Introducing our new project La Collina

An ancient village fully renovated, a new destination for a national and international clientele looking for a unique experience, immersed in nature. An 800-year-old estate, as large as three times the Principality of Monaco, with more than 1000 hectares of fertile soil, situated in the earth of Tuscany, in Montaione, province of Florence. During the 1960s, its inhabitants had abandoned the village, but today it has been completely restored in a smart and sustainable way by the German TUI AG, world leader company in tourism.
Toscana Resort Castelfalfi is a success story that evokes the peaceful and charming country lifestyle of ancient times, among thousand-year-old olive trees, vineyards and woods, but close to the most important Tuscan art cities.

Today “La Collina” is a brandnew village: after a careful environmental redevelopment, the old productive heart of Tenuta di Castelfalfi has come to a new life.

The village is located on top of a hill and surrounded by the Tuscan landscape. New apartments, that are included in the “Integrated System of Touristic and Lodging Territory” (RTR), will be built in perfect harmony with the natural context surrounding them. Other units will be available thanks to the careful restoration of a Tuscan farmhouse. All the necessary urbanization works will be made, as well as the related restoration works: façades will be painted with the same colors of the surrounding land; window and door fixtures will be made of wood, while roofs of cotto tiles. As for the outdoor flooring, streets will be covered with free gravel, paths with cemented gravel, and sitting areas with stone.

Thanks to this new setting, the lands of Castelfalfi will reflect its previous settlement and new green areas where to organize social activities and spend leisure time will be created: a shared swimming pool is planned to be equipped with personalized services and children activities will be organized in order to recall the old agricultural life and to mirror the old zoo-technical system. Cultivated lands, the magnificent golf course dominated by the Castle and the breathtaking view of Volterra are the astonishing scenario to all this.

The new 100 to 270-square-meter apartments will be built with local materials, according to the architectural culture of the Tuscan countryside. Particular attention will be focused on environmentally sustainable components, modern engineering equipment, B+ energy performance certificates. Special care in interior design and high-quality finishing allow guests to experience the authentic country life, as in a beautiful oil painting.
