(Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 3rd July 2013)
McLaren Automotive and Al Habtoor Motors, McLaren retail partner for
Dubai and Abu Dhabi, have launched the McLaren Qualified program in the
UAE, making the 12C and 12C Spider available for the first time in the
country under the approved pre-owned scheme.
The
launch of the Qualified program in the UAE makes entry to the McLaren
ownership experience more accessible, and in a Middle East first every
model will be upgraded to 2013 model year specification which includes
the latest power upgrade to 625 PS free of charge.
McLaren
Qualified cars are available through Al Habtoor Motors’ McLaren retail
locations in Dubai at The Lofts, Downtown Dubai, and in Abu Dhabi, on
Sheikh Zayed 1st Street in Khalidiya. The scheme will be available from
all McLaren Automotive retailers in the Middle East by the end of 2013.
Commenting
on the launch of McLaren Qualified, the new McLaren Automotive Regional
Director, Middle East & Africa, Ian Gorsuch said: “The launch
of McLaren Qualified in the UAE is a major milestone for McLaren
Automotive in the Middle East and Africa, it will give the public
greater access to McLaren 12C and 12C Spider ownership. The 12C has been
incredibly popular since it was launched in 2011 and is the current
Middle East Motor Awards ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Best Super Car’.”
Gorsuch continued
“Management and tight control of pre-owned vehicles is key to
maintaining the exclusivity, customer experience and high residual
values of each McLaren. This is something that is important to us and,
more crucially, our customers. McLaren Qualified gives buyers the
confidence that every pre-owned 12C or 12C Spider sold through the
program has gone through every check possible and is being sold to
McLaren standards.”
With
the strong demand from McLaren customers in the UAE for high levels of
standard optional equipment and personalisation on new cars, carried out
by the companies division responsible for bespoke requests - McLaren
Special Operations, the McLaren Qualified scheme will see many of these
unique super cars available again to purchase.
McLaren
Qualified customers will also have the opportunity to personalise their
12C or 12C Spider with a number of McLaren Special Operations options
that can be fitted by the McLaren retailer including the Airbrake, front
bumper insert, engine cover vents and rear deck in carbon fibre and a
range of diamond cut or body-coloured alloy wheels.

has subsequently limited the supply of McLaren Qualified pre-owned cars

to detail is key with everything at McLaren. Even during the build
phase, at each stage along the production line, every 12C and 12C Spider
is subjected to rigorous tests and validation checks to ensure that
everything is how it should be. Buying a Qualified 12C or 12C Spider
will offer peace of mind knowing that, on returning to McLaren, this
same attention to detail is carried through to the McLaren Qualified
programme.
McLaren
technicians undertake a comprehensive bumper-to-bumper qualification
check. This means that each new owner can be secure in the knowledge
that their McLaren has been fully qualified and updated to the latest
specification, so it is as good, if not better, than when it first left
the McLaren Production Centre and each McLaren Qualified model is sold
with at least two years warranty.
