Tenable and the Center for Internet Security Enter Partnership to Bolster Cyber Hygiene Across Public and Private Sectors

 

 New partnership helps resource-constrained organizations improve their foundational cybersecurity practices, understand their exposure and improve basic cyber hygiene

Dubai, UAE (October 11, 2020) -- Tenable®, Inc., the Cyber Exposure company, today announced a strategic partnership with the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS®) that will bolster cyber hygiene for both public and private sector organizations, making foundational cybersecurity more affordable, accessible and actionable.

The two primary challenges organizations face in achieving basic cyber hygiene are lean budgets and limited staff with security expertise. This partnership is an important step in making foundational cybersecurity more attainable for both small and medium-sized organizations. To this end, CIS has developed a new prioritization scheme called the CIS Controls Assessment Specification for CIS Controls, its internationally recognized cybersecurity best practices. The CIS Controls are organized into Implementation Groups (IGs) which provide  a prioritized path for organizations to improve their cybersecurity posture. IG1 represents basic cyber hygiene and the essential protections that should be put into place by all organizations. 

Through its new Tenable.sc™ dashboard and report, Tenable is the first and only vendor to automate both the implementation and auditing of an organization’s adherence to IG1, maximizing limited budgets and resource-constrained teams. This helps organizations transform the Controls into actionable cybersecurity recommendations and integrate basic cyber hygiene across their operations.

Egypt- October 7, 2020 - Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) and Aden Group, one of Asia’s largest integrated facility management companies, today introduced a turnkey, ready-to-use infectious disease hospital solution, Akila Care, that could be quickly deployed and easily maintained in Arab countries severely impacted by COVID-19 and urgently in need of high quality medical facilities. This new initiative comes in light of the successful world premiere of the hospital experience set up in a few days in Wuhan, China as well as in other countries.

The two companies have worked together to develop new hospital engineering, construction and operations processes by leveraging Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and Aden Group’s Akila Care smart and connected hospital concept. Dubai International Financial Centre joins hands with PwC Middle East to offer online solution to address data privacy compliance

 

Dubai, UAE, 11 October 2020: With support from the Office of the Commissioner of Data Protection at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), PwC Middle East has launched an innovative online solution to help organisations comply with the recently a­­­­nnounced DIFC Data Protection Law . The DIFC data privacy assessment provides organisations with bespoke reports outlining their current status against the key requirements of the Law, and detailed recommendations on the steps they should take to improve.

 

Around the world, data privacy has been gaining momentum and importance over recent years, with governments at a global and Middle East level introducing new data privacy laws to protect the individual. The DIFC Data Protection law was introduced to further build upon the Centre’s reputation as a leading global financial centre, whilst promoting ethical data sharing. It is applicable to DIFC-registered controllers and processors of personal data.

 

The comprehensive self-assessment has been developed in line with PwC’s internationally-established data protection framework, and tailored to the specifics of the DIFC Data Protection Law. The Law has been in effect from 1 October, with organisations subject to fines for non-compliance. The introduction of PwC’s online self-assessment offers DIFC-based organisations an effective solution to inform their response to the law’s requirements.
