Roche Media Academy Wins Silver in the Healthcare and Services category at the MEPRA Awards 2015


An “Empowerment Through Knowledge” initiative launched by Roche UAE to link media to the world of healthcare and create informed masses by encouraging higher disease awareness
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 23, 2015: The Roche Media Academy initiative won the Silver Award in Healthcare and Services category at the Middle East Public Relations Association Awards (MEPRA) 2015.
Launched by Roche UAE in 2014, the Roche Media Academy is an “Empowerment Through Knowledge” initiative, aimed at equipping journalists with accurate information on how diseases affect the lives of patients. Through interactive sessions, it brings together leading healthcare experts from the UAE and journalists from the region to empower them and enhance their knowledge on medical subjects. Sessions cover common, yet less talked about diseases, with an endeavor to support the important role played by the media in raising public awareness on national health concerns.
