Nationwide cultural and leisure activities held throughout December as part of commemoration

Alfardan Group has actively participated in the nationwide commemoration of Qatar National Day as a show of support for the government’s ongoing efforts towards making Qatar one of the world’s most innovative and pioneering countries. The historic occasion held on December 18, 2015 was marked by a wide range of cultural and leisure activities organized to celebrate the country’s dynamic evolution over the past decades. As a Silver Sponsor for this year’s celebrations, the Group significantly contributed to the festivities as a token of its unwavering allegiance to Qatar. Its support also reflects the conglomerate’s steadfast commitment to complement the vision of the country’s wise leadership.
National Day, also known as Founder’s Day, provides a platform for citizens and residents of Qatar to join together in observance of their rich tradition and unified identity. Hussain Alfardan, Chairman of Alfardan Group, attended the festivities at the Corniche which was the main venue of the celebrations. The exciting roster of activities, including the popular Darb El Saai and other events staged ahead of the National Day, was open to the public and highlighted different aspects of the country’s multi-faceted cultural and social dimensions.
The highly-anticipated parade of the country’s Armed Forces, Emiri Guards, and Internal Security Force was accompanied by music performed by a live band. The parade was followed by an aerial and sea show from the Air Force and Navy. Also, as part of the celebrations, Mr. Omar Alfardan, President and CEO of Alfardan Group, was awarded a trophy and a certificate of appreciation by HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser Al Ali, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Head of National Day Celebration Committee, during a special event held on the 15th of December at Darb El Saai. The event was organized by the Committee to commend the sponsors for their invaluable role and unwavering support for the National Day celebrations.

شاركت "مجموعة الفردان" كراع فضي في فعاليات الإحتفال باليوم الوطني لدولة قطر التي أقيمت يوم 18 ديسمبر الجاري وتخلّلها سلسلة من الأنشطة الثقافية والترفيهية عبر مختلف أنحاء الدولة للاحتفاء بمسيرة التطوّر الحضاري الكبير ونهج الريادة والابتكار في دولة قطر. وجاءت مشاركة المجموعة في هذه الاحتفالات لتؤكّد التزامها الراسخ بتجديد العهد والولاء للوطن والمساهمة الفاعلة في تنفيذ الرؤى الثاقبة للقيادة الرشيدة وتحقيق أهدافها المرجوة بما يدعم المساعي الرامية إلى جعل قطر في مصاف كبرى الدول المتقدّمة في العالم.
ويكتسب اليوم الوطني لقطر، الذي يُعرَف أيضًا بـ "يوم المؤسّس"، أهميّة وطنية خاصةً باعتباره مناسبة وطنية يجتمع فيها جميع أفراد المجتمع من مواطنين ومقيمين للمشاركة سويًا في إحياء التراث القطري الغني وترسيخ ملامح وقيم الهوية الوطنية. وشهدت احتفالات هذا العام، التي أقيمت بشكل رئيسي في منطقة الكورنيش بحضور كبار الشخصيات القيادية والمسؤولين من القطاعين العام والخاص، منهم حسين الفردان، رئيس مجلس إدارة "مجموعة الفردان"، نشاطات متنوّعة لجميع الفئات العمرية والاجتماعية لتسليط الضوء على كافة الجوانب الثقافية والحضارية والاجتماعية للدولة، بما فيها فعاليات "درب الساعي" وغيرها من النشاطات الاحتفائية التي تنطلق أعمالها قبل فترة من اليوم الوطني.
وتضمّنت الاحتفالات العرض العسكري الذي يعد الفعالية الأكثر ترقباً ضمن جدول نشاطات اليوم الوطني والذي شارك فيه أعضاء من القوات المسلّحة والحرس الأميري وقوى الأمن الداخلي في مسيرة على أنغام موسيقى وطنية حيّة. وتبع ذلك عرضاً للقوات الجوية والبحرية.
وتم، على هامش الإحتفالات، منح عمر الفردان، الرئيس التنفيذي لـ "مجموعة الفردان"، جائزة وشهادة تقدير من قبل سعادة السيد صلاح بن غانم ناصر العلي، وزير الشباب والرياضة ورئيس اللجنة المنظّمة لاحتفالات اليوم الوطني، وذلك خلال حفل خاص أقامته اللجنة المنظّمة يوم 15 ديسمبر الجاري خلال فعاليات "درب الساعي" لتكريم الرعاة على دورهم المحوري ودعمهم المتواصل لإحتفالات اليوم الوطني.
وقال حسين الفردان، رئيس مجلس إدارة "مجموعة الفردان": "يشرّفنا في "مجموعة الفردان" أن نكون جزءًا من هذه الاحتفالات الغالية على قلوبنا جميعاً والتي تمثّل مناسبة للتأكيد على دعمنا الكامل لقيادتنا الرشيدة التي لم تدخر وسعاً في بذل كل ما يجعل قطر في مصاف كبرى الاقتصادات الحيوية في العالم. ويشكّل "اليوم الوطني" فرصةً مثاليةً للاحتفاء بتاريخ قطر العريق الحافل بالإنجازات والنجاحات المشرّفة وفي الوقت نفسه استعراض المشاريع والمبادرات المستقبلية التي تتطلّع الدولة إلى تحقيقها في السنوات المقبلة. وبهذه المناسبة العزيزة، نتوجّه بأسمى آيات التهاني والتبريكات لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير البلاد المفدى، الذي له دور محوري في دفع عجلة نمو وإزدهار الدولة. كما ونؤكّد في "مجموعة الفردان" على التزامنا المطرد بدعم وتنفيذ التوجيهات السديدة للقيادة الرشيدة للدولة".
