Automobiles (FCA) Egypt announced the official launch of Jeep Renegade in the Egyptian
market today, complementing the Jeep family in Egypt. FCA believes that Renegade will surprise many prospective
SUV lovers as it combines a strong design and ruggedness together with the
capabilities and safety of the legendary Jeep.
The Jeep
Renegade marks the brand’s first entry into the small to mid-size sport-utility
vehicle (SUV) segment delivering fuel efficiency and upgraded on-road
capabilities that are perfect for city life.
It is a fun, affordable urban Jeep that represents superior value-for-money,
state-of-the-art technology and the best-in-class safety and security features.
In a press conference
held in New Cairo today, the company presented all the features and
specifications of the newest Jeep member to journalists and media
representatives, who had the opportunity to enjoy a first-hand presentation and
walk-around experience of the new Jeep Renegade.
In his welcome
speech, Mr. Maciej Ratynski, Chief Executive Officer of Fiat Chrysler
Automobiles Egypt, said, "We are very proud to introduce the Jeep Renegade
which we expect to become one of our most popular cars soon to appear on Egyptian
streets, proving to be yet another success story of the legendary brand. Renegade expands the brand’s vehicle line-up,
entering the growing versatile sport-utility vehicle (SUV) segment, while
staying true to the adventurous lifestyle Jeep is known for, reaching a wider
customer base. That, in turn,
consolidates our belief that Jeep Renegade is the perfect solution for urban
life, and the ideal vehicle for the stand-out, adventurous and enthusiastic youths,

a wide variety of technological amenities, luxury, safety, fuel efficiency, and

Jeep Renegade
combines a beautiful exterior, strong performance, streamlined design and a
spacious interior. Furthermore it also demonstrates
impressive fuel efficiency, stability on the roads, power and safety making it
extremely versatile for all types of city roads, while at the same time
maintaining the DNA and the distinctive features and capabilities of the Jeep brand.
The new model
was designed in the USA and manufactured in Italy, thus, combining the
ruggedness of the American cars, the technology and luxury of the Italian ones
and the safety and strength of the iconic Jeep brand. Renegade offers more than 60 safety and
security features that provide the ideal driving solution especially on the
Egyptian roads.
Mr. Hussein
A. Razek, Head of Marketing and Communications, stated, "The Jeep Renegade
will be available in three models: Longitude and Limited 4x2 with two trim
levels, all of them are equipped with a 140 horsepower, torque 230 nm (@1750
rpm), 1.4-liter MultiAir2 Turbo petrol engine with six-speed automatic Dual-Dry
Clutch Transmission gearbox (DDCT), providing an ideal vehicle for city life,
as it is one of the most fuel efficient in the mid-size SUV segment."
He further
elaborated that the marketing campaign for the Jeep Renegade revolves around
the word “Renegade”, which means “rebel”, in the sense of rebelling against the
boring daily routines. It encourages
people to “do something different”, bold, and out of the norm to enjoy life,
freedom and adventure, which is in line with the values of the Jeep brand.
In addition
to the streamlined exterior, Jeep Renegade features a youthful, modern and refined
interior. The interior is characterized
by minute attention to details, which is obvious in the colour combinations and
the high quality materials of the instrument panel, upholstery, steering wheel
and all the other details, such as the sunroof panels in Limited 4x2 edition that
allows customers to enjoy open air driving, making it ideal for adventurous youths
and families who live in the city.
The interior
also offers some advanced technological features such as a UConnect system with
best-in-class 6.5-inch touch screen, latest wireless communication technology,
navigator and Bluetooth connectivity with hands free phone. All these
convenient perks help the driver get to his/her destination safely and
comfortably.

mentioning that the Jeep Renegade has received many international awards such
