Shri Faiz Ahmad Kidwai, Consul General of India in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Ziyad Bin Mahfouz, President of Elaf Group, recently inaugurated the Indian Food Festival at the Elaf Jeddah Hotel at the Red Sea Mall. The event was held in cooperation with the Indian Consulate and in the presence of Mr. Fayez Al Abideen, member of the Board of Directors of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and advisor to the Royal Family.
“This is the second year in succession that we are organizing this festival, underlining the significance of the Indian market in terms of tourism potential and the growing popularity of Indian cuisine in Saudi Arabia. For this festival, we have specifically brought in chefs from India in collaboration with the Indian Consulate General to ensure that flavors from across India are presented here, which will also greatly satisfy our customers,” commented Bin Mahfouz.
Through this Festival, local residents and guests at Elaf Jeddah Hotel- Red Sea Mall will get a rare opportunity to enjoy the original culinary skills and the flavors of exotic spices, which make the Indian cuisine truly an international delight.
The Indian cuisine is a mirror of India’s culture, which dates back 5,000 years. Indian representatives have brought a sample of the rich heritage from the coastal areas and the mountainous terrains for its friends in Jeddah to taste the exotic dishes and flavors of the country.
The Indian Food Festival will present 12 main courses, three different deserts and will introduce one main course from a different region every day. The chefs will be serving one dish per region to cover all the diverse and unique recipes from across the beautiful nation.
القنصل العام الهندي وبن محفوظ يفتتحان "مهرجان المأكولات الهندية" في جدة

إفتتح سعادة فايز أحمد كيدواي، القنصل العام الهندي في جدة، والأستاذ زياد بن محفوظ، رئيس مجموعة شركات "إيلاف"، فعاليات "مهرجان المأكولات الهندية" الذي يتم تنظيمه بالتعاون مع القنصلية الهندية في فندق "إيلاف جدة" في "رد سي مول". وحضر حفل الافتتاح مجموعة من كبار الشخصيات بمن فيهم السيد فايز العابدين، عضو مجلس إدارة الغرفة التجارية الصناعية في جدة.
وتعليقاً على افتتاح "مهرجان المأكولات الهندية"، قال زياد بن محفوظ: "يأتي تنظيم هذا المهرجان للعام الثاني على التوالي ليؤكد مجدداً على أهمية السوق الهندي في توفير الإمكانات السياحية من جهة والإقبال المتزايد على المطبخ الهندي في المملكة العربية السعودية من جهة أخرى. وحرصنا في دورة هذه العام، وبالتعاون مع القنصلية العامة الهندية، على إستضافة عدد من الطهاة القادمين من الهند من أجل ضمان الحصول على أشهى المأكولات المعروفة في مختلف أنحاء الهند وبما يرضي جميع الأذواق."
ويوفر هذا المهرجان فرصةً ذهبيةً لزوار فندق "إيلاف جدة - رد سي مول" للتعرّف على المأكولات والنكهات الهندية الأصيلة والغنية بالبهارات الفريدة من نوعها والتي تجعل المطبخ الهندي مطبخاً عالمياً بإمتياز.
ويعتبر المطبخ الهندي مرآة تعكس ثقافة الهند التي يعود تاريخها إلى 5000 سنة. ويستعرض المهرجان مقتطفات من التراث الهندي الغني الممتد ما بين المناطق الساحلية والجبلية ليتيح المجال أمام زواره من السياح والمواطنين والمقيمين في جدة للتمتع بالنكهات الهندية المميزة وتذوق الأطباق الشهية.
ويتخلل المهرجان تقديم 12 طبق رئيسي و3 وجبات من الحلوى الهندية المختلفة، مع عرض طبق رئيسي واحد من إحدى مناطق الهند المختلفة يومياً. وسوف يقدم الطهاة طبق واحد من كل منطقة من مناطق الهند لتغطية جميع الوصفات الهندية المتنوعة والفريدة من نوعها من جميع أنحاء البلاد.
