Abu Dhabi, 5 May 2015: Abu Dhabi Media, one of the fastest growing, multi-platform media and entertainment organizations in the Middle East, launches a 24/7 HD action sports channel focused on live broadcast. In collaboration with IMG, Abu Dhabi Media welcomes EDGE Sport HD to the Abu Dhabi Television network making it the first English Channel in the group transforming the UAE sporting sector.
Commenting on the launch, Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh, Executive Director of Television of Abu Dhabi Media, said: “We are working seamlessly on ensuring the best content reaches its audience world wide. We are focused on engaging the audience through unique programming and revolutionary content. In line with this, we are adding EDGE Sports HD to our television network which is focused on hosting the highest profile events targeting a very unique demographic.”
The latest addition is dubbed the future of action sports and is set to transform sport media setting a new benchmark by brings over 900 hours of content and broadcasts over 500 live hours through 320 million households from 25 different territories.
“Our multi-platform offering is built around the fan; delivering the best content world wide at a click of a button. We are focusing on keeping up with the trends today working towards setting trends tomorrow,” Al Sheikh added. “Abu Dhabi Television network does work on bringing international brands to the region, but still works on incorporating the local flare into the content. The 24/7 fully HD channel is the fastest growing TV channel in action sports worldwide and holds the lowest repeat ratio in this genre.” He concluded.
Programming includes: The World Surf League, FIA World Rallycross Championship, World Snowboard Tour, Kiteboarding, BMX Supercross World Cup Series, The International Festival of Extreme Sports, The Vans Bowl-A-Rama 2015, Freestyle,ch and the Kimberly Diamond Cup.
The encrypted Channel promises to bring over 53 live events, 514 live broadcast in 100% HD.

إضافة جديدة لشبكة تلفزيون أبوظبي للإعلام في مجال رياضات الإثارة: انطلاق قناة EDGE HD الرياضية
أبو ظبي، 5 مايو 2015: أبو ظبي للإعلام، واحدة من أسرع شركات الإعلام نمواً، وذات منصات متعددة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، تطلق قناة إثارة رياضية بالتعاون مع IMG، ترحب أبوظبي للإعلام بـ EDGE الرياضية HD على شبكة تلفزيون أبوظبي مما يجعلها القناة الإنجليزية الأولى في المجموعة تتمحور حول رياضات الإثارة، والذي يمثل نقلة نوعية في قطاع الرياضة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
وتعقيبا على اطلاق القناة الجديدة، قال السيد عبد الهادي الشيخ، المدير التنفيذي لدائرة تلفزيون أبوظبي للإعلام “نحن نعمل ائماً على تقديم أفضل محتوى لجمهورها في جميع أنحاء العالم." وأضاف "تركز شبكة تلفزيون أبوظبي لدينا على التعامل مع الجمهور من خلال برامج فريدة من نوعها ومحتوى متجدد وذلك عبر اضافة قناة EDGE بالجودة العالية HD لباقة قنواتها ومن المعروف عنها استضافة أفضل وأكبر الأحداث التي تستهدف محبي رياضات الإثارة، كما تقدم تجربة متكاملة للجمهور، تتيح لهم التواصل المباشر مع رموزها ومشاهيرها."
هذه الإضافة تعمل في سبيل تغير خارطة الإعلام الرياضي لرياضات الإثارة من خلال أكثر من 900 ساعة من المحتوى والبث لأكثر من 500 ساعة مباشرة لأكثر من 320 مليون أسرة من 25 دولة مختلفة.
وأضاف الشيخ "لدينا منصة متعددة الطرح تتمحور حول جمهورنا، وتقدم محتوى عالمي على نطاق واسع في نقرة زر واحدة. نحن نركز على مواكبة التطور اليوم، كما نعمل على وضع معايير التطور مستقبلاً" وأضاف "شبكة تلفزيون أبوظبي لا تعمل فقط على جلب العلامات التجارية العالمية للمنطقة، بل تعمل أيضا على إضافة اللمسة المحلية للمحتوى. وتعتبر القناة التي تبث محتوى عالي الجودة على مدار الساعة، إحدى أسرع القنوات نمواً في مجال رياضات الإثارة على مستوى العالم."
وتشمل البرامج التي تقدمها EDGE: الدوري العالمي لركوب الأمواج، بطولة العالم Rallycross، الجولة العالمية للتزحلق على الجليد، نادي السيارات، كأسBMX سوبركروس العالمي، المهرجان الدولي لرياضات الإثارة، كأس الماس كيمبرلي.
وتَعِد القناة المشفرة بتقديم أكثر من 53 من الأحداث الحية، والبث المباشر لـ514 برنامج بتقنية HD .
