Leading icon in Middle East IT industry to consolidate company’s position as region’s leading systems integrator and ICT services provider

Smartworld, a leading master systems integrator and next generation ICT service provider in the Middle East, has named Mohamed Fouz as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective August 01, 2013.
The appointment of Fouz, who is recognized as a leading icon in the Middle East’s IT industry, is expected to further consolidate Smartworld’s efforts to position itself as the region’s premier systems integrator and ICT service provider.
Fouz has had a distinguished career spanning over three decades of international and multi-regional experience and association in IT and business. With key skills and experience across various facets of the IT Industry, Fouz is a strong leader with a passion for technology and thorough understanding of the business. His track record of strategic leadership, planning and implementation along with his focused approach to problem solving has earned him the respect of employees and partners. He also understands the value of a network and the importance of creating lifelong consumer relationships.
Prior to Smartworld, the positions he has held include being Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Mashreq Bank, a leading financial institution in the UAE, Chief Executive officer of Mindscape an IT spinoff of Mashreqbank IT and also as CEO for eHosting DataFort (eHDF), the region's managed IT service provider and a member of TECOM Investments.
As CEO of eHDF, Fouz helped enhance the business with the creation of a governance model to manage the consolidation of services, which resulted in three ISO certifications – ISO9001, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001, all within one year.
In recognition of the innovations he has introduced in the banking sector, Fouz was named as one of the top 10 IT executives in the region. He was also awarded the ACN Service Provider Award for the Middle East Region for eHDF in 2008.

عينت "سمارت ورلد" (Smartworld)، إحدى الشركات الرائدة في مجال الانظمة المتكاملة وتوفير الجيل الجديد من خدمات تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات في الشرق الأوسط، محمد فوز رئيساً تنفيذياً جديداً لها اعتباراً من 1 أغسطس/آب 2013.
ومن المتوقع أن تسهم عملية تعيين فوز، الذي يعد أحد الشخصيات البارزة في مجال تقنية المعلومات في الشرق الأوسط، في دعم جهود "سمارت ورلد" الرامية إلى تعزيز مكانتها كشركة رائدة على مستوى المنطقة في مجال الانظمة المتكاملة وتوفير خدمات تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات.
ويملك فوز سيرة مهنية حافلة تمتد لثلاثة عقود من الخبرة الإقليمية والدولية والعمل في قطاع تقنية المعلومات. وبفضل مهاراته وخبراته في مختلف جوانب قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات، يعد فوز شخصية قيادية بارزة مولع بالتكنولوجيا ويمتلك فهماً عميقاً لمجال عمله. وأكسبه سجله الحافل في القيادة الاستراتيجية والتخطيط والتنفيذ إلى جانب نهجه في حل المعضلات، مما أكسبه احترام الموظفين والشركاء على حد السواء. كما يدرك فوز قيمة التواصل وأهمية خلق علاقات طويلة الأمد مع العملاء.
وقبل انضمامه إلى "سمارت ورلد"، تولى فوز مناصب عدة شملت مدير المعلومات في بنك المشرق، إحدى المؤسسات المالية الرائدة في دولة الإمارات، ومنصب المدير التنفيذي لدى شركة "مايند سكيب" (Mindscape) المنبثقة عن قسم تقنية المعلومات في بنك المشرق، كما تولى فوز منصب المدير التنفيذي لشركة "إي هوستنغ داتا فورت" (eHosting DataFort)، مزود خدمات تقنية المعلومات المدارة في المنطقة والعضو في شركة "تيكوم للاستثمارات".
وأثناء عمله كمدير تنفيذي لدى "إي هوستنغ داتا فورت" (eHDF)، ساهم فوز في تحسين مستوى أعمال الشركة من خلال وضعه نموذجاً للحوكمة لإدارة عملية توحيد الخدمات، مما أسفر عن حصول الشركة على ثلاثة شهادات للجودة هي؛ "آيزو 9001" (ISO9001) و"آيزو 20000" (ISO 2000) و"آيزو 27001" (ISO27001) في غضون سنة واحدة.
وتقديراً لابداعاته التي قدمها في القطاع المصرفي، تم تصنيف فوز كواحد من بين أفضل 10 مدراء تنفيذيين لتقنية المعلومات في المنطقة. كما تم منحه جائزة "إيه. سي. أن. سيرفيس بروفايدر" (ACN Service Provider) لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط خلال عمله في شركة "أي هوستنغ داتا فورت" في العام 2008.
