McLaren Special Operations confirms limited edition bespoke 650S model

• Bespoke design inspired by the recent MSO Concept with design collaboration with McLaren Automotive Design Director, Frank Stephenson
• Just 50 examples to be available globally, with only five allocated to the Middle East

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has confirmed production plans for a limited run of bespoke examples of the McLaren 650S following the strong reaction to the MSO 650S Coupe Concept shown in China earlier this year. Just 50 examples of the MSO 650S will be available globally, available in either a Coupe or Spider bodystyle.  Five of these will be sold in the Middle East region.

The bespoke McLaren Special Operations division was launched in 2011, and offers a full personalisation service for McLaren owners. The dedicated division grew out of McLaren’s Customer Care programme, which goes back 20 years to the days of the McLaren F1 roadcar, and continues to look after servicing and maintaining cherished F1s for owners, as well as undertaking personalisation work for all McLaren models.

The MSO 650S carries many of the styling cues over from the original concept, and the team at MSO has worked closely with McLaren Automotive Design Director, Frank Stephenson to further enhance the visual appeal. The exterior of the MSO 650S is fitted with a number of carbon fibre styling upgrades with a satin finish, including extended MSO Side Blades giving a subtle and purposeful look. The three-piece rear bumper includes a carbon fibre centre section, and sits above a more aggressive rear diffuser. 

The MSO 650S is available in three paint finishes, specially formulated by the bespoke division of McLaren Automotive, all featuring a heavy metallic content. ‘Papaya Spark’ is the modern twist on the famous McLaren Orange and is joined by ‘Agrigan Black’ and ‘Sarigan Quartz’. ‘Agrigan Black’ is a stylish metallic black with a deep ruby red metallic flake, and featured on the original concept, while ‘Sarigan Quartz’ is a new colour for MSO, being shown for the first time at Goodwood Festival of Speed. It is a vibrant metallic silver with a subtle golden infusion. 

The exterior design is finished with a set of Palladium coloured 10-spoke Super Lightweight alloy wheels, with a unique diamond cut effect to the inside edge of each spoke. These wheels save 4 kg over the standard-fit design, and are held in place by lightweight titanium wheel bolts.

Inside the cabin, the MSO 650S is upholstered with carbon black leather and Alcantara®, while the stylish satin lacquered carbon fibre detailing extends throughout the driver and passenger zones. In contrast, a gloss finish has been applied to the air vents and handling and powertrain switchgear on the Active Dynamics Panel. A signature dedication plaque mounted to the MSO-branded carbon fibre sill panel completes the enhancements.

Each one of the 50 MSO 650S models will be delivered with a Frank Stephenson-signed sketch and a luxury MSO branded, leather holdall. Handcrafted from stealth black carbon fibre leather, the weekend bag is fitted with complementing carbon black handles and stitching, and an Alcantara® lining.

Pricing starts at $355,185 for the MSO 650S Coupé and $402,531 for the MSO 650S Spider, with first deliveries due before the end of the year.

الإمارات العربية المتحدة، دبي،  2014: أعلن مركز عمليات ماكلارين الخاصة "إم إس أو" عن خططه لإنتاج نسخة خاصة ومحدودة من طراز ماكلارين 650 إس، وذلك بعد الردود الإيجابية الكثيرة التي نالها نموذج "إم إس أو 650 إس كوبيه" والذي عرض في الصين في وقت سابق من هذا العام. وسيقدم مركز عمليات ماكلارين الخاصة 50 سيارة فقط من طراز "إم إس أو 650 إس" على المستوى العالمي، على أن تتوفر بتصميمي كوبيه وسبايدر، فيما ستباع خمسة سيارات من هذا الطراز الخاص في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

وكان مركز عمليات ماكلارين الخاصة لإنتاج السيارات حسب الطلب قد تأسس عام 2011، ليوفر خدمة التعديل الشاملة لمالكي سيارات ماكلارين. وقد تطور هذا القسم من برنامج ماكلارين لرعاية الزبائن، والذي يعود بالزمن إلى 20 سنة عندما تم إطلاق سيارة ماكلارين إف 1 المخصصة للطرقات. ويتابع القسم دوره بالاهتمام وتقديم الخدمات وتوفير الصيانة لسيارات إف 1، بالإضافة إلى تنفيذ أعمال التخصيص والتعديل على جميع طرازات ماكلارين.

ويتمتع طراز "إم إس أو 650 إس" بالعديد من مزايا النموذج الأصلي، وقد تعاون فريق عمليات ماكلارين الخاصة مع فرانك ستيفنسن، مدير التصميم في ماكلارين أوتوموتيف، بهدف إضفاء المزيد من اللمسات الجمالية على إطلالة السيارة. وقد تمت زيادة كمية ألياف الكربون المستخدمة في الجزء الخارجي لطراز "إم إس أو 650 إس" مع زيادة الانحناءات الجانبية لتمنحها مظهراً ذكياً ومميزاً. كما أن الصادم الخلفي يتضمن جزءاً مركزياً من ألياف الكربون، ويقع فوق الموزع الخلفي الذي يتمتع بتصميم مميز.

يتوفر نموذج "إم إس أو 650 إس" بثلاثة ألوان تم إعدادها خصيصاً في قسم التصميم حسب الطلب لدى ماكلارين أوتوموتيف، وجميعها تتميز بطابع معدني ظاهر. اللون الأول هو "بابايا سبارك" والذي يعد اشتقاقاً من اللون البرتقالي الذي تتميز به سيارة ماكلارين، والثاني هو"أغريغان بلاك" الأسود المعدني اللامع الممزوج بقشرة ذات لون أحمر ياقوتي لامع، والذي تم تقديمه في النموذج الأصلي، أما الثالث فهو "ساريغان كوارتز"، وهو لون جديد من الفضي المعدني مع لمسة ذهبية وقد أطلقه مركز عمليات ماكلارين الخاصة، وظهر لأول مرة في مهرجان غودوود للسرعة.

ويكتمل التصميم الخارجي بعجلات خفيفة الوزن، تساهم في خفض وزن السيارة بمقدار 4 كغ عن وزن السيارة الأصلية. أما مقصورة القيادة في سيارة "إم إس أو 650 إس" فتتميز بفرش من ألكنتارا ومقاعد جلدية ذات لون أسود كربوني، فيما تنتشر التفاصيل الإضافية المصنوعة من ألياف الكربون والمطلية بالورنيش أمام مقاعد السيارة. وفي المقابل تتمتع فتحات التهوية والقبضات والمفاتيح على اللوحة الديناميكية بلون معدني لامع. وعلى عتبة الباب المصنعة من ألياف الكربون وضعت إشارة تميز طراز "إم إس أو" كإضافة جمالية في السيارة.

وفي تعليق له صرح السيد إيان غورساتش، المدير الإقليمي في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا قائلاً: "نحن سعداء للغاية لحصولنا على خمس سيارات من النسخة الخاصة والمحدودة لسيارة ماكلارين 650 إس في هذه المنطقة. وبكل تأكيد فإننا نشهد طلباً متزايداً على خيارات التصميم حسب الطلب، خاصة مع حضور العديد من السيارات السوبر على الطرقات، لذلك فإن الزبائن يرغبون بتمييز سياراتهم بألوان ومواد وتجهيزات خاصة، وهذا دليل على الموهبة والخبرة اللتين يتمتع بهما مركز عمليات ماكلارين الخاصة لإبداع سيارات فريدة ومتميزة على الطرقات تلفت انتباه الجميع نحوها أينما ذهبت، ومع تخصيص خمس سيارات فقط من هذه النسخة على مستوى المنطقة، فستكون مطلوبة ومرغوبة بشكل كبير".

يبدأ سعر سيارة "إم إس أو 650 إس" من 355,185 دولار أمريكي لطراز كوبيه ومن 403,531 دولار أمريكي لطراز سبايدر على أن يتم تسليم أولى السيارات قبل نهاية العام.
