Cyber-Security Spending Expected to Increase by 2019
The 7th edition of the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR 2016), which is scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi on 15th -17th March, 2016, will witness the debut of a leading international event, Infosecurity Middle East.
Infosecurity Middle East is a highly respected international brand in the information security industry and in 2016 will be a co-located exhibition with ISNR. Infosecurity Middle East will provide an opportunity for regional governments, critical infrastructure, major public institutions, IT security firms, and cyber-security professionals to review the latest trends and innovative solutions to ensure the security of business information and IT infrastructure.
World countries see cyber-crime as a growing threat, and are set to invest heavily on cyber security over the next four years.
In 2014, according to a security report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the number of information security incidents rose by 48 per cent to 42.8m, compared to 2013.
The Cisco 2014 Annual Security Report documents unprecedented growth of advanced attacks and malicious traffic against the Middle East region; particularly in the Energy sector, which is among the top five most-targeted industries by cyber-criminals and malware attacks in 2014, according to report.
Additionally, the global energy sector was subject to a 300% higher malware encounter rate than the median industry. This indicates that investment in cyber security is a critical issue for governments and corporations alike.
Another report by MarketsandMarkets shows that regional governments will have to spend upwards of USD 9.5 billion on cyber-security by 2019; to support governments and enterprises collaboration to implement strict laws and regulations for securing networks.
Nicky Dawson Group Exhibition Director – at Reed Exhibitions noted that cyber security requires constant follow up of the latest solutions, advanced technologies that are rapidly evolving. She also said that the constant change and evolution of the internet and related technologies paves the way for further cyber attacks against governments and businesses alike both regionally and internationally.
Adding further, she said: “Cyber security was the key topic that was discussed during this year’s World Economic Forum. All participants have agreed that it represents a threat to national security. In this context, the launch of Infosecurity Middle East will bring a valuable addition to the rapidly growing regional information security market, with more than 20 years of experience in cyber security in Europe.”
Nicky Dawson also noted that ISNR is the third biggest international exhibition and conference on national defense in the world, and brings countries from all over the world together to check most recent solutions in national security area. Under the guidance and direction of the UAE's Ministry of Interior, ISNR was established as a dedicated platform for countries from around the world to view and source the world's latest homeland security solutions.
In conclusion, Dawson indicated that ISNR 2016, which will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi on 15th -17th March, 2016, is expected to bring together 500 exhibitors from 45 countries. The exhibition will occupy a total area of about 27,000 square meters, where exhibitors will showcase their security solutions to 20,000 visitors from over 90 countries; 18,000 specialists and decision-makers from public and private sectors regionally and internationally, and 150 regional and international government and corporate buyers.

"آيسنار2016" يشهد إطلاق نسخة من معرض"أمن المعلومات"
تشهد الدورة السابعة من المعرض الدولي للأمن الوطني ودرء المخاطر (آيسنار2016) أبوظبي إطلاق نسخة جديدة من معرض "أمن المعلومات- الشرق الأوسط"، في الفترة من 15 إلى 17 مارس من العام المقبل.
ويشكل معرض "أمن المعلومات الشرق الأوسط " أحد أهم المعارض في هذا المجال حيث يقام خلال العام 2016 كحدث مصاحب لمعرض "آيسنار" أبوظبي، ويتيح للحكومات، وقطاع البنية التحتية الحيوي، وكبرى المؤسسات العامة، وشركات تقنية المعلومات،ومسؤولي الأمن الإلكتروني، فرصة الاطلاع على أحدث التوجهات والحلول المبتكرة لضمان أمن المعلومات التجارية وسلامة البنية التحتية لتقنية المعلومات.
وتسعى دول العالم لضخ استثمارات كبيرة في مجال الأمن الإلكتروني على مدى السنوات الأربع المقبلة، بهدف التصدي للجريمة الالكترونية، التي تشكل تهديداً وخطراً متنامياً، على المجتمعات كافة.
وأشار أحدث التقارير التي أصدرتها شركة "برايس ووترهاوس كوبرز" الاستشارية العالمية إلى زيادة هائلة في عدد جرائم الأمن الإلكتروني بالعالم خلال العام 2014، حيث بلغت حوالي 42.8 مليون جريمة، ما يمثل زيادة بنسبة 48 بالمئة مقارنة بالعام 2013.
ومن جهة أخرى ذكر التقرير الأمني السنوي لشركة سيسكو، الرائدة في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات، أن منطقة الشرق الأوسط تواجه تهديدات متزايدة جراء الهجمات الالكترونية التي يشنها قراصنة الإنترنت من خلال البرمجيات الخبيثة، مستهدفة مختلف القطاعات، لا سيما قطاع الطاقة، الذي حلّ بين أبرز خمسة قطاعات تتهددها هجمات البرمجيات الخبيثة على الصعيد العالمي في العام 2014.
وأوضح التقرير، ان قطاع الطاقة العالمي تعرض لهجمات خبيثة فاقت في حجمها معدل ما تعرضت له القطاعات الأخرى بنسبة 300%، الأمر الذي يؤكد على أهمية الاستثمار في الأمن الالكتروني من قبل الحكومات والشركات الخاصة على حد سواء.
وأشار تقرير حديث آخر صدر عن "ماركتس آند ماركتس" إلى أن الحكومات الإقليمية سوف تنفق ما يزيد على 9.5 مليارات دولار على الأمن الإلكتروني بحلول العام 2019، في ضوء تنسيق وتعاون بين الحكومات والشركات لتطبيق لوائح تنظيمية صارمة بشأن تأمين الشبكات الإلكترونية.
وقالت نكي دوسن، مديرة إدارة المعارض في شركة ريد للمعارض إن واقع الأمن الإلكتروني الحالي، يتطلب متابعةً دائمة لأحدث الحلول والتقنيات المتطورة والاطلاع المستمر على كل ما هو جديد فيها، خاصة أن هذا المجال يشهد الكثير من التطورات السريعة والمتلاحقة، لافته إلى أن التطور المستمر في مجال الإنترنت والتقنيات التي تندرج ضمنها، الأمر الذي يفتح المجال إلى المزيد من الهجمات الالكترونية عالمياً وإقليمياً، مستهدفةً القطاع الحكومي وقطاع الأعمال معاً.
وأضافت أن موضوع الأمن الالكتروني يعد أحد أهم القضايا الرئيسية التي تمت مناقشتها خلال المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي هذا العام، واتفق جميع المشاركين على أنها تشكل تهديداً على الأمن الوطني لبلدانهم. وانطلاقاً من ذلك، يمثل إطلاق معرض "أمن المعلومات الشرق الأوسط" إضافة مميزة لأسواق المنطقة سريعة النمو خصوصاً بما يملكه هذا المعرض من خبرات راسخة في مجال أمن المعلومات امتدت لأكثر من عشرين عاماً في أوروبا.
وأوضحت أن المعرض الدولي للأمن الوطني ودرء المخاطر "آيسنار"، يُعتبر ثالث أكبر معرض ومؤتمر في مجال الدفاع الوطني بالعالم، تأسس تحت إشرافٍ وتوجيهٍ من وزارة الداخلية بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، ليشكّل منصة شاملة تجتمع على أرضيتها دول من أنحاء العالم للاطلاع على أحدث الحلول في مجال الأمن الوطني .
وذكرت انه من المتوقع أن يشارك في الحدث الذي يقام في شهر مارس من العام المقبل 2016 ويستمر لثلاثة أيام، 500 شركة عارضة من 45 دولة تعرض حلولها الأمنية أمام نحو 20 ألف زائر قادمين مما يزيد على 90 بلداً، على مساحة 27 ألف متر مربع، علاوة على 18 ألف زائر من المختصين وصانعي القرار من القطاعين العام والخاص محلياً وإقليمياً، إضافة إلى 150 من المشترين من أعضاء الوفود الحكومية من المنطقة والعالم.
