Middle East’s longest-running student recruitment show to offer over 2,500 featured programs from local and international universities

According to recent statistics, the UAE’s education sector currently has a market size of USD 7.3 billion and accounts for approximately 24 per cent of the total federal expenditure, with the government investing in the latest and best educational offerings to students. GETEX, the longest-running student recruitment event in the region, will be held from April 9 to 11, 2014 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre to provide students, and the entire academic community, a greater understanding of regional and global education trends and practices.

Held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, GETEX 2014 will offer visitors access to diverse academic options in courses, programs and education-specific technology spanning across all possible areas of specialisation that a student could be interested in. This 26^th edition of the show will provide a valuable and interactive platform for students to get complete information about internationally-available educational programs and courses, campuses, colleges and universities. This will enable students to opt for the most suitable courses and educational institutions meeting their individual academic and professional goals, desired fee and scholarship structure, and preferred entry schedules and qualifications.

Aside from benefitting students, GETEX will also host the Student Counsellors forum for the education providers in the region. Proving immensely popular at last year’s event, the GETEX Counsellors Forum will convene and address a large group of counsellors, elaborating on various topics surrounding the education landscape and the varying needs of students today.

Another highlight of the show will be the Career Advisory Forum which is a new initiative by the show, intended to introduce GETEX participants to the latest recruitment policy trends and qualification criteria by leading multinational companies. This will provide significant and in-depth information about the employment landscape, hiring guidelines and human resource policies followed in the regional and global job market, in effect, helping students prepare for the job market.

إستعراض أكثر من 2,500 برنامج تعليمي من مختلف الجامعات المحلية والدولية

في ظل مواصلة الإستثمار الحكومي في توظيف أحدث وأفضل العروض التعليمية للإرتقاء بالتجربة التعليمية في الدولة، يُقدَّر حجم قطاع التعليم في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة حالياً بقيمة 7.3 مليار دولار أمريكي ويمثّل نحو 24 بالمائة من إجمالي الإنفاق الحكومي. وفي هذا السياق، تنطلق فعاليات دورة الربيع من معرض الخليج للتعليم والتدريب "جيتكس 2014" في الفترة من 9 إلى 11 أبريل/نيسان المقبل في مركز دبي الدولي للمؤتمرات والمعارض، ليستعرض آخر الإتّجاهات والممارسات، الإقليمية والدولية، في المجال التعليمي. 

 

ويأتي تنظيم هذا الحدث التعليمي الرائد على مستوى منطقة الشرق الأوسط، تحت رعاية وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، ليشكّل فرصةً ممتازةً للزوار من الطلبة والمعنيّين بالمجال الأكاديمي للإطلاع على جميع الخيارات الأكاديمية والدورات والبرامج وتكنولوجيات التعليم ضمن كافة المجالات والتخصّصات التي تهم الطلاب والدارسين. ومن المتوقّع أن يوفّر المعرض في دورته السادسة والعشرين، منصةً تفاعلية للحصول على معلومات شاملة عن البرامج والمقرّرات الأكاديمية والكليات والجامعات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية، بما من شأنه مساعدة الطلبة في تحقيق أهدافهم الأكاديمية والمهنية من خلال إختيار التخصّصات والوجهات الأكاديمية الأنسب لهم، بالإضافة إلى الإطلاع على تكاليف الرسوم والمنح الدراسية ومواعيد التسجيل والمتطلّبات ذات الصلة. 

وسيكون لأعضاء الهيئات التدريسية ومزوّدي الخدمات التعليمية في المنطقة نصيب كبير في المعرض، حيث سيتم عقد "منتدى المستشارين" الذي لاقى إقبالاً هائلاً في الدورة السابقة والذي يجمع نخبةً من المستشارين الأكاديميين للوقوف على عددٍ من المواضيع الرئيسية المعنية بالقطاع التعليمي والإحتياجات المتنامية للطلبة. 

وفي سياق آخر، سيتخلّل المعرض "منتدى الإستشارات المهنية" وهو عبارة عن مبادرة جديدة تهدف إلى تعريف المشاركين في المعرض على أحدث السياسات والإتّجاهات والمعايير المتّبعة للتوظيف لدى كبرى الشركات العالمية ومتعدّدة الجنسيات. وسيسلّط هذا المنتدى الأوّل من نوعه في المعرض، الضوء على أسس التوظيف وسياسات الموارد البشرية ضمن أسواق العمل الإقليمية والعالمية، وذلك في سبيل إعداد الطلبة لدخول سوق العمل. 

وفي معرض تعليقه على الأمر، قال أنسيلم غودينهو، مدير عام شركة "إنترناشيونال كونفرنسز آند إكزيبيشنز" (IC&E)، الجهة المنظّمة للحدث: "سجّلت دولة الإمارات خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية زيادةً لافتةً في الطلب على المدارس والجامعات عالمية المستوى بين أوساط الطلبة المواطنين والأجانب على حد سواء، ممّا أسهم في نمو القطاع التعليمي الخاص ليصبح الأكبر في المنطقة بقيمة 10.2 مليار درهم إماراتي. واليوم، تعد دولة الإمارات واحدةً من أبرز الوجهات الرائدة للمؤسسات التعليمية الأجنبية والمستثمرين للإستفادة من الفرص المتزايدة في ظل إزدهار سوق التعليم بالدولة." 

وأضاف غودينهو: "يواجه الطلبة صعوبةً في إتّخاذ قرارات حاسمة تخصّ مستقبلهم الأكاديمي، وذلك مرده في بعض الأحيان إلى التردّد في إتّخاذ الخطوة الأولى في هذا المضمار. وهنا تبرز أهمية تنظيم فعاليات "جيتكس" الذي يوفّر منصةً متكاملةً لمساعدة الطلبة في إتّخاذ القرارات السليمة من خلال تسليط الضوء على الفرص المتاحة على الساحة التعليمية العالمية. ويهدف المعرض إلى جمع المؤسسات التعليمية من مختلف أنحاء العالم تحت سقفٍ واحدٍ لكي يتمكّن الجمهور المحلي من الاستفادة من فرص التواصل وبالتالي تمكينهم من إتّخاذ الخيارات الأنسب لهم من حيث التخصّصات الأكاديمية والأهداف المهنية. وينطوي قطاع التعليم اليوم أيضاً على إكتساب المهارات والكفاءات اللازمة لضمان العمل في الشركات العالمية. ولهذا السبب تم إضافة "منتدى الإستشارات المهنية" إلى فعاليات المعرض في سبيل إطلاع الطلبة على كيفية إكتساب المهارات المناسبة والإنتقال الفعّال من المرحلة الدراسية إلى سوق العمل."
