Hult International
Business School hosts unique open accelerated career day in partnership
with a who’s who of blue-chip multi-national companies
Dubai, April 21, 2015:
Harnessing the burgeoning potential of the Middle East’s business
environment, Hult International Business School – Dubai, the world’s
largest business school, today hosted its annual accelerated career day
in the UAE.
The unique
concept paired candidates with more than 38 leading multinational,
blue-chip companies for 20-minute sessions, representing a diverse range
of industries from consulting, finance, FMCG, technology, oil and gas,
luxury goods and more to match a range of skill sets and experience
levels.
“The Middle
East, and particularly the UAE, right now offers unprecedented job
opportunities in widely varied tracks,” said Huseyn Charif, Hult’s
Senior Director of Corporate Relations for the Middle East, Africa and
South Asia. “We are capitalising on the wonderful possibilities this
region provides, many other major cities are known for outstanding
opportunities in one sector, such as San Francisco for technology or
Boston for consulting; Dubai is really a crossroads for so many global
companies and industries, the prospects are much more varied.”
This ‘speed
dating’ career day was designed to give potential employees the most
impactful face-time with preferred companies and firms. Some of the
20-minute slots were pre-arranged, but the majority operated off an
‘open door’ system.
Charif says this
is an element of Hult’s unique slant to networking, guaranteeing
efficient contact with key business leaders. It is a part of an
educational approach that has garnered Hult the top spot globally for
diversity of industries recruiting graduates in the Economist’s ‘Which
MBA?’ rankings.
The global business school was also recently ranked in the top 10 for employer satisfaction from its graduates by Bloomberg Business Week.
The University offers a range of business degrees from Executive MBAs,
to Finance, International Business, Marketing, and Social
Entrepreneurship programs in campuses in Boston, London, San Francisco,
Dubai, and Shanghai.
“We think our
positioning in Dubai is a key element of the strength of the university
on a global scale,” added Charif. “We are seeing even more blue-chip
companies bring business to the Middle East and more so that are
recruiting knowledgeable candidates with experience in this region. Hult
is proud to be a conduit for that for our students.”
