27 April 2015, Cairo, Egypt: Russian and Egyptian trade delegates will meet in Cairo on 25 and 26 May 2015 on a business mission entitled “Trade and Industrial Dialogue Russia – Egypt.” The forum, held under the auspices of the ministries of industry of both countries, is aimed at demonstrating the investment and export potential of Egypt and Russia as well as strengthening business contacts and expanding economic and trading cooperation between the two countries.
The Russian delegation will be led by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Egyptian delegation is led by Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Small and Medium Enterprises. The first day will be an official reception for the heads of major Egyptian and Russian companies.
The forum is a unique international communications platform which will allow business communities from both countries to find new prospects and opportunities for efficient cooperation. The forum program involves communication between business representatives in a B2B setting and a presentation area for Russian and Egyptian companies.
The forum will be attended by some of Russia’s largest companies including the United Shipbuilding Corporation, Vnesheconombank, Rostekhnologii, UAC, AVTOVAZ, KAMAZ, URALVAGONZAVOD, and EXIAR, among others.
Egyptian and Russian entrepreneurs will also discuss possible high-tech joint ventures. The forum will include multiple business meetings about cooperation in aircraft engineering, ship building, transport and agricultural engineering, petrochemical and nuclear industries, and other sectors.
The business mission is officially organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation with official support of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Small and Medium Enterprises of Egypt, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Russian Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, and Russian-Egyptian Business Council.
