Intersec Conference Series to
address vital safety and security issues
Intersec 2014 is set to
break records in terms of space sold with over 1,200 exhibitors participating when
it opens in Dubai on 19th January. The packed schedule of seminars
and workshops being held alongside the exhibition will be the focus of an
increasing number of delegates from the regional security industry.
Held under the patronage of
HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Intersec 2014, the
foremost international trade exhibition
for the safety, security and fire protection industries serving the wider
Middle East, has gained the backing of leading government bodies and law
enforcement agencies.
Aside from their vital
support, which has been one of the enabling factors for Intersec’s growth in
the region, Dubai Police and the UAE Civil Defence have taken the lead role in
heading many awareness programmes to the benefit of the greater community.
“Intersec is more than just
a trade show. It plays a significant role in promoting vital interactions
between the local community, industry stakeholders, law enforcement agencies,
government representatives and leading manufacturers and suppliers,” said Ahmed
Pauwels, CEO of organiser, Epoc Messe Frankfurt.

Amongst the leading
international exhibitors participating in Intersec 2014 are 10 out of 10 of the
world’s top security companies as listed in A&S magazine, namely: Honeywell
Security, Bosch Security Systems, Safran/Morpho, Hikvision, Axis Communications,
Flir Systems, Samsung Techwin, Dahua Technology and Tyco Security.

Dubai Police will be
organising a seminar on Mobile Phone Crime, which is expected to be a highlight
of the Intersec conference series this year. With the burgeoning use of mobile
devices and smartphones across all segments of today’s society, the security of
mobile devices against the increasing incidences of mobile crime is a topic of
vital interest to everyone.
Leading mobile crime experts
from Scotland Yard as well as the Dubai Government will focus on the growing
rate of mobile crime, means of preventing it and strategies to secure devices
against any threats.
Elsewhere in the conference
series, UAE Civil Defence is the patron of the Safety Design in Buildings
Conference, which is part of a GCC-wide initiative to
highlight existing safety standards and practices in the built environment and
ways of enhancing building safety. Industry experts will be offering insights through
presentations and panel discussions for improved protection. Earlier
conferences in the series took place in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Manama, Riyadh,
Jeddah, Kuwait and Muscat.
Also part of the Intersec
Conference Series 2014 is the IOSH Middle East Occupational Health Seminar, the
Techtextil Middle East Symposium and the IWMA Seminar on Fire fighting with
Water Mist.
Interactive forums
such as these are an integral part of Intersec’s contribution to the overall
development of the regional safety and security environment, as they play a
significant role in enhancing local safety standards and improving the overall
safety culture of a community.
Intersec 2014, which runs
from January 19 to 21 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition
Centre, will comprise of four main focus areas: Commercial Security & Information
Security; Safety & Health; Fire & Rescue and Homeland Security &
Policing.
The Commercial & Information Security
section includes control & surveillance equipment, access control,
monitoring & recording systems, and information security. The Fire &
Rescue section covers products and services within fire prevention &
protection, firefighting equipment, emergency alarm & warning systems and
rescue equipment.
Safety & Health includes Personal
Protection Equipment (PPE), environmental protection at work, safety at work
equipment and health at work. Homeland Security & Policing focuses on
armour protection, perimeter security, forensic science and laboratory
equipment, physical security, detection and disposal equipment, optics,
electronics, as well as specialised training and consulting for government
entities.
With eleven events,
Messe Frankfurt is one of the world’s leading organisers of fairs and
congresses for the expanding international field of safety and security

يستعد معرض إنترسك 2014
للأمن والسلامة لتحطيم الأرقام القياسية من ناحيتي المساحة وعدد العارضين المشاركة
حيث من المقرر افتتاح المعرض في 19 يناير القادم. وسيكون البرنامج المكتظ من
الندوات وورش العمل التي تقام على هامش المعرض محط اهتمام العديد من وفود الصناعة
الإقليميين.
يقام إنترسك 2014 تحت
رعاية سمو الشيخ منصور بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم وهو المعرض التجاري الدولي الأهم
لصناعة الأمن والسلامة والوقاية من الحرائق والذي يخدم منطقة الشرق الأوسط ويحظى
بدعم السلطات الحكومية الرائدة ووكالات تمكين القانون.
وإلى جانب ما يقدمانه من
دعم حيوي كان من بين عوامل عدة ساعدت في نمو إنترسك في المنطقة، بادرت كل من شرطة
دبي وأكاديمية شرطة دبي بتوجيه العديد من برامج التوعية لصالح المجتمع الأكبر.
وأوضح أحمد باولس الرئيس
التنفيذي في إيبوك ميسي فرانكفورت، الشركة المنظمة للمعرض، قائلا: "إنترسك

الدوليين المشاركين في إنترسك 2014 أكبر 10 شركات أمن في العالم حسب مجلة A&S وهي هانيويل سكيوريتي، بوش
سكيوريتي سيستمز، سفران/مورفو، هيكفيجن، أكسيس كوكيونيكيشنز، فلير سيستمز، سامسونج
تكوين، دهاو تكنولوجي وتايكو سكيوريتي.
وقال
هكان أوزيجت، المدير الإقليمي في بوش سكيوريتي سيستمز الشرق الأوسط: "لقد

تنظم
شرطة دبي ندوة عن جرائم الهاتف النقال والتي يتوقع أن تكون من أبرز فعاليات برنامج
فعاليات إنترسك هذا العام. وفي ضوء نمو استخدام الأجهزة والهواتف الذكية النقالة
على مستوى كل قطاعات المجتمع اليوم بات تأمين الأجهزة النقالة ضد الحوادث
المتزايدة للجرائم النقالة من الموضوعات الهامة للجميع.
يركز
أبرز خبراء الجرائم النقالة من سكوتلاند يارد وحكومة دبي على ارتفاع معدل الجريمة
النقالة ووسائل منعها واستراتيجيات تأمين الأجهزة ضد أي تهديدات.
وضمن
برنامج المؤتمرات يعد الدفاع المدني الإماراتي الراعي لمؤتمر السلامة في تصميم
المباني الذي يعد جزءا من مبادرة على مستوى دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي لإبراز
معايير وممارسات السلامة الحالية في مكان البناء ووسائل تعزيز السلامة في المباني.
ويقدم خبراء الصناعة رؤاهم من خلال عروض توضيحية وحلقات نقاشية لتحسين الوقاية.
وقد تم عقد مؤتمرات سابقة ضمن هذه السلسلة في كل من دبي وأبو ظبي والدوحة والمنامة
والرياض وجده ومسقط.
وضمن
برنامج المؤتمرات تعقد ندوة مؤسسة الصحة والسلامة المهنية IOSH الشرق الأوسط، ومؤتمر تيكتكستل الشرق الأوسط وندوة IWMA عن مكافحة الحرائق برذاذ الماء. تمثل مثل هذه المنتديات التفاعلية
جزءا لا يتجزأ من مساهمة إنترسك في التطور الشامل لبيئة الأمن والسلامة الإقليمية
حيث أنها تلعب دورا هاما في تعزيز معايير السلامة المحلية وتحسين الثقافة العامة
لسلامة المجتمع.
يقام
إنترسك 2014 خلال الفترة من 19 – 21 يناير في مركز دبي الدولي للمؤتمرات والمعارض
وينقسم إلى أربعة أقسام رئيسية هي: الأمن التجاري وأمن المعلومات، الصحة والسلامة،
الحرائق والإنقاذ، والأمن الوطني والشرطة.
يشمل
قسم الأمن الوطني وأمن المعلومات معدات التحكم والمراقبة، مراقبة الدخول، أنظمة
المراقبة والتسجيل، وأمن المعلومات. أما قسم الحرائق والإنقاذ فيغطي المنتجات
والخدمات الخاصة بمنع الحرائق والوقاية منها، معدات مكافحة الحرائق، نظم التحذير
والتنبيه بالطوارئ، ومعدات الإنقاذ.
ويغطي
قسم الصحة والسلامة معدات الحماية الشخصية (PPE)، الحماية البيئية في العمل،
السلامة في العمل والصحة في العمل. وأخيرا يركز قسم الأمن الوطني والشرطة على
حماية المدرعات، أمن النطاقات، علم الطب الشرعي ومعدات المختبرات، الأمن المادي،
معدات التحري والتخلص، البصريات، الالكترونيات إلى جانب خدمات التدريب والاستشارات
المتخصصة للشركات الحكومية.
