SODIC celebrated the graduation of the third SODIC cycle of the American University in Cairo School of Business Venture Lab (AUC V-Lab) on December 9th. The AUC V-Lab provides young Egyptian entrepreneur start-ups with access to AUC facilities, its world-wide alumni network and seed funding through incubation cycles with the goal of commercialising the technologies and innovations which would contribute to economic growth and job creation.
The third SODIC cycle demo day held at AUC’s New Cairo campus was attended by Magued Sherif, Managing Director of SODIC, Lisa Anderson, AUC President, Dr. Karim ElSeghir, Dean of AUC School of Business, and a group of AUC professors and reputable Egyptian businessmen.
The startups are selected from governorates across Egypt through a rigorous process based on the novelty of the idea, scalability and potential for commercialisation, as well as the team’s tenacity and commitment to success. This Cycle saw 12 start-up projects showcase their ideas and offerings.
Commenting on SODIC’s support for the AUC Venture Lab, Magued Sherif, SODIC’s Managing Director said “In a country like Egypt where the population is vast and over half of it is under 25, the future really lies in the hands of the youth, this is why at SODIC, we believe in supporting education in all its different forms; early childhood education, schooling and entrepreneurship. Azamoka
Azamoka is a mobile games studio that creates a variety of games for both entertainment and educational purposes. Azamoka’s core values are presented in high quality games among other things, Azamoka offers product and value simulations through creative game designs that would appear to customers’ interest.
Chalikifi
Chalkifi is an online platform that allows users to hold meetings and share information through a virtual chalkboard. Unlike other platforms, Chalikifi uses less bandwidth, storage and does not require any installations, which allows users to hold virtual meetings more efficiently.

Escape HD
Escape HD offers headsets with the vision of making virtual reality affordable and accessible, allowing everyone to experience the impossible in the world of gaming, cinema and storytelling. Escape HD will build an incredible community of game developers, content creators, and artists in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Frien10
Frien10 is an online platform that connects individuals with similar interests, who live in the same area, to come together. The application connects users through an interest-matching algorithm, to ensure the compatibility of the group members. The group then revers the meeting spot through the application to attain special offers and discounts at the location of their choice.
Korsatk
Kosatk is a website that connects training centers and potential clients, whereby clients can have the opportunity to choose between a variety of courses and centers. Korsatk will facilitate clients’ with ratings for every course based on previous clients’ experiences.
Koshk Comics
Koshk Comics is a mobile app for digital comics available on smart mobiles and tablets. Through the Koshk Comics website, authors and artists can self-publish and distribute their artwork in digital markets, creating a platform for readers to read and purchase digital comics.
Omash.com
Omash.com is an online directory that collects fabrics from tailors all across Egypt, and displays them online for customers to purchase and use for design purposes. Through online accessibility, governorates are also able to have wider collection of fabrics. Orders are processed by cash on delivery basis and samples are delivered upon request.
PayMe
PayMe marks the future of payment methods in the region. By allowing businesses to accept card payments through their customized Quick Response (QR) Code, PayMe reduces the hassle of long bank procedures and hardware installation costs. The financial app also serves as a convenient substitute for credit cards and cash on delivery, since customers can now secure their information on their phones and be in full control of the transaction.
Pesos
Pesos is an easy-money machine that provides you with the money for unlocking your mobile phone. Mobile users unlock their phones hundreds of times a day so why not get paid for it? Pesos provides users with ads that get displayed every time their phone is unlocked. Users have the option to redeem money by sliding their phone to unlock or sliding their phone to share an ad on Facebook and get paid a higher amount.
Rakna
Rakna is a mobile application for a valet on demand service. The users can request a valet to meet him at his desired location to park his car. From our side, we ensure that his car is parked in one of our secure locations. At the user’s request, we return the car anywhere he desires within our coverage area.

سوديك تحتفل بتخرج الدفعة الثالثة من برنامج "فينتشر لاب" لرعاية رواد الأعمال بالتعاون مع الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة

احتفلت سوديك بتخريج الدورة الثالثة من برنامج "فينتشر لاب" برعاية سوديك مؤخراً. يتيح البرنامج للشركات الناشئة فرصة الاستفادة من إمكانيات ومعامل الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة وقواعد معلوماتها، و التواصل مع شبكة خريجي الجامعة و التواصل مع مختلف المستثمرين، بهدف تسويق الإبتكارات التكنولوجية والمساهمة في تحقيق النمو الإقتصادي وخلق المزيد من فرص العمل.
وقد أقيم حفل التخرج في حرم الجامعة الأمريكية بالتجمع الخامس، بحضور كل من المهندس/ ماجد شريف- العضو المنتدب لشركة سوديك، والدكتورة ليزا أندرسون- رئيس الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، والدكتور/ كريم الصغيرعميد كلية إدارة الأعمال بالجامعة، بالإضافة لوفد رفيع المستوى من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعة الأمريكية ومجموعة من كبار رجال الأعمال.
وقد تم اختيار تلك الشركات الناشئة من جميع محافظات الجمهورية اعتماداً على مدى إبداعية الفكرة، وإمكانية التوسع في تطبيقها وتسويقها، بالإضافه إلى إلتزام الفريق واصراره على النجاح. وشهد الاحتفال استعراض 12مشروع لشركات ناشئة في مختلف المجالات وشرح منتجات وخدمات تلك الشركات.
وعلق المهندس/ ماجد شريف، العضو المنتدب لشركة سوديك على دعم سوديك لهذة المبادرة بقوله "في دولة بحجم مصر أكثر من نصف سكانها تحت سن الخامسة والعشرين، تؤمن سوديك بأهمية دور هؤلاء الشباب في بناء و تطوير المجتمع المصري، لذا نهتم بصفة خاصة بدعم التعليم بكل أشكالة ومختلف مراحلة إبتداءاً من الطفولة المبكرة وصولاً إلى ريادة الأعمال. فنحن فخورين بشراكتنا الممتدة مع الجامعة الأمريكية في هذه المبادرة القيمة.

يعتبر تطبيق Pesos من التطبيقات التي تمنحك طريقة سهلة للحصول على النقود عند فتح الشاشة الرئيسية لهاتفك المحمول. يقوم مستخدمو الهواتف المحمولة بفتح الشاشة الرئيسية لهواتفهم المحمولة مئات المرات كل يوم، ويقوم التطبيق بنشر إعلانات على شاشات الهواتف في كل مرة يتم فيها فتح الشاشة، وبالتالي تمكين المستخدمين من جمع النقود عند القيام بذلك. ويمكن للمستخدمين كسب النقود من خلال فتح شاشة الجهاز وظهور الاعلانات عليها أو عرض الإعلان على صفحاتهم في فيسبوك وبالتالي كسب المزيد من النقود

ركنة من تطبيقات الهواتف المحمولة التي توفر خدمة ركن السيارات حسب الطلب. ويمكن للمستخدم طلب مقابلة عامل ركن السيارات في المكان الذي يفضله للقيام بركن السيارة. ويقوم التطبيق بالتأكد من ركن السيارة في أحد الأماكن الآمنة الخاصة بالتطبيق. ويمكن حسب الطلب اعادة السيارة للعميل مرة أخرى لأي مكان يفضله في نطاق المناطق التي يعمل بها التطبيق.
