14 May 2014, Dubai: Held on the last Friday of every month, Simply Retro is Dubai’s newest dance party at Bā Lounge,
Fairmont The Palm - paying tribute to decades gone by, all night long.
Take a time machine; tighten your side pony-tail, dust off the neon
legwarmers and party like it’s 1999 as each party takes you back to a
different decade.
Each month #SimplyRetro will rotate between three thrilling decades: 70s, 80s, and the 90s. The first #SimplyRetro event on 30th May
celebrates the best of the 80’s, with retro décor and nostalgic touches
including disco balls, projections of the era’s best films and giant
Rubik’s Cubes, transforming Bā Lounge to the "I Want My MTV" decade.
Let’s hear it for the girls (and boys) who just want to have fun on a
glittering dance floor as Bā Lounge’s specialist DJ spins
groove-your-heart-out 80’s favourites whilst the bar staff will
entertain with Tom Cruise-style tricks over classic cocktails.
Show off your break-dancing skills or rub shoulder pads with Madonna,
Boy George and The Hoff – all rumoured to be on the guestlist – and have
a no-no-notoriously good time at Bā Restaurant & Lounge. Guests
born in the 80’s receive two complimentary drinks. So wake me up before
you go-go!
