Hotel accommodation prices become more attractive while 7,500 persons apply to work this Hajj

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj recently announced that it will be increasing the space allocated for housing of pilgrims in Mina and Arafat during this year’s Hajj season, by a reasonable percentage of not more than 25 per cent compared to past years. This step follows the recent decision to reduce the number of pilgrims from each country by 20 per cent until the completion of the Mataf expansion project and other similar projects.
The Ministry further revealed that it received 7,500 online job applications for work during this year’s Hajj season and is willing to appoint a total of 500 employees by mid of this month. Given the recent industry developments, Elaf Group has launched a special bouquet of offerings and services for pilgrims this season, as part of its plans to promote the Hajj services industry. The offerings include price discounts on early booking in one of Elaf’s 11 hotels in Makkah Al Mukrama and Madina al-Munawara.

Bin Mahfouz further added that the Group has spared no efforts to promote this year’s Hajj season through the launch of exciting offerings to pilgrims, in line with government directives and the objectives of the Ministry of Hajj and other relevant entities.
For its part, Government bodies have laid down a well-defined scheme to shuttle pilgrims from their accommodations to Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro, while maintaining strict controls on operations and traffic to avoid congestion, which was the case in previous years. A specialized workshop was also launched in cooperation with relevant government entities and bodies to discuss transportation of pilgrims through Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro.

عزمت وزارة الحج على زيادة المساحات المخصّصة لسكن الحجاج في كل من مخيمات مشعري عرفات ومنى خلال موسم الحج هذا العام، وذلك بنسبة معقولة لا تزيد على 25 بالمائة عن ما كان مخصصاً من مساحة لكل حاج. وتأتي هذه الزيادة نظير القرار الأخير بخفض أعداد الحجاج من كل دولة بنسبة 20 بالمائة طيلة مدة تنفيذ مشروعات توسعة المطاف وغيرها من المشروعات التوسعية الكبرى.
كما كشفت الوزارة عن إستقبالها 7500 طلب توظيف عبر موقعها الإلكتروني للعمل في موسم الحج العام الحالي، وأنّها بصدد إختيار 500 موظف من بين المتقدمين خلال منتصف الشهر الجاري. وبالنظر إلى هذه التطورات الحاصلة في القطاع، وفي خطوةٍ منها إلى المساهمة بإنجاح هذا الموسم، دأبت "مجموعة إيلاف" إلى إطلاق باقات مدروسة للحجاج، بما في ذلك تقديم الحسومات على أسعار الحجوزات المبكرة عبر فنادقها الإحدى عشر في كل من مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة.
وفي معرض تعليقه على الأمر، أثنى زياد بن محفوظ، رئيس "مجموعة إيلاف" على الدور الكبير الذي تلعبه "مجموعة إيلاف" ونظيراتها من شركات الحج والعمرة الأخرى في الإرتقاء بمستوى الخدمات المقدّمة للمعتمرين والحجاج، مشيراً إلى أهمية أعمال المتابعة المستمرة لأداء تلك الشركات من قبل الوزارة. وأضاف: "أسهم هذا التعاون المثمر مع الجهات الحكومية المحلية في خروج موسم العمرة بهذا النجاح الكبير، وإننا نتطلع قدماً إلى أن يحقق موسم الحج نجاحاً مماثلاً انشالله."
وأوضح بن محفوظ أن المجموعة لم تتوانى في بذل الجهود الرامية إلى إنجاح موسم الحج هذا العام، وذلك من خلال تقديم العروض والباقات المميزة للحجاج بما يتماشى مع التوجيهات السديدة للحكومة نحو تحقيق أهداف وزارة الحج وغيرها من الجهات المختصة.
ومن جهتها، وضعت الجهات الحكومية خططاً محكمة بشأن تفويج الحجاج من المخيمات إلى محطات قطار "المشاعر المقدّسة" وتشديد الرقابة على أداء الأعمال وإنسيابية الحركة المرورية لتلافي التكدس كما حصل في مواسم الحج في السنوات الماضية. وتم في هذا السياق إطلاق ورشة عمل خاصة بالتعاون مع الجهات والأجهزة الحكومية ذات الصلة لمناقشة قضايا الإركاب وتفويج الحجاج بمحطات قطار "المشاعر المقدّسة".
