دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 1 أكتوبر 2019: استضافت دائرة السياحة والتسويق التجاري بدبي "دبي للسياحة" الأسبوع الماضي وفداً رفيع المستوى ضم ممثلين من الغرفة التجارية المصرية بالإسكندرية ومدراء تنفيذيين لــــ 26 شركة سياحية من كبرى الشركات بجمهورية مصر العربية. وتأتي هذه الزيارة لتعزيز أواصر التعاون المشترك بين البلدين، بما يساهم في ترسيخ مكانة دبي كوجهة سياحية متميزة، إلى جانب تكثيف الجهود من أجل استقطاب المزيد من السياح من مصر خلال الفترة المقبلة.



وخلال اللقاء الذي أقيم بفندق ذا بالاس بوسط مدينة دبي، رحب أحمد الخاجة، المدير التنفيذي لمؤسسة دبي للمهرجانات والتجزئة بالوفد الزائر متمنيًا للجميع طيب الإقامة في دبي، كما تقدم بالشكر للغرفة التجارية المصرية بالإسكندرية على جهودها المبذولة للمساهمة في عقد هذا اللقاء وتنظيم هذه الزيارة التي توفّر منصّة مثالية للتواصل والإطلاع على الخدمات والتسهيلات التي توفرها مختلف الجهات في دبي، بالإضافة إلى التعرف على المقومات السياحية التي تتمتع بها الإمارة ، كما أكد على عمق العلاقات الثنائية التي تجمع بين دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وجمهورية مصر العربية.







وأوضح الخاجة أن "دبي للسياحة" أولت السوق المصري أهمية خاصة ضمن حملاتها التسويقية باعتباره من الأسواق المهمة والواعدة مع تزايد أعداد الزوّار من مصر إلى دبي خلال السنوات الأخيرة الماضية، كما أظهرت الإحصاءات الحديثة التي أصدرتها الدائرة والخاصة بأعداد الزوار للأشهر السبعة الأولى من العام الجاري نمواً في أعداد الزوّار من مصر بنسبة 9 بالمئة ليبلغ عددهم 184 ألف زائر، مقارنة مع 169 ألف زائر للفترة ذاتها من العام الماضي، لتحلّ في المركز الـ 13 ضمن الأسواق الأساسية المصدرة للزوّار إلى دبي.



وبالإنابة عن الأستاذ أحمد الوكيل، رئيس الغرفة التجارية المصرية بالإسكندرية ورئيس اتحاد غرف البحر الأبيض المتوسط ألقت سوزان الخولي، مدير ملف الدول العربية، إدارة العلاقات الخارجية بالغرفة التجارية المصرية بالإسكندرية كلمة أشادت بها بالعلاقات الوثيقة والأصيلة بين مصر والإمارات عبر التاريخ والمبنية على التكاتف والدعم المشترك وعمق العلاقات الاستراتيجية على كافة الأصعدة. وأوضحت أن التكامل العربي السياحي ملف هام له أولوية لدى الدولتين الشقيقتين، ويعد قطاع السياحة قطاعا مهما وحيويا، حيث تمتلك مصر إمكانيات سياحية هائلة وطاقات فندقية كبيرة، كما تولي الإمارات اهتماما بالغا بقطاع السياحة وأصبحت اليوم الدولة الأكثر جذبا للسياح على الصعيدين العربي والدولي. وأشارت إلى أن الهدف من هذه الزيارة هو جعل التعاون المصري الإماراتي في مجال السياحة نموذجا يحتذى به بين الدول الأخرى مع فتح مجالات شراكة في الاستثمار السياحي بين البلدين.



ومن جهته أكد الدكتور يونان إدوارد، وزير مفوض تجاري، رئيس المكتب التجاري والإقتصادي بالقنصلية العامة لجمهورية مصر العربية في دبي أهمية العلاقات المصرية الإماراتية، مشيرا إلى أن الإمارات تأتي في المركز الأول من حيث كونها أكبر المستثمرين في مصر، وكذلك من حيث الصادرات المصرية إليها. وأشار إلى أن مثل هذه الملتقيات والزيارات من شأنها أن تساهم في تعزيز التعاون المثمر بين البلدين، ولاسيما في القطاع السياحي الذي توقّع له أن يشهد حركة كبيرة وتقدمًا ملحوظًا خلال السنوات المقبلة في ظل وجود إرادة حقيقية لدى الجانبين.



ومن ناحيته أشار حسام الحلو، رئيس مجلس إدارة شعبة السياحة والطيران، رئيس الوفد المصري الزائر إلى أن التفاهمات التي جرت بين الطرفين من شأنها المساهمة في تعزيز التعاون السياحي بينهما، وتؤسس لمرحلة مقبلة واعدة، وأن الزيارة المقبلة المخطط لها في شهر فبراير المقبل ستكون أكبر مع استضافة المزيد من الشركات المصرية.



وتم خلال اللقاء مشاركة كل من قسم الأسواق المجاورة بالعمليات الدولية، وقسم الاستراتيجية واستشراف المستقبل، وقسم الفعاليات والمهرجانات، وقسم إدارة المشاريع بالدائرة، بالإضافة إلى كل من طيران الإمارات، وفلاي دبي، والإدارة العامة للإقامة وشؤون الأجانب بدبي، وبريو هابPrioHub و بطاقة دبي، وشركة بلانت بايمينت، وشركة رضا إنترناشيونال عن طريق تقديم عروض تقديمية حول الخدمات والتسهيلات والعروض التي توفرها للمسافرين. وأكدت حمدة الفلاحي، مدير تحليل الأعمال التجارية في طيران الإمارات أن الناقلة الوطنية تعتزم إضافة 4 رحلات منتظمة أسبوعياً إلى القاهرة اعتباراً من 28 أكتوبر 2019، ليرتفع عدد رحلاتها إلى 25 رحلة أسبوعياً. ويعني ذلك زيادة 1416 مقعداً إضافياً في كل اتجاه على هذا الخط الحيوي. وسوف تعمل الرحلات الأربع الجديدة بطائرات البوينج 777-300ER، بتقسيم الدرجات الثلاث: الدرجة الأولى ورجال الأعمال والدرجة السياحية. كما ستطلق طيران الإمارات خدمةً يوميةً جديدةً إلى المكسيك عبر برشلونة في شهر ديسمبر المقبل. ومن ناحيته قدم الرائد خليل إبراهيم محمد، مدير إدارة التسويق والاتصال الحكومي والنقيب علي عبيد المهيري، رئيس قسم أذونات الدخول في الإدارة العامة للإقامة وشؤون الأجانب بدبي عرضًا توضيحيًا حول التأشيرات السياحية والتطبيقات الذكية والخدمات والإجراءات الميسرة التي توفّرها الإدارة على مدار الساعة، بالإضافة إلى إعطاء لمحة حول تطبيق التسهيلات الخاصّة بإعفاء مرافقي السياح الأجانب القادمين إلى دولة الإمارات الذين تقلّ أعمارهم عن 18 عاماً من رسوم تأشيرة الدخول السياحية خلال الفترة من 15 يوليو وحتى 15 سبتمبر من كل عام، والتي ساهمت في جذب العائلات إلى دبي خلال فصل الصيف. كما تحدثت تميمة كمال، المدير التجاري في فلاي دبي للسودان ومصر ، وأيضا روي جون، مسؤول تطوير الأعمال لدى عطلات من فلاي دبي عن نشأة الناقلة الوطنية وتوسع عملياتها ووجهاتها وأسطولها على مدار السنوات الماضية، بالإضافة إلى أهمية السوق المصري بالنسبة لفلاي دبي، كما تم تسليط الضوء على الباقات التي توفرها فلاي دبي لقضاء أجمل الإجازات في مجموعة من الوجهات المميزة ومن بينها مصر.



وإلى جانب ورش العمل، تم تنظيم برنامج الرحلة بشكل يمكّن الوفد من الاستمتاع بتجارب العديد من أهم الوجهات السياحية والترفيهية بالإمارة والتى تشمل مجموعة من الأنشطة الترفيهية العائلية والفعاليات الثقافية والمعالم التراثية. وتضمن برنامج الزيارة برج خليفة (الطابق 156)، وفندق أتلانتس النخلة، وبرواز دبي، وذا جرين بلانيت، ودبي باركس آند ريزوترس، بالإضافة إلى زيارة لموقع إكسبو 2020 دبي، إلى جانب حضور عرض "لا بيرل"، وتذوق مجموعة من الأطباق العربية والعالمية التي تشتهر بها دبي.

Banishing blinding trachoma in Egypt

Cairo, September 30 2019: Nearly 300,000 people in Egypt have been administered antibiotics to treat the world’s leading infectious cause of blindness, trachoma, as part of a country-wide mass treatment campaign in partnership with Sightsavers. This was the first Mass Drug Administration (MDA) of its kind in the country, and over the course of seven days health workers distributed doses of the antibiotic Zithromax®, donated by Pfizer, to 288,365 people aged six months and over. Delivered by the Ministry of Health and district level governates, in partnership with organisations such as Sightsavers and other NGOs, the treatment for trachoma is crucial in preventing children and adults from going needlessly blind.  The MDA took place at the end of July in Matay, in the Menia region of Egypt, where nearly 10 per cent of children aged one to nine exhibited symptoms of the disease. Children under seven received their dose in the form of syrup and teams offered medical advice as well as distributed the antibiotics, in the presence of a nurse and a recorder. The teams went from house to house in 24 villages and three suburban areas, travelling across difficult terrain, to villages nestled in the base of mountains, and even visited a Matay prison, where the director of health personally took a dose of the antibiotic in front of prisoners to encourage their participation. The 468 health workers also prepared communities for the drug distribution and shared information about trachoma through local media, social media, community leaders, policy makers, faith leaders, and other community organisations. Philip Downs, Sightsavers’ Technical Director for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) said, “This is a real milestone for public health in Egypt. Blinding trachoma has been causing suffering in Egypt since the age of the Pharaohs and could very soon be banished to the history books if it is made a priority.

Commvault to showcase Data Readiness for smart cities at GITEX 2019
