March 26, 2015: STC Advanced Solutions, the leading communications company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and key provider of advanced, turnkey and reliable Information Technology (IT) solutions participated as the technical sponsor for the second edition of the GCC Petroleum Media Forum, which was held from March 22 to March 24, 2015 under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in Riyadh. The company’s participation reflected its continuing commitment towards raising the bar of international and local media practices across key industries, particularly in the oil and gas segment.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by various ministries of oil and gas from GCC economies and leading media experts and professionals covering the oil and gas industry. The forum continued to serve as a strategic platform to discuss the latest trends, developments, challenges and future projects of the sector. The first day of the forum was highlighted by a ministerial panel discussion that was led by His Excellency Engineer Ali Bin Ibrahim Al Naimi, Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The opening day of the forum also included an honorary ceremony dedicated for the sponsors of the event and the leading players who have had a pivotal role in promoting the petroleum media industry across the region. In addition, the event also hosted a series of specialized workshops for media officials from the private and public sector covering timely topics such as fundamentals of journalistic writing, specialized media and importance of the media in the efforts to reduce energy consumption in the GCC region.
For its second and third day, the forum featured a series of activities that aims to highlight the current and future status of oil media in Gulf countries. Sessions also included discussions and presentations of white papers and case studies aimed at developing solutions for the growth and development of petroleum media in the region.

26 مارس 2015: شاركت شركة "STC للحلول المتقدمة"، الشركة الرائدة في مجال توفير حلول تقنية المعلومات المتقدمة والمتكاملة، كراعٍ تقني لـ "ملتقى الإعلام البترولي الثاني لدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي العربية" الذي إختتمت فعالياته مؤخّراً في الرياض. وتأتي مشاركة "STC للحلول المتقدمة" في الحدث في سياق اهتمامها المطرد بدعم الجهود المحلية والخليجية الرامية إلى الإرتقاء بالمجال الإعلامي في مختلف القطاعات والصناعات الحيوية وعلى رأسها قطاع النفط والغاز.
وشهد حفل الإفتتاح مشاركة عدد من وزراء البترول والطاقة في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي ونخبة من الخبراء والمتخصصين في مجال الإعلام البترولي للوقوف على آخر التطورات والتحديات التي تواجه القطاع على مستوى المنطقة وإستعراض التوجهات والتطلعات المستقبلية للقطاع. وتخلل اليوم الأول جلسة نقاش وزارية برئاسة معالي المهندس علي بن إبراهيم النعيمي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، بالإضافة إلى حفل تكريم خاص للشركات الراعية للملتقى والجهات الرائدة التي كان لها دور محوري في تعزيز قطاع الإعلام البترولي في المنطقة. كما شمل جدول أعمال اليوم الأول للحدث تنظيم ورشة عمل للعاملين في المجال الإعلامي في الجهات الحكومية والشركات والتي قدم خلالها عدد من الخبراء والأكاديميين في المجال خمس محاضرات مستفيضة حول أهم الموضوعات ذات الصلة مثل أسس ومقومات الكتابة الصحفية والعمل الإعلامي المتخصص وأهمية الإعلام في ترشيد الطاقة بدول الخليج العربي.
وتم إنعقاد في اليومين الثاني والثالث للمعرض سلسلة من الجلسات التفاعلية والتوعوية لإستعراض واقع ومستقبل الإعلام النفطي في الدول الخليجية وتقديم مجموعة من أوراق العمل ودراسات الحالة التي تم مناقشتها بالتفصيل للخروج بتوصيات قابلة للتنفيذ للمساهمة الفاعلة في دفع عجلة نمو وتطور قطاع الإعلام البترولي في المنطقة.
