Available from today, Wacom’s new cloud based services
offer a convenient and easy way to store images and creative work or share settings
between devices.
Today, Wacom is announcing the availability of Dropzone and Control Room;
two new cloud based services that offer fast and easy access to images and
personal settings in an increasingly mobile environment. Offering up to 2GB of
free storage, Dropzone enables users to save images of their creative work in the
cloud so that they are accessible from many different devices, anywhere,
anytime. Control Room offers a storage service for individual Wacom pen, tablet
and display settings, saving the user time on configuration when they want to
use their familiar settings on a different device of the same type. Both
Dropzone and Control Room are easy to use, free of charge and work
independently from existing services or operating systems.
Heidi Wang, Vice President Technology Marketing at Wacom, comments:
“Through our customers feedback and success of the Companion, our Stylus range
and software, it’s clear that people work on the go and across multiple
platforms. To make the change from one device to the other just a little bit
easier, the new Wacom Cloud services provide users with an easy to use and safe
hub for their images and familiar settings.” The two services are Wacom’s first
step into cloud based services that in the future will provide a system to
connect multiple devices with shared features in a comprehensive and
user-friendly open ecosystem.

Dropzone
Dropzone is an intuitive service that allows users to easily store and
access their images on any computer or device, at any time. It works just like
a personal clipboard to quickly copy and paste images. With up to 2GB of free
storage, it is particularly useful for those who like to work or connect from
various locations and who create work using multiple devices. It also provides
peace of mind as all images can be backed-up and saved for the event a computer’s
hard drive fails.
Dropzone is compatible with Windows, Mac OSX and iOS and supports all
common raster graphics image formats. Additionally, the note taking and drawing
app, Bamboo Paper for iOS, is introducing Dropzone as an integrated feature to
make importing images and exporting notes or drawings even easier.
Control Room
When working across multiple computers, customising tablet settings and
adding shortcuts etc. can be time consuming and complicated. Control Room
allows users to save their preferred Wacom Intuos and Cintiq settings in the Wacom
Cloud and access them when needed. These settings can then be uploaded quickly and
easily on to another device. Control Room is compatible with many of the
current Intuos and Cintiq products and is available for free in the Wacom
Desktop Centre, which comes with the product drivers.

خدمتي "دروب زون" (Dropzone)، و"كنترول روم" (Control Room)، القائمتين على السحابة توفران وصولاً سهلاً
وسريعاً إلى الصور والإعدادات الشخصية ضمن بيئة محمولة بصورة متزايدة. ويوفر حل
"دروب زون" مساحة تخزين مجانية تصل إلى 2 جيجابايت، حيث يمكّن الحل المستخدمين
من حفظ صور إبداعاتهم في السحابة لكي يصلوا إليها من أي مكان وأي زمان ومن أي
جهاز. بينما يوفر حل "كنترول روم" خدمة تخزين فردية لإعدادات قلم
والحاسوب اللوحي ولوحة عرض "واكوم" مما يوفر على المستخدم الوقت لضبط
الإعدادات عندما يريد استخدام إعدادات مشابهة على جهاز آخر من نفس الطراز. ويتميز
كلا الحلين بسهولة الاستخدام وبأنّهما مجّانين ويعملان بصورة منفردة بعيداً عن
الخدمات ونظم التشغيل القائمة.

معنا ونجاح سلسلة "كومبانيون"، وهي سلسلة أقلام وبرمجيات
"ستايلس"، نجد أنّ العملاء يعملون أثناء التجول وعبر عدة أنظمة مختلفة.
ومن أجل جعل عملية الإنتقال من جهاز لآخر عملية سهلة وبسيطة، ستمنح خدمة
"واكوم" الجديدة القائمة على السحابة المستخدمين مركزاً آمناً وسهلاً
لحفظ واستخدام صورهم وإعداداتهم. وتعتبر هاتان الخدمتان بوابة "واكوم"
إلى عالم الخدمات القائمة على السحابة والتي ستوفر في المستقبل نظام لتوصيل عدة
أجهزة مع بعضها البعض مع مزايا مشتركة ضمن نظام متكامل وسهل الإستخدام.
"واكوم دروب زون"
تعتبر "دروب زون" خدمة حدسيّة تمكّن
المستخدمين من تخزين صورهم والوصول إليها بسهولة عبر أي حاسوب أو جهاز وفي أي وقت.
ويعتبر هذا الحل بمثابة حافظ نصوص شخصية من أجل نسخ ولصق الصور بسرعة. ومن خلال
مساحة تخزين مجانية تصل إلى 2 جيجابايت، يعتبر الحل مفيداً جداً لمن يحب العمل أو
التواصل من مواقع مختلفة وعبر أجهزة متعددة. كما تمنح المستخدمين راحة بال كبيرة
حيث يمكن نسخ جميع الصور احتياطياً وتخزينها من أجل تجنب مشاكل تعطل القرص الصلب
في الحاسوب.
ويتوافق الحل مع نظم تشغيل
"ويندوز"، و"ماك أو. أس. أكس"، و"آي. أو. أس" ويدعم
جميع أنماط الصور. علاوة على ذلك، يقدم تطبيق "بامبو بيبر" وهو تطبيق
تسجيل الملاحظات والرسم، حل "دروب زون" على أنّه ميزة مدمجة تسهّل عملية
استيراد الصور وتصدير الملاحظات والرسومات.
"كنترول روم"
أثناء العمل بواسطة عدة حواسيب، قد تصبح مهمة
تخصيص إعدادت الحاسوب الشخصي وإضافة الإختصارات وغيرها مضيعة للوقت ومعقدة. ويتيح
حل "كنترول روم" للمستخدمين حفظ إعدادات "إنتووس"،
و"سينتيك" من "واكوم" في "سحابة واكوم" والوصول
إليها عند الحاجة. ويمكن رفع هذه الإعدادات بسرعة وسهولة إلى جهاز آخر. ويتوافق
"كنترول روم" مع العديد من منتجات "سينتيك"
و"إنتووس" وهو متوفر مجاناً في "مركز سطح مكتب واكوم" الذي
يأتي مع برمجيات تشغيل المنتجات.
