Today, we’re releasing an update for Google Maps for iPhone with search icons that make finding local places faster and easier and with integration of your Google Contacts to make it simple to find and contact you friends. Today’s update is all part of our team’s commitment to making Google Maps comprehensive, accurate and useful, wherever you may be in the world.
The English version of the app is now available in seven new countries including Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. We’ve also added the ability to choose between kilometers and miles in the setting menu, depending on your preferences.
New category icons (restaurant, coffee, gas, etc.) enable you to see instant search results for places by category – without having to type a search into the search box. So if you’re in Cairo, Jeddah or Dubai, fire up Google Maps on your iPhone, tap the coffee cup icon, and you’ll see some nearby places to grab a cup of joe.
Your Google Contacts are now integrated with Google Maps for iPhone -- meaning when you’re signed-in and search for a contact’s name, their address will appear as a suggestion (if you have their address saved). يسعدنا أن نطرح اليوم تحديثًا لخرائط Google على أجهزة iPhone وذلك من خلال رموز بحث تسهل عليك العثور على الأماكن المحلية بسرعة بالإضافة إلى التكامل مع جهات اتصال Google حتى يصبح من السهل عليك العثور على أصدقائك والاتصال بهم. ويأتي تحديث اليوم في إطار التزام فريقنا بتوفير عناصر الشمولية والدقة والفعالية في خرائط Google أينما حللت حول العالم.
يتوفر الآن إصدار اللغة الإنجليزية من التطبيق في سبعة بلدان جديدة من بينها البحرين ومصر ولبنان وعُمان وقطر والمملكة العربية السعودية والإمارات العربية المتحدة. كما أضفنا إمكانية الاختيار بين الكيلومترات والأميال في قائمة الإعداد، بناءً على تفضيلاتك.
تتيح لك رموز الفئات الجديدة (مطاعم ومقاهي ومحطات بنزين وما إلى ذلك) الاطلاع على نتائج البحث الفوري للأماكن بحسب الفئة، وبدون أن تضطر إلى كتابة عبارة بحث في مربع البحث. ولذلك، إذا كنت في القاهرة أو جدة أو دبي، فيمكنك تشغيل خرائط Google على جهاز iPhone والنقر على رمز فنجان القهوة لتظهر لك بعض الأماكن المجاورة التي يمكنك الاستمتاع فيها بفنجان قهوة.
