The two Companies award External Façade contract worth SAR 200 Million to UAE based Technical Glass and Aluminium Company
[May 5, 2015] - Lamar Investment and Real Estate Development Co., a Saudi Arabia based leading real estate developer and Drake & Scull International PJSC (DSI), a regional market leader in the integrated design, engineering and construction disciplines of General Contracting, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), Water and Power), Rail and Oil and Gas, have announced significant progress on the upcoming prestigious SAR 1.725 billion Lamar Towers development in Jeddah. The two companies have recently awarded the external façade scope of works to Technical Glass and Aluminium Company, a leading provider of Aluminium, glass, steel, GRC, marble, granite, and precast solutions for building external envelopes, for a total value of SAR 200 Million to mark the next phase in the construction of the remarkable twin structures.
Lamar Investment and Real Estate Development Company and Drake & Scull International are co-developers of the Lamar towers, and Drake & Scull Construction KSA is undertaking the general contracting responsibilities on the project.
The Lamar Towers project occupies a 34,800 square meter plot with a total built up area of 409,770 square meter on Jeddah Corniche, and comprises two-high rise towers sitting atop a 13-floor curved podium. Tower T1 and T2 measure 322 meters and 293 meters in height and comprise 57 and 49 storeys respectively. Upon completion, the mixed use Commercial and Residential Towers will offer a unique lifestyle at the highest level of living standards, a remarkable stylish housing and a gateway for modern and contemporary businesses in the Kingdom for international companies.
Progress on the project has been on schedule and DSI has been able to complete concrete works on nearly 65 floors on both towers combined, as well finish construction works on five levels of shared parking, and twelve levels of the shared podium structure. Work on the façade is scheduled to start in the second half of 2015 with the landscaping works set to begin in early 2016. To date, DSC has utilized over 24,000m3 of concrete and 6500 tons of steel on site.
The Technical Glass and Aluminium Company’s scope of work includes the design and supply of glass and aluminum and all the façade works of the prestigious towers including the unitized curtain walls, precast, stone panel and the cladding panel.

5 مايو 2015 - أعلنت "دريك آند سكل إنترناشيونال"، الشركة الرائدة إقليمياً في مجال أنظمة التصميم والهندسة والبناء المتكاملة الخاصة بالأعمال الميكانيكية والكهربائية والصحية والمقاولات العامة والمياه والطاقة والسكك الحديدية والنفط والغاز والمياه ومعالجة المياه العادمة؛ و"لمار للاستثمار والتطوير العقاري"، إحدى شركات التطوير العقاري الرائدة ومقرها السعودية، عن إحراز تقدم كبير في مشروع تطوير "أبراج لمار" الراقي في جدة والبالغة قيمته 1.725 مليار ريال سعودي. وقامت الشركتان مؤخراً بمنح عقد تنفيذ أعمال الواجهة الخارجية بقيمة 200 مليون ريال سعودي إلى "شركة الزجاج الفني والألمنيوم"، إحدى الشركات الرائدة في مجال توريد الألمنيوم والزجاج والحديد والخرسانة المسلحة بالألياف الزجاجية والرخام والجرانيت والخرسانة الجاهزة للهياكل الخارجية للمباني، وذلك لإنجاز المرحلة المقبلة في عملية بناء هذين البرجين التوأم.
وتعتبر كل من "لمار للاستثمار والتطوير العقاري" و"دريك آند سكل إنترناشيونال" مطورين مشتركين لمشروع "أبراج لمار"، حيث تقوم "دريك آند سكل للإنشاءات السعودية" بتولي مسؤوليات المقاولات العامة في هذا المشروع.
ويمتد مشروع "أبراج لمار" على مساحة تصل إلى 34.800 متر مربع، بإجمالي مساحة بناء تبلغ 409.770 متر مربع ضمن موقع إستراتيجي على كورنيش جدة، حيث يتكون المشروع من برجين شاهقين يرتكزان على منصة مكونة من 13 طابقاً. ويبلغ إرتفاع البرج "T1" 322 متراً، فيما يبلغ ارتفاع البرج "T2" 293 متراً، ويتألفان من 57 و49 طابقاً على التوالي. وعند إكتمال العمل في المشروع، فإن هذين البرجين السكنيين والتجاريين سيوفران نمط حياة فريد وفق أعلى مستويات المعيشة، فضلاً عن توفيرهما مساكن عصرية وبوابة للأعمال الحديثة في المملكة للشركات العالمية.
وتسير الأعمال في مشروع "أبراج لمار" وفق الجدول الزمني المحدد، حيث إستكملت "دريك آند سكل إنترناشيونال" أعمال الخرسانة في ما يقرب من 65 طابقاً في كلا البرجين معاً، وكذلك تم الانتهاء من أعمال البناء في خمسة طوابق لمبنى موقف السيارات المشترك، و12 طابقاً من هيكل المنصة المشتركة. ومن المقرر أن تبدأ أعمال الواجهة في النصف الثاني من العام الجاري، فيما ستبدأ أعمال المسطحات الخضراء وتنسيق الحدائق في أوائل العام المقبل. واستخدمت "دريك آند سكل إنترناشيونال" حتى هذا التاريخ أكثر من 24.000 متر مكعب من الخرسانة و6500 طن من الحديد في موقع المشروع.
ويتضمن نطاق عمل "شركة الزجاج الفني والألمنيوم" في هذا المشروع تصميم وتوريد الزجاج والألمنيوم الخاصة بواجهة البرجين بما في ذلك جدران الواجهات الزجاجية والألواح مسبقة الصنع وألواح التزيين الحجري وألواح الإكساء للمباني.
