Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), the government authority charged with
regulating, coordinating and supervising all aspects of the maritime sector in
Dubai, is geared up to participate at the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS)
2014 which will run from March 4 to 8, 2014 at the Dubai International Marine
Club, Mina Seyahi.
DMCA’s participation follows the remarkable
success it achieved in the previous editions of the show, which is recognized
as one of the world’s leading, largest and most established prestigious marine
& leisure event. This year, DMCA is looking forward to increasing more awareness
on Dubai’s maritime licensing services at its pavilion. The licensing service
is an integrated framework to maintain compliance with the highest standards of
maritime safety and the best international practices to promote the industry’s
regional and global competitiveness and thereby position Dubai as a first-class
international maritime hub.
Through its presence at DIBS 2014, DMCA
aims to keep participants more informed on regulations for secure operations,
environmental requirements and standards of maritime safety and security; all
of which should be provided by public and private marine clubs and marinas in
Dubai. It will also introduce water-sports professionals and enthusiasts to the
required procedures to maintain maritime safety when driving any type of marine
crafts to create a vibrant and secure maritime industry in Dubai.

DIBS 2014, which offers a high-level interactive platform to promote various
communication channels with industry leaders, decision-makers, businessmen and
water-sportsmen. DIBS 2014 also provides us with an opportunity to raise public
awareness about various means of maintaining the highest levels of maritime
safety to prevent human, physical and environmental risks when driving
recreational marine crafts. For our part, we will continue our momentum gained
through previous editions, by focusing on vital issues, including maritime
safety and environmental security in order to support, develop, regulate and
promote Dubai’s maritime industry which is remarkably gaining significance
across the international maritime landscape.”
DMCA’s pavilion at last year’s edition of
the show saw an overwhelming response from trade visitors and water-sportsmen
looking into the latest marine licensing services and maritime safety measures
targeting recreational yachts, boats and marine crafts. DMCA is committed to
launch a series of initiatives aimed at implementing the highest standards of
maritime safety and promoting Dubai’s competitiveness amongst regional and
international maritime industries. In addition, it will also offer key
infrastructures to raise the bar of the local maritime sector, based on a set
of fundamentals and core values of excellence, innovation, cooperation and
marine environment conservation.

أنهت "سلطة مدينة دبي الملاحية"، الجهة الحكومية المسؤولة عن عمليات الإشراف وتنظيم
وإدارة مختلف الجوانب المتعلقة بالقطاع البحري في دبي، كافة الإستعدادات للمشاركة في "معرض
دبي العالمي للقوارب 2014" المقرر انعقاده في الفترة بين 4 و8 آذار/مارس الجاري.
وتأتي مشاركة "سلطة مدينة دبي الملاحية" في
"معرض دبي العالمي للقوارب 2014" استكمالاً للنجاح اللافت الذي حققته
مشاركاتها السابقة التي شكلت إضافة هامة للحدث الرائد الذي يعتبر أحد أعرق المعارض البحرية في العالم. وتعتزم السلطة البحرية خلال الدورة الحالية افتتاح جناح
متخصص لتسليط الضوء على خدمات الترخيص البحري في إمارة دبي والتي توفر إطار عمل متكامل لضمان مطابقة أعلى معايير
السلامة البحرية وأفضل الممارسات الدولية التي من شأنها تعزيز المقوّمات التنافسية
للقطاع البحري عالمياً وإقليمياً وترسيخ مكانة دبي الطليعية كمركز بحري عالمي من
الطراز الأوّل.
وستتمحور مشاركة السلطة البحرية في الحدث الأكثر تميزاً
في عالم القوارب واليخوت الفاخرة
حول نشر الوعي بشروط التشغيل الآمن
والمتطلبات البيئية ومعايير الأمن والسلامة الواجب توافرها لدى الأندية والمراسي البحرية الخاصة والعامة في دبي والتعريف بإجراءات السلامة البحرية الواجب اتباعها من قبل الهواة
ومحترفي الرياضات البحرية عند قيادة الوسائل البحرية على إختلاف أنواعها وذلك بهدف
بناء قطاع بحري متجدد وآمن في دبي.
وقال عامر علي، المدير التنفيذي لـ "سلطة مدينة دبي

للقوارب" الذي يمثل منصة تفاعلية عالية المستوى لتعزيز قنوات التواصل مع

الوعي العام بسبل ضمان أعلى مستويات السلامة البحرية للحد من المخاطر البشرية
والمادية والبيئية عند قيادة الوسائل البحرية الترفيهية. ونلتزم من جانبنا بمواصلة
الزخم الذي حظيت به مشاركاتنا السابقة عبر التركيز على قضايا حيوية رئيسية، وفي
مقدمتها السلامة البحرية والأمن البيئي في سبيل دعم عجلة تطوير وتنظيم وتعزيز
القطاع البحري في إمارة دبي التي تخطو خطوات متقدمة لبناء مكانة ريادية على
الخارطة البحرية العالمية."
ويجدر الذكر بأنّ جناح "سلطة مدينة دبي
الملاحية" خلال الدورة الماضية من "معرض دبي العالمي للقوارب" كان
قد شهد إقبالاً واسعاً من قبل الزوّار التجاريين ومحبي الرياضات المائية للإطّلاع
على أحدث خدمات الترخيص البحري وتدابير السلامة البحرية الموجهة خصيصاً لقطاع
اليخوت والقوارب والوسائل البحرية الترفيهية. وتطلق السلطة البحرية بصورة دورية
سلسلة من المبادرات الرائدة التي تستهدف تطبيق أعلى معايير
السلامة البحرية وتعزيز المزايا التنافسية
لإمارة دبي على الصعيد البحري عالمياً وإقليمياً وتوفير البنى الأساسية للارتقاء
بالقطاع البحري المحلي استناداً إلى مجموعة من المرتكزات والقيم الجوهرية المتعلقة
بالتميز والإبداع والتعاون والحفاظ على البيئة البحرية.
