Company to showcase Terradyne's Gurkha tactical vehicles that successfully participated in 2012 UAE Land Forces Summer Field Trials

Bristol Vehicles Manufacturing Division (Bristol VMD), a subsidiary of the Concorde – Corodex Group and M.H. Al Mana Group of Companies (CCG), has revealed its upcoming participation at this year’s edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), the only international defence exhibition and conference in the MENA region demonstrating the latest technology across land, sea and air sectors of defence, which will be held from February 17 to 21, 2013 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). During the event, Bristol VMD will throw the spotlight on the Gurkha Light Armored Patrol Vehicle (LAPV) and the Gurkha Rapid Patrol Vehicle (RPV), two of the latest tactical vehicle models from its Canadian-based partner, Terradyne Armored Vehicles Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Magna International. The Gurkha LAPV successfully posted excellent performance ratings during its participation at last year’s UAE Land Forces Summer Field Trials. The Terradyne stand will be located at IDEX Stand Number CP-410 - exterior - opposite door F.
Bristol VMD was recently appointed Terradyne’s official UAE agents and is responsible for marketing and supporting the product range within territory. Terradyne is known for its Gurkha range of armored military and law enforcement vehicles that employ the respected and robust Ford F550 chassis and power platform.

Bristol VMD was established to help address the Middle East region’s growing demand for world class fully efficient and reliable fire fighting and safety vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances. The new manufacturing facility measures at 30,000 square meters and specifically caters to addressing the mobile fire fighting and ambulance needs of civil defence, aviation, police, and oil and gas segments. The soft opening of the new division during the third quarter of 2012 has helped position Bristol VMD in a segment that specializes in the manufacture of fire fighting vehicles, ambulances and rapid intervention vehicles. “We are looking forward to our participation at this year’s IDEX, which has become the most strategically important tri-service exhibition and conference in the world. This exciting five-day event will serve as a strategic platform for us to increase awareness of our newly established Vehicle Manufacturing Division. In addition, we will be promoting Terradyne’s new Gurkha tactical vehicles, the Gurkha LAPV and the Gurkha RPV. أعلنت "بريستول - وحدة تصنيع المركبات" (Bristol VMD)، التابعة لـ "مجموعة كونكورد – كورودكس" (من "مجموعة شركات محمد حمد المانع")، عن مشاركتها في نشاطات الدورة الحادية عشرة لمعرض ومؤتمر الدفاع الدولي "آيدكس 2013"، أضخم معرض دفاعي في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا يسلط الضوء على أحدث التقنيات والإبتكارات في مجالات الدفاع البري والبحري والجوي، والذي يقام في الفترة من 17 إلى 21 فبراير الجاري في مركز أبوظبي الوطني للمعارض "أدنيك".
وتعتزم "وحدة تصنيع المركبات - بريستول" تسليط الضوء على الآلية الدورية المدرعة الخفيفة (LAPV) من طراز "غورخا" والآلية الدورية السريعة (RPV) من طراز "غورخا"، حيث يعدان أحدث طرازين من الآليات التكتيكية التي تطلقها شركة "تيرادين للآليات المصفحة" (Terradyne Armored Vehicles) ، وهي شركة فرعية مملوكة بالكامل لشركة "ماجنا الدولية" وتتخذ من كندا مقراً لها. وأشيد بأداء الآلية الدورية المدرعة الخفيفة (LAPV) من طراز "غورخا" خلال مشاركتها الأخيرة في التدريبات الميدانية للقوات البرية الإماراتية في صيف 2012، ونالت تقييمات عالية. ويمكن للزوار والحضور الإطلاع على مزايا هاتين الآليتين من خلال زيارة منصة "تيرادين" في المعرض CP-410 في الباحة الخارجية المقابلة للمخرج F.
وقامت شركة "تيرادين" مؤخراً بإختيار " بريستول - وحدة تصنيع المركبات" وكيلاً رسمياً لها في الإمارات، حيث ستكون مسؤولة عن تسويق ودعم محفظة منتجات "تيرادين" ضمن المنطقة. وتشتهر "تيرادين" بمجموعتها الواسعة من الآليات العسكرية المدرعة ومركبات الشرطة وغيرها من مركبات سلطات إنفاذ القانون، حيث تعتمد في تصميمها على هيكل سيارة Ford F550 القوي والمتين والذي يتمتع بدرجات عالية من الموثوقية والجودة.

وتأسست "بريستول - وحدة تصنيع المركبات" للمساعدة في تلبية الطلب المتنامي في منطقة الشرق الأوسط على مركبات متنية وعالية الجودة في مجال مكافحة الحرائق والسلامة، مثل سيارات الإطفاء والإسعاف. وتمتد منشأة التصنيع الجديدة على مساحة تقدر بنحو 30,000 متر مربع وتهدف إلى تلبية إحتياجات قطاعات الدفاع المدني والطيران والشرطة والنفط والغاز على مركبات حديثة لمكافحة الحرائق إضافة إلى سيارات الإسعاف. وساهم إطلاق العمليات التشغيلية للمنشأة الجديدة في الربع الثالث من العام الماضي بتعزيز حضور الشركة في قطاع تصنيع سيارات مكافحة الحريق وسيارات الإسعاف ومركبات التدخل السريع.
