With
over 4,000 coffee shops and tea houses boasting a true café culture in the UAE,
cafes and baristas continue to account for a lucrative business of almost half
a billion dollars annually. The International Coffee & Tea Festival (ICTF) which
will be held from 12th to 14th November, 2014 at the
Meydan Gallery in Dubai, will incorporate industry Specialized Training Programmes,
National-level Coffee Championships and World Coffee Champions as three of its
most prominent features, highlighting the skills and expertise of coffee-making
in the region.
As
the only dedicated trade event for the coffee and tea industry in the Middle
East, the International Coffee & Tea Festival annually hosts the region’s
only SCAA-certified coffee training, intended to share a wealth of knowledge,
experience and cutting-edge techniques with participating professionals and
novices, so that they can expertly prepare and serve the best coffee to their
customers and guests. These training sessions will integrate the broader topics
of Coffee Preparation, Coffee Grading as well as Coffee Roasting, catering for
everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals. All workshops are conducted
by instructor-certified industry professionals and administered
by SCAA, to impart hands-on training experience to attendees who receive a
formal qualification & certification with worldwide acceptance, upon
completion.
Along
with the training sessions, the International Coffee & Tea Festival will
also host the yearly National-Level Coffee Championships, which include the UAE
National Barista Championship and the UAE National Latte Art Championship. Heralding
the recognition of the popular Turkish-style coffee preparation and celebrating
one of the oldest and traditional methods of coffee preparation, this year the ICTF
will also launch the first National Cezve/Ibrik Championship which will be the
first in the UAE. Sanctioned and licensed by World Coffee Events (WCE), the Championships
offer an effective platform to professional baristas to showcase their skills of
brewing the perfect cup of coffee. The winner of the 6th UAE Barista
Championship will receive the highest national honor for any UAE-based Barista
and will be sponsored to represent UAE at the 2015 World Barista Championship
in Seattle, Washington, competing against 56 countries.
Another
first at the Event will be the “WCE All Stars”, a brand new and exciting feature
brought by the World Coffee Events (WCE) committee, welcoming four World
Champions and recurring finalists in categories of World Barista Championship,
World Coffee Brewers Cup and the World Latte Art Championship. The baristas
that bested over 56 countries in the global Specialty Coffee arena will gather
together at the ICTF in a friendly and fun environment to participate in
onstage demonstrations and activities designed to engage the local coffee
community and educate the region through beverage demonstrations, on-demand
performances, reflections on their “champion” year, Q&As, interviews, surprise
challenges, and plenty more.

دورات تدريبية وعروض حية في "مهرجان القهوة والشاي العالمي

تحتضن دولة الإمارات
العربية المتحدة أكثر من 4,000 من المقاهي والمتاجر المتخصّصة في صناعة القهوة
والشاي، بما يجعل قطاع المقاهي بين كبرى القطاعات المربحة في الدولة بحجم يصل إلى
نحو نصف مليار دولار أمريكي سنوياً. وإنطلاقاً من هذا، يقام "مهرجان القهوة
والشاي العالمي 2014" (ICTF) في الفترة بين 12 إلى 14 نوفمبر/تشرين
الثاني المقبل في "معرض ميدان" بدبي، لإستعراض جملةٍ من الفعاليات والنشاطات
الهادفة إلى صقل المهارات والخبرات المتخصّصة في مجال صناعة القهوة والشاي في
المنطقة، أهمّها الدورات التدريبية المخصّصة والمسابقات المحلية والدولية.
وسيتخلّل "مهرجان
القهوة والشاي العالمي"، الحدث الوحيد المتخصّص بصناعة القهوة والشاي في
العالم العربي، سلسلةً من الدورات التدريبية المعتمدة من قبل "الجمعية
الأمريكية للقهوة" (SCAA) لمشاركة أحدث المعلومات والخبرات العالية
والتقنيات المتطوّرة مع مختصّي القهوة لتمكينهم من إعداد القهوة وتقديمها وفق أعلى
معايير الجودة والحرفية والكفاءة في المجال. وستتمحورهذه الدورات حول مجالات
إعداد وتصنيف وتحميص القهوة، وهي مصمّمة لتناسب كافة المستويات من المبتدئين إلى
المحترفين المتمرسين وذلك تحت إشراف مدربين من ذوي الإختصاص والخبرة العالية المعتمدين
من قبل "الجمعية الأمريكية للقهوة". وعند إستكمال التدريب، سيتسلّم
المشاركون شهادات رسمية ومعترف بها عالمياً.
وسيتضمّن الحدث أيضاً إستضافة
المسابقات المحلية التي تضفي جواً من المنافسة والندية، بما فيها "بطولة الإمارات
الوطنية للباريستا" و"بطولة فن إعداد القهوة بالحليب" اللتين يتم
تنظيمها سنوياً. هذا بالإضافة إلى إطلاق النسخة الإفتتاحية الأولى من نوعها في
الإمارات، من "بطولة الإبريق الوطنية" (National Cezve/Ibrik Championship) للإحتفاء بالثقافة التركية العريقة لفن إعداد القهوة والتي
تعد واحدةً من أقدم الثقافات التقليدية لإعداد القهوة في العالم. وتشكّل هذه
البطولات الثلاث المرخصة من قبل شركة "مهرجانات القهوة
العالمية" (WCE)، منصةً فاعلة للمتخصّصين في مجال صناعة
القهوة لإبراز أفضل مهاراتهم وإمكاناتهم في المجال. وسينال الفائز بالدورة السادسة
من "بطولة الإمارات الوطنية للباريستا" شرف تمثيل دولة الإمارات العربية
المتّحدة في "بطولة العالم للباريستا 2015" في مدينة سياتل في العاصمة
الأمريكية واشنطن للمنافسة على اللقب في مواجهة 56 دولة من مختلف أنحاء
العالم.
وسيشمل المهرجان أيضاً
إطلاق النسخة الأولى من "سباق النجوم" (WCE All Stars) الذي تنظّمه
شركة "مهرجانات القهوة العالمية"، وهو عبارة عن فعالية جديدةٍ
من نوعها تتمثّل بجمع أربعة من أبطال العالم والمتأهلين إلى الجولات النهائية في
كل من "بطولة العالم للباريستا" و"كأس العالم لتحضير القهوة"
و"بطولة العالم لفن إعداد القهوة بالحليب" التي تجمع أفضل المتخصّصين في
مجال صناعة القهوة من 56 دولة مختلفة، للمشاركة في عددٍ من الفعاليات والعروض
المسرحية لرفع مستوى الوعي المحلي حول صناعة القهوة، وذلك ضمن بيئة ودّية وممتعة تتوافق
مع أعلى المعايير العالميّة. وسيتضمّن "سباق النجوم" تقديم المشروبات
المبتكرة والعروض المخصّصة والمقابلات المباشرة والمسابقات التنافسية، بالإضافة
إلى تسليط الضوء على الإنجازات التي حقّقها العارضون، وغيرها من النشاطات الأخرى
ذات الصلة.

ذهبيةً أمام العاملين في قطاع المطاعم والمقاهي والفنادق للتواصل مع نخبة من أهم
الخبراء وأصحاب الإختصاص لإكتساب المزيد من المعرفة. كما توفّر ورشات العمل
المعتمدة من قبل "الجمعية الأمريكية للقهوة" منصةً تعليميةً متكاملةً أثبتت
نجاحاً باهراً خلال السنوات الخمس الأخيرة. وعلاوةً على ذلك، تهدف المسابقات
المحلية إلى إكتشاف المواهب في فن إعداد القهوة والإحتفاء بقدراتهم الكفؤة على
تحقيق أعلى درجات الإلتزام والتفاني ودقة التفاصيل بما يخوّلهم وبقوةٍ للمنافسة
على لقب الصدارة في مجال صناعة القهوة في الدولة."

"مهرجان القهوة والشاي العالمي" يعد الوجهة الوحيدة المتخصّصة بكافة
الجوانب المتعلقة بالقهوة والشاي ومنتجات وخدمات وتجهيزات المقاهي في منطقة الشرق
