AUC TO HOLD A CONFERENCE ON THE ROLE OF STATE-OWNED MEDIA


WHAT
A conference on state-owned media role, “State-Owned Broadcast Media: Between Present Challenges and Future Prospects,” organized by the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism at the American University in Cairo (AUC).

The conference will discuss in its two sessions the current burdens and challenges faced by the state media and the proposed solutions to reform the current system.
WHO
Speakers include heads of the Union of Egyptian Radio and Television Hassan Hamed, Osama El Sheikh, Sami El Sharif, Tariq Mahdi and Essam Prince; in addition to Ahmed Darwish, former minister of administrative development; Ahmed Galal former minister of finance; Amgad Moussa Sabry, marketing expert; Sayed El-Ghadhban radio veteran and Gamal El Shaaer radio and television presenter.

Sessions will be moderated by Hafez Al Mirazi, director of the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism, AUC.
