New Healthcare Deal for Leading Private Equity Firm in the Middle East
Newly Acquired Operation will be Merged with Techno Group, the largest Chain of Diagnostic Imaging Centers in the Middle East
(Abu Dhabi- April 10, 2013) – Gulf Capital, one of the leading and most active alternative investment firms in the Middle East based in Abu Dhabi, announced today that its wholly-owned portfolio company, Techno Group Investment Holdings (Techno Group-"TGIH"), acquired a 75% strategic stake in Dogu Tip, a major player in outsourced diagnostic imaging (DI) services in Turkey. This acquisition is the Firm’s first entry into the Turkish healthcare market through its Private Equity division and reflects its strategy of expanding its investment programme in the fast-growing healthcare sector. Dogu Tip provides diagnostic imaging solutions to public and private hospitals and clinics in Turkey on an outsourced, turnkey basis.
Techno Group already owns controlling stakes in diagnostic imaging companies and operates 34 diagnostic imaging centres in Egypt, Jordan and the Arabian Gulf region. With this new acquisition, the number of Techno Group centres will reach 39, and there are plans on expanding further through acquisitions, organic growth and geographic expansion.
Turkey is a major healthcare market that has undergone very rapid transformation and modernisation aimed at reaching the levels of developed world healthcare standards, with year-on-year growth of 10.5%, higher than the 9.5% annual growth in domestic nominal GDP (9.4% per year between 2004 and 2009). The country is also a major medical tourism hub for patients from the Middle East region and Europe.

Turkey has embarked on a highly ambitious plan to outsource many of its medical services and to build mega healthcare projects based on Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) business model. The country has a strong PPP programme in the healthcare sector, a sector which is expected to rise to around US$ 65 billion in 2014 on the back of increasing the quality and efficiency of the healthcare system, growing health awareness, enhancing access to healthcare facilities, and steady rise in life expectancy, amongst other factors.

الشركة ستُدمج مع "تكنو جروب"، أكبر سلسلة من مراكز التصوير والتشخيص بالأشعة في الشرق الأوسط
(أبوظبي – 10 إبريل، 2013) - أعلنت "جلف كابيتال"، وهي إحدى أكبر وأنشط الشركات العاملة في مجال الملكية الخاصة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط ومقرها أبوظبي، اليوم أن "تكنو جروب إنفستمنت هولدنغز" (تكنو جروب – "TGIH")، وهي الشركة المملوكة لها بالكامل، قد استحوذت على حصة قدرها 75% من شركة "دوجو تيب" Dogu Tip، وهي من أكبر شركات توفير خدمات التشخيص بالأشعة في تركيا. ومن خلال صفقة الاستحواذ هذه، تكون "جلف كابيتال" قد دخلت إلى سوق الرعاية الصحية التركي من خلال نشاط الملكية الخاصة التابع لها. وتعكس الصفقة استراتيجية "جلف كابيتال" الرامية لتوسعة برنامجها الاستثماري في قطاع الرعاية الصحية السريع النمو. هذا وتقدم "دوجو تيب" حلولاً وخدمات متكاملة للتشخيص والتصوير بالأشعة إلى المستشفيات والعيادات الحكومية والخاصة في تركيا على أساس التعاقد الخارجي.
تمتلك "تكنو جروب" حالياً حصصاً غالبة في شركات للتشخيص والتصوير الطبي وهي تُشغّل 34 مركزاً للتشخيص بالأشعة في كل من مصر والأردن ومنطقة الخليج العربي. ومع صفقة التملّك الجديدة هذه، سيرتفع عدد المراكز التابعة لـ "تكنو جروب" إلى 39 مركزاً وهناك أيضاً خططاً للمزيد من التوسع عبر صفقات التملك والنمو الطبيعي والتوسع على الصعيد الجغرافي.
تعتبر تركيا سوقاً هاماً للرعاية الصحية. فقد شهد تغيّرات وتحديثات سريعة جداً بغرض أن يصل إلى مستوى معايير الرعاية الصحية المتبعة في العالم المتقدم. وقد سجل هذا السوق نمواً من عام إلى آخر وصل معدله إلى 10.5% وهو معدل يفوق معدل الـنمو السنوي في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي والبالغ 9.5% (9.4% سنوياً بين عامي 2004 و2009). كما وتعد البلاد مركزاً محورياً هاماً للسياحة الطبية بالنسبة للمرضى من منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا.

شرعت تركيا في تطبيق خطة بطموحة لتوفير خدماتها الصحية من جهات خارجية ولإنشاء مشاريع عملاقة في مجال الرعاية الصحية استناداً إلى نموذج أعمال يعتمد الشراكات بين القطاعين الحكومي والخاص. ولدى تركيا برنامجاً قوياً من الشراكات بين القطاعين الحكومي والخاص في قطاع الرعاية الصحية، وهو قطاع يتوقع له أن يرتفع إلى 65 مليار دولار أميركي في عام 2014 مدفوعاً بتحسين جودة وكفاءة نظام الرعاية الصحية وازدياد الوعي الصحي وتحسين سهولة الوصول إلى منشآت الرعاية الصحية والارتفاع الثابت في عمر الفرد المتوقع إضافة إلى عوامل أخرى.
