professional imaging technologies, has announced its entry into the
production display market with the launch of the DP-V3010 – a
30-inch reference display specifically designed for colour grading
and high quality 4K video production.
The
DP-V3010 was showcased for the first time in the Middle East at
CABSAT 2014. Reinforcing Canon’s continued commitment to the
broadcast and cinema industries, the new DP-V3010, together with
Canon’s Cinema EOS System, offers a first-class input-to-output
solution for 4K digital cinema and wider video production workflows.

With a technical specification designed to provide
repeatable, accurate output, the DP-V3010 is optimised for use in
scenarios such as colour grading, where overall image quality and
consistency are of paramount importance. Its ability to natively
display high resolution 4K images and range of colour options means
that the DP-V3010 is also well suited for use on-set or on location,
and for other digital imaging tasks including CGI work, Computer
Aided Design and 3D animation.
Accurate
colour reproduction
The DP-V3010 has
been designed to deliver stunning 4K resolution alongside astounding
accuracy in colour reproduction, even between multiple displays. The
display is powered by a custom-developed image processor designed and
manufactured by Canon. The processor, when combined with an RGB LED
backlight system and IPS LCD panel, provides highly consistent
quality and colour, both on-set during shooting and in
post-production editing suites.
Utilising Canon’s
unrivalled heritage in the development of imaging technologies, the
DP-V3010’s image processor helps to ensure consistent brightness
and colour, for a high level of uniformity across the full screen. A
10-bit panel driver works with the processor to enable the display of
1,024 gradation levels for each RGB colour to deliver exceptionally
smooth and accurate gradation characteristics across all content
types. As a result, the display provides the faithful
colour-reproduction capabilities required for colour grading –
providing an alternative to a dedicated DCI-compliant projector in
post-production.
High
resolution and contrast
The IPS LCD panel
features a resolution of 4,096 x 2,560 pixels, enabling the display
of native DCI 4K resolution (4,096 x 2,160 pixels) without image
scaling. The display is also suited to PC-based editing tasks, such
as high-resolution still-image processing and visual-effects
production work, thanks to a panel aspect ratio of 16:10.
Furthermore, Canon’s image-processing technology, combined with the
high-contrast IPS LCD panel, achieves a contrast ratio of more than
2000:1, the minimum recommended by the Society of Motion Picture and
Television Engineers (SMPTE) for digital cinema post-production
worki.
Ensuring the accurate display of night-time shots and other dark
scenes, the DP-V3010 precisely reproduces gradation in dark areas of
an image - an important consideration in digital cinema production.
The DP-V3010 also
supports a wide angle of view thanks to minimal changes in colour and
contrast across the IPS LCD panel – offering a highly effective
solution in editing rooms or settings where multiple users wish to
check image quality at the same time.

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 11 مارس 2014 – أعلنت كانون الشرق الأوسط، الشركة الرائدة في مجال تقنيات التصوير المحترفة، عن خوضها غمار سوق شاشات الإنتاج مع طرح DP-V3010، وهي شاشة قياس 30 بوصة مصمّمة خصيصاً لتدرّج الألوان وإنتاج الفيديو عالي الجودة بدقّة 4K. وقد جرى عرض شاشة DP-V3010 للمرة الأولى في الشرق الأوسط في معرض "كابسات".
ومع نظام Cinema EOS من كانون، تؤكّد شاشة DP-V3010 الجديدة التزام كانون المتواصل بمجالَي البثّ والسينما، فتقدّم حل متكاملاً من الطراز الأول للعمليات الإنتاج بالكاميرات الرقمية دقّة 4K وإنتاج الفيديو.

ومع مواصفات تقنية مصمّمة لتقديم نتائج دقيقة كلّ مرة، صُمّمت شاشة DP-V3010 لتُستخدم في سيناريوهات مختلفة كتدريج الألوان حين تكون جودة الصورة العامة وتماسكها غايةً في الأهمية. وبفضل القدرة على عرض الصور بدقّة 4K ومجموعة من خيارات الألوان، تعتبر شاشة DP-V3010 مناسبة لمواقع التصوير ولمهام تصوير رقمي أخرى مثل الصور الموّلدة بواسطة الكمبيوتر، والتصميم بمساعدة الكمبيوتر، والصور المتحرّكة ثلاثية الأبعاد.
تصوير الألوان بدقّة
صُمّمت شاشة DP-V3010 لتعطي وضوحاً خلاباً بدقّة 4K مع دقّة مذهلة في عرض الألوان حتّى بين عدّة شاشات. وتستعين الشاشة بمعالج صور مصمّم حسب الطلب من تصميم وصنع كانون. وعند جمعه مع نظام RGB LED للإضاءة الخلفية وشاشة IPS LCD، يقدّم المعالج جودة وألواناً متماسكة جداً، سواء أفي الموقع في أثناء التصوير أم عند التحرير بعد الإنتاج.
واستناداً إلى تاريخ كانون الذي لا يضاهى في تطوير تقنيات التصوير، يضمن معالج الصور في DP-V3010 تناغم السطوع والألوان من أجل درجة عالية من التناسق في كل أنحاء الشاشة. وتعمل سوّاقة الشاشة بسرعة 10 بت مع المعالج لتسمح بعرض 1024 مستوى تدريج لكل لون RGB، مما يحرص على تقديم مواصفات تدريج سلسة ودقيقة استثنائية مهما كان المحتوى المعروض. بالتالي، تعرض الشاشة الألوان بالدقّة اللازمة لتدريج الألوان، وتصبح بذلك بديلاً ممتازاً لأجهزة الإسقاط المتلائمة مع تقنيةDCI في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج.

تتميّز شاشة IPS LCD بوضوح 4096×2560 بكسل، ما يسمح بعرض فيديو بوضوح DCI 4K أصلي (4096×2560 بكسل) من دون تغيير في قياس الصورة. وتناسب الشاشة أيضاً مهام التعديل على الحاسوب، كمعالجة الصور الثابتة عالية الدقة وإنتاج التأثيرات البصرية، بفضل نسبة أبعاد تبلغ 16:10. علاوة على ذلك، تحقّق تكنولوجيا معالجة الصور من كانون، مع شاشة IPS LCD عالية التباين، نسبةَ تباين تفوق 2000:1، وهو الحدّ الأدنى الذي توصي به جمعية مهندسي الأفلام والتلفزيون للعمل بعد الإنتاج السينمائي الرقميi. وتضمن شاشة DP-V3010 عرضاً دقيقاً للصور الليلية ومشاهد داكنة أخرى، فتصوّر التدريج في النواحي الداكنة من الصورة بدقّة، وهذا من الأمور المهمة التي يجب مراعاتها في الإنتاج السينمائي الرقمي.
