاستفادة من البيانات الضخمة (Big Data) في إدارة وتطوير الخدمات من خلال نافذة واحدة وربطها ببطاقة الهوية، إضافة إلى التعرف على بيوت الخبرة لإصدار القرارات الهامة في المؤسسات والشركات، وأساليب التوعية الإلكترونية للموظفين والمتعاملين، ومختلف الأساليب المتطورة لتقييم مدى كفاءة الأمن السحابي والشبكات التكنولوجية للمؤسسات والشركات.
