Polaroid ZIP allows consumers to instantly print their photos from today’s most popular smartphones and tablets

JEETEK Group, the authorized master distributor for all Polaroid products in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region, has announced the Middle East launch of the Polaroid Zip, an instant mobile photo printer at this year’s edition of DISTREE Middle East, the ultimate professional networking event for senior executives from the consumer electronics, digital device and ICT products retail channel in the Middle East (ME) region, which runs from May 12 - 14, 2015 at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. The new unit packages instant printing in a pocket-sized device allowing consumers to easily print their photos from any Bluetooth enabled smartphone or tablet. Using a dedicated mobile app available for both iOS and Android, the Polaroid Zip mobile printer seamlessly connects to any smartphone or tablet and allows users to instantly print 2x3 inch color photos from virtually any image on their Apple or android device.
According to JEETEK Group senior executives, the Polaroid Zip was engineered to fit into a pocket and designed to meet the demands of any lifestyle—being one of the smallest and lightest portable printers that is approximately the size of a smartphone. Weighing at only 186 grams and measuring 2.91” x 4.72”, the printer is just less than one inch thick and has only one physical control, which is a power button that has been seamlessly integrated into the unit’s boldly simple design. Polaroid Zip was created by renowned design firm Ammunition, which is led by industrial designer Robert Brunner. Ammunition is the design studio behind many award-winning consumer products such as the wildly popular Polaroid Cube, the Beats by Dr. Dre line of headphones and speakers, and the Square Stand from Square.

The Polaroid Zip's app can be downloaded for free on Apple's iTunes and Google Play. The app, which allows users to connect to their mobile devices via Bluetooth 4.0 or NFC, gives users the ability to express their creativity and enhance their prints. Users can simply capture a photo or select and edit an image from their gallery, applying a wide range of creative filters, effects and controls. The new device utilizes the revolutionary ink-free Zero Ink® Printing technology developed by ZINK Imaging. The Polaroid Zip photo printer includes an internal, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that’s capable of printing up to 25 ZINK photos on a single charge.

أعلنت "مجموعة جي تيك" (Jeetek Group)، الموزع المعتمد لكافة منتجات "بولارويد" (Polaroid) في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، عن إطلاقها طابعة الصور الفورية النقالة "بولارويد زيب" (Polaroid ZIP) في أسواق الشرق الأوسط وذلك خلال دورة هذا العام من ملتقى "ديستري الشرق الأوسط" (DISTREE Middle East)، فعالية التواصل المخصصة للمسؤولين التنفيذيين في قطاعات الإلكترونيات الإستهلاكية والأجهزة الرقمية وقنوات توزيع منتجات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات في الشرق الأوسط المقامة خلال الفترة من 12 ولغاية 14 مايو/أيار الجاري في فندق فيرمونت باب البحر في أبوظبي. وتتيح الطابعة الجيبية الجديدة إمكانية الطباعة الفورية، ما يتيح للعملاء سهولة طباعة الصور من أجهزة الهواتف الذكية والأجهزة اللوحية المزودة بتقنية "بلوتوث". ومن خلال استخدام تطبيق الهاتف النقال المخصّص والمتاح لنظامي التشغيل "آي. أو. أس" (iOS) و"آندرويد" (Android)، يمكن ربط الطابعة النقالة "بولارويد زيب" بسهولة مع أي جهاز هاتف ذكي أو جهاز لوحي، الأمر الذي يتيح للمستخدمين إجراء الطباعة الفورية الملونة بقياس 2×3 بوصة لأي صورة على جهاز "آبل" (Apple) أو "آندرويد".
ووفقاً للمديرين التنفيذيين في "مجموعة جي تيك"، فقد تم تصميم "بولارويد زيب" لتكون بحجم الجيب ولتلبي متطلبات الحياة العصرية لكونها واحدة من أصغر الطابعات المحمولة وأخفها وزناً، حيث لا يتجاوز حجمها حجم الهاتف الذكي. وتزن الطابعة 186 غراماً وهي بقياس 2.91 بوصة × 4.72 بوصة وتبلغ سماكتها أقل من بوصة ولها زر واحد للتحكم وهو زر الطاقة، الذي تم دمجه بسلاسة في التصميم البسيط والمميز لهذه الطابعة. وتم ابتكار تصميم الطابعة "بولارويد زيب" من قبل شركة التصميم المعروفة "أميونيشن" (Ammunition)، التي يقودها المصمم الصناعي روبرت برونر. وقامت "أميونيشن" بتصميم العديد من المنتجات الإستهلاكية الحائزة على عدة جوائز مثل "بولارويد كيوب" (Polaroid Cube)، ومجموعة سماعات ومكبرات الصوت "بيتس باي د. دري" (Beats by Dr. Dre)، و"سكوير ستاند" (Square Stand) من شركة "سكوير".

ويمكن تحميل التطبيق الخاص بالطابعة "بولارويد زيب" مجاناً من خلال متجر آي. تيونز" (iTunes) لشركة "آبل" ومتجر "غوغل بلاي" (Google Play). ويسهم التطبيق، الذي يتيح إمكانية ربط الطابعة بالأجهزة النقالة عن طريق تقنية "بلوتوث 4.0" أو تقنية التواصل قريب المدى (NFC)، في منح المستخدمين القدرة على التعبير عن إبداعاتهم وتحسين مطبوعاتهم. ويمكن للمستخدمين ببساطة إلتقاط صورة أو إختيار وتحرير صورة من معرض الصور، ومن ثم تطبيق مجموعة واسعة من الفلاتر والتأثيرات الإبداعية. وتستفيد الطابعة الجديدة من تقنية الطباعة الثورية الخالية من الحبر "زيرو إنك" (Zero Ink®)، التي طورتها شركة "زينك إميجنغ" (ZINK Imaging). وتشتمل طابعة الصور "بولارويد زيب" على بطارية داخلية قابلة لإعادة الشحن من نوع "ليثيوم-إيون" (lithium-ion) والتي يمكنها العمل حتى طباعة ما يصل إلى 25 صورة في كل عملية شحن.
