‘Autodesk University (AU) Extension
Dubai 2013,’ the Middle East region’s preeminent event for design and
engineering professionals, concluded successfully at the Sheikh Maktoum Hall of
the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The event, which was organized by Omnix International,
the authorized distributor for Autodesk products in the Middle East, posted a key
attendance of design and engineering professionals from Middle East’s
Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and Media & Entertainment
industries.
A key highlight of ‘Autodesk University
(AU) Extension Dubai 2013’ was the showcase of Autodesk 360, by Autodesk, which
is the company's cloud-based platform and the industry’s first project centric,
cloud collaboration solution that is centered around design and engineering
workflows. The exciting day-long program was sponsored by leading brands that
included HP (Platinum Sponsor), Intel (Platinum Sponsor), Canon (Gold Sponsor),
Stratasys (Silver Sponsor), Jacky’s (Silver Sponsor), Dell (Silver Sponsor) and
The Chaos Group Vray (Associate Sponsor).
‘Autodesk University (AU) Extension
Dubai 2013,’ is part of the Autodesk University Program, an annual series
of Autodesk in-person and virtual user conferences that has already enjoyed a
decade of success in the US. Speakers at the event provided participants with a
look at some of Autodesk's latest offerings and taught them the latest
productivity tricks and tools used by professionals today. Autodesk also
awarded free certifications on various Autodesk design programs. Special focus
was also given on the promoting the use of the latest version of Autodesk 360,
the only one of its kind cloud based service that has been made specifically
for design and engineering collaboration. In fact, the Autodesk 360 platform is
project centric, and incorporates search, viewing, editing, social
collaboration, integrates multiple tools & services and can host any type
of file data or format.
“We are very pleased with the
overwhelming response that we have received for ‘Autodesk University Extension
Dubai 2013.’ The large number of attendees and the huge interest generated from
the event has prompted us to start planning for next year’s edition of the
extension program,” said Dr. Jayant Deshpande, Director-CAD

This year's program featured talks and
presentations from Pat Williams, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific &
Emerging Markets for Autodesk; Simon Gillis, Technical Sales Manager, Autodesk;
and Nick Manning, EMEA Industry Marketing Manager, Autodesk Media &
Entertainment. The event also included multi-level main stage lectures and
small break out sessions, touching on key topics like how to implement and
handle BIM in large projects from Miss Elizabeth Peters, AECOM; Energy Analysis
and Integration for existing buildings by Charles Blaschke from Taka Solutions
and Overcoming BIM Confusion by Pavithran KV of Brookfield Multiplex to name a
few.

اختتم بنجاح مؤتمر "أوتوديسك الجامعة 2013 بدبي" (Autodesk University Extension Dubai 2013)،
الذي يعد أبرز حدث على مستوى منطقة الشرق الأوسط لمختصي التصميم والهندسة، في قاعة
الشيخ مكتوم في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي. وسجل الحدث، والذي نظمته "أومنيكس إنترناشيونال" (Omnix International)، الموزع المعتمد لمنتجات "أوتوديسك" في
الشرق الأوسط، حضور متخصصين وخبراء بارزين في مجال التصميم والهندسة المعمارية،
والهندسة والإنشاءات، والإعلام والصناعات الترفيهية في الشرق الأوسط.
وأبرز ما تم عرضه خلال المؤتمر، هو الحل "أوتوديسك 360" (Autodesk 360)، الذي تطوره
"أوتوديسك"، وهو عبارة عن منصة قائمة على التقنية السحابية، ويعتبر أول
حل موجه للمشاريع المخصصة لأعمال التصميم والهندسة. وشاركت في رعاية الحدث، الذي

ميديا آند انترتينمنت". كما اشتمل الحدث على محاضرات رئيسية متعددة المستويات
فضلاً عن ندوات قصيرة تطرقت إلى مواضيع هامة مثل كيفية تطبيق وإدارة مع نمذجة
معلومات المباني (BIM) في المشاريع الكبيرة، بإشراف
إليزابيث بيترز من شركة "إيكوم" (AECOM)؛
وندوة حول تحليل الطاقة والتكامل في المباني القائمة، بإشراف تشارلز بلاشك من
"تاكا سوليوشنز" (Taka
Solutions)؛ وندوة أخرى بعنوان التغلب على الإلتباس المحيط بنمذجة معلومات
المباني، بإشراف بافيثران كي. في. من "بروكفيلد ملتبليكس" (Brookfield Multiplex)، بالإضافة إلى ندوات أخرى.
وقال لؤي دهماش، مدير "أوتوديسك" في الشرق الأوسط، إن
منطقة الشرق الأوسط التي تشهد تدفقا كبيرا من مشاريع البناء، فمن المؤكد أن
هناك حاجة لبذل المزيد من الجهد لتحقيق
