Volvo Cars explores the potential safety, convenience and benefits of connected cars as they lead the market in innovation

Volvo Cars is currently investigating a wide range of connected car services that could be provided thanks to available in-car data and the Volvo Cloud. In the future it will be possible to connect ground breaking cloud-based technology with traffic management systems across Egyptian cities in order to enable sharing and maximize valuable insights gained from real-time data.
Intelligent Cities’ solutions could for instance improve traffic flow management by optimizing traffic lights, speed limits and offering re-routing suggestions based on real-time traffic jam alerts. Real time warnings of dangerous weather and accidents could also be provided. And soon, Intelligent Cities will be able to use connected street lights to illuminate blocked roads in another color when detected by a connected car to alert other road users of dangerous road conditions.
If a Volvo car detects that a certain stretch of road is blocked, for instance, it can make other connected cars in Egypt aware of this via the Volvo Cloud. Connected car services deliver benefits by reducing the potential for accidents and lowering the cost of road maintenance by making road maintenance more efficient.
Road Status technology has been researched and developed over several years at Volvo Cars. Currently being piloted, Volvo Cars is working on implementing the technology and making connected systems a soon to be reality in all its vehicles.

وتقوم شركة فولفو حاليا بتجربة موديلات متعددة من السيارات المجهزة بخدمات الانترنت وذلك بفضل تقنية بيانات السيارة و سحابة فولفو للمعلومات، وقريبا سيكون بإمكان السيارة استخدام تقنية المكابح الأرضية و التواصل مع نظام إدارة حركة المرور عبر المدن المصرية وذلك بغرض توفير أكبر قدر من البيانات خلال الوقت الحقيقي.
ويمكن لحلول المدن الذكية تحسين حركة المرور من خلال استخدام نظم إشارات المرور المثلى، وتحديد السرعات و تقديم حلول للمسارات الجديدة من خلال إنذار بالتكدس المروري في الزمن الفعلي، وكذلك تحذيرات فورية في حالات الطقس السيئ والحوادث الخطرة، وسرعان ما سيتم ربط المدن الذكية بإشارات المرور في الشوارع لتمييز الطرق المزدحمة وتوضيح الطرق البديلة وتمييزها بألوان أخرى من خلال تنبيه مستخدمي الطريق في حالة ظروف الطريق السيئة.
وعلى سبيل المثال ففي حالة استشعار سيارة فولفو أن هناك انغلاق في الطريق، فإنها تقوم بتنبيه باقي السيارات الموجودة في مصر وذلك عن طريق خدمة سحابة فولفو، وهذا ما يقلل من وقوع الحوادث وتوفر تكلفة صيانة الطرق ورفع كفاءتها.
وقد تم تطوير وتجربة تقنية حالة الطريق واستخدامها في سيارات فولفو طوال سنوات عديدة، وقريبا سيتم تعميمها على كافة سيارات فولفو.
وفي موديلاتها الحالية لعام 2015، فإن سيارات فولفو قد عززت أداء القيادة والراحة، وهذا ما نلمسه في القدرة الفائقة على التحكم، والتعامل الحذر مع الطريق، والخيارات العديدة لإعدادات هيكل السيارة، وفي موديلاتها S60الديناميكي ، S80 الفخم، V40 الرياضي، و XC60الشهير، فإن كل موديل يمتاز بالقيادة المتميزة، والتصميم الرائع في مقصورة القيادة المجهزة.
