Huawei continues its support towards the ICT vision by being the sole ICT strategic partner at the 3rd Annual PPP Investment Summit 2015
Cairo, Egypt, October 20th 2015. Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, is pleased to announce its participation as the sole ICT strategic partner to Egypt’s 3rd Annual PPP Investment Summit 2015 that took place on October 19th to October 20th at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza Hotel in Cairo, Egypt.
The Public Private Partnership Investment Summit 2015 was held under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Egypt, H.E Eng. Khaled Ismail, and is officially supported by the Ministry of Finance and the PPP Central Unit, Egypt. The event brought together Egyptian consultants, investors, stakeholders, and many other prominent international ministers and private sector industry leaders to examine the PPP Central Unit's framework vis-à-vis Egypt’s existing and upcoming PPP development plans across water, power, electricity, health, and infrastructure networks. This event aims to provide jobs for the Egyptian youth and billions of dollars for Egypt’s revenue.
Having been involved in the Egyptian market for the past 15 years, Huawei believes that Egypt’s market is full of potential. Huawei believes that the digital makeover of Egypt’s ICT infrastructure will create significant employment opportunities and spur socio-economic growth and investment. During the Summit, Huawei has invited one of the most proficient experts to discuss how the ICT infrastructure supports the PPP operation system and the economic development within the nation. In addition, Huawei hosted and moderated an ICT round table that tackled topics such as trend and development of e-Government, cloud structure application for e-Government, threatens of E-Government and security concerns, and Huawei’s practices and success story.

Over the years, Huawei has provided a significant number of jobs in Egypt, with 700 locals being directly employed by the company and further 2,000 through indirect jobs. The company has set up the headquarters of its Northern Africa Regional Office in Egypt in 1999. Later, it launched multiple centers in Egypt, including the Middle East and Northern Africa Training Centre, Technical Assistance Centre and Application and Software Research Base. In the future, Huawei plans to continue setting up its training centers in partnership with Egyptian higher education institutes. This in addition to providing more training opportunities to students and fresh graduates, customers and partners in the coming five years.

هواوي تستمر في دعمها لقطاع الاتصالات و تكنولوجيا المعلومات من خلال مشاركتها في القمة السنوية الثالثة للشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص بمصر 2015
القاهرة، مصر، 25 أكتوبر 2015. يسر شركة هواوي، وهي إحدى الشركات الرائدة عالميًا في تقديم حلول تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات، الإعلان عن مشاركتها بإعتبارها الشريك الأستراتيجي في تكنولوجيا المعلومات والأتصالات في القمة المصرية لأستثمارات الشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص لعام 2015 التي عقدت من 19 إلى 20 أكتوبر في فندق الفور سيزونز نايل بلازا بالقاهرة.
وقد عقدت القمة تحت رعاية معالي رئيس الوزراء م. شريف إسماعيل، وتدعمها رسميًا وزارة المالية من خلال الوحدة المركزية للشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص. وقد إجتمع في هذا اللقاء مستشارون مصريون، ومستثمرون، والكثير من الوزراء ورواد القطاع الخاص الدوليين المشهورين من أجل بحث إطار الوحدة المركزية للشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص لمناقشة خطط التنمية المصرية القائمة والمقبلة في مجال الشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص في مجالات عديدة مثل المياه، والطاقة، والكهرباء، والصحة، وشبكات البنية الأساسية. ويهدف هذا اللقاء إلى طرح كبرى المشروعات الوطنية و رؤية الدولة و الخطوات الإستراتيجية اللازمة مما يؤدي إلى توفير فرص العمل للشباب المصري و يرفع كفاءة الإقتصاد المصري
وفي ظل مشاركتها في السوق المصرية على مدار الستة عشر عامًا الماضية، تؤمن هواوي أن السوق المصرية مليئة بالفرص، وأن التحول الرقمي للبنية الأساسية التكنولوجية في مصر من شأنها أن تخلق فرص عمل كبيرة وتدفع النمو الأجتماعي والأقتصادي والأستثمار. وخلال القمة، دعت هواوي أحد أكثر الخبراء تخصصًا لمناقشة كيفية دعم البنية الأساسية التكنولوجية لتفعيل نظام الشراكة والأرتقاء بالنمو الأقتصادي في البلد. كما إستضافت هواوي وأدارت جلسة مناقشة بشأن الأتجاه نحو الحكومة الإلكترونية وتطويرها، وتطبيق هيكل الحوسبة السحابية للحكومة الإلكترونية، وتهديدات الحكومة الإلكترونية والأجراءت الأمنية، وممارسات هواوي وقصص نجاحها فى مجال الحكومة الأكترونية.
وقد صرح السيد/ يانج تاو- الرئيس التنفيذى لهواوي للتكنولوجيا مصر، بقوله "لقد أدركت هواوي دائمًا حجم مصر في مبادرتها للعولمة، وهي ترى فيها مركزًا إقليميًا هاماً. وتسعى هواوي جاهدة لكي تصبح مساهمًا قيمًا في التقدم الأقتصادي والأجتماعي في مصر. كما أننا نؤمن بشد في أن المشروعات المقبلة في ظل الشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص لديها دور بالغ الأهمية في النمو الأقتصادي المصري. ونحن موجودون هنا لنثبت إلتزامنا وللعمل كشريك إستراتيجي تكنولوجي يعتمد عليه وجدير بالثقة في المشروعات الكبرى للشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص."
وعلى مدار السنوات، قامت هواوي بتوفير عدد كبير من الوظائف في مصر، حيث جرى توظيف 700 مواطن مصري مباشرة من قبل الشركة، إضافة إلى 2000 آخرين من خلال الوظائف غير المباشرة. وقد أنشأت الشركة مقرها لإقليم شمال أفريقيا في مصر عام 1999. ولاحقًا، أطلقت مراكز متعددة في مصر، بما فيها المركز التدريبي للشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، ومركز المساعدة الفنية، وقاعدة أبحاث التطبيقات والبرمجيات. وتخطط هواوي في المستقبل للأستمرار في إنشاء مراكزها التدريبية بالشراكة مع مؤسسات التعليم العالي المصرية، بالأضافة إلى توفير المزيد من فرص التدريب للطلبة وحديثي التخرج، والعملاء والشركاء في الخمس سنوات المقبلة.
