Swissquote Bank, a leading provider of online financial
services, steps up to address the growing challenge of special needs
children in the UAE by donating 10 computers to Al Noor Training
Centre for Children with Special Needs.
Special needs children are defined as children who
require assistance for disabilities that may be medical, mental, or
psychological. People with autism,
Down syndrome,
dyslexia, blindness, ADHD, or cystic fibrosis, for example, may be
considered to have special needs. Al Noor is a multi-departmental
centre which specializes in therapeutic intervention to aid special
needs children in developing their potential and integrate them into
the wider community.
Representatives of Swissquote Bank headed by its CEO,
Mr. Mario Camara, were warmly welcomed by the training centre through
its Fundraising Manager, Ms. Tushara Abeysuriya. The group was given
a presentation of the centre’s history and milestones. After which
they were guided around the centre to see the facilities, meet
teachers and interact with students and volunteers.
The donation is part of the bank’s corporate social
responsibility (CSR) initiatives to promote development that provides
opportunity for all members of society. The computers are intended to
further develop the students’ skills and abilities through computer
aided learning as well as offer quick access to information through
the internet.
