Nozomi Networks to Showcase Market-leading Industrial Cyber Security Solutions at GITEX 2019

Dubai, UAE, September 29, 2019 — Nozomi Networks, the leader in industrial cyber security and operational visibility, announced its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2019, to be held from October 6—10, 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The company will showcase its real-time industrial control system (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) network visibility products and demonstrate how they can be integrated into existing platforms, such as Fortinet’s Network Access Control (FortiNAC) at the region’s biggest ICT exhibition.

“As IT and operational networks become more interconnected across the UAE and elsewhere, the attack surface for cyber threats has also expanded. Nozomi Networks arms enterprises with proactive tools, delivering OT visibility, threat detection and insight within a single solution to hundreds of thousands of critical infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, mining, transportation and other industrial devices worldwide. GITEX Technology Week 2019 offers the perfect platform to showcase these tools to an audience of targeted customers and partners from across the region visiting the exhibition to scout for the latest technologies,” says Marcus Josefsson, Nozomi Networks Director – Middle East, Africa & Russia.

Nozomi Networks is accelerating the pace of digital transformation by pioneering innovation for industrial cyber security and operational control. Now in its sixth technology generation, Nozomi Networks solutions automate the hard work of inventorying, visualizing and monitoring industrial control networks through the innovative use of artificial intelligence. The use cases for Nozomi stretch beyond Cyber security, and include trouble shooting, asset management and predictive maintenance. Also catering to the needs of operators and owner of the industrial process.

Nozomi Networks has witnessed a rising demand for ICS cyber security solutions recently, against an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape as greater numbers of industrial and critical infrastructure sectors are targeted. “As industrial cyber security becomes a budgeted line-item for the mainstream market across the Middle East, we are experiencing phenomenal customer, partner and market growth. 2019 is the year for ICS cyber security,” Mr. Josefsson explains.

“We see the urgency and growing demand every day as more and more industrial companies around the world reach out to us for help in aggressively arming themselves against cyber threats rising in number, persistence and strength. ICS cyber security is a priority and organizations are strengthening their cyber security posture with innovative OT security technologies that provide deep visibility and control across the converging OT and IT spaces,” Mr. Josefsson adds.

Half of all organization leaders polled in the Nozomi sponsored SANS 2019 State of OT/ICS Cybersecurity Report rate their ICS security threat as high or severe. The daunting number reinforces the fact that even as Middle Eastern and global organizations make OT cyber security a priority, cyber attacks and data breaches continue to rise and are evolving as OT and IT converge and organizations adopt mobile and wireless capabilities. Unprotected devices, nation-states/hacktivisits and internal accidents rank as the top three threats, followed by IT integration and external risks arising via supply chain or partner interface.

Nozomi Networks will use its participation at GITEX Technology Week to educate customers on the shifting threat landscape as organizations embrace the benefits of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). “Cyber security challenges are expanding as ICS boundaries become broader, interwoven and interdependent, exchanging information with myriad other systems and processes. Challenges in this area include mobile and wireless devices, as mobile applications replace engineering workstation applications, and wireless communication is more widely used to transfer data from sensor networks,” Mr. Josefsson concludes.

Nozomi will be participating with Fortinet on their Stand SR-C10 in Sheikh Rashid Hall at GITEX Technology Week 2019. Visitors will be able to see firsthand demonstrations of the company’s ICS security solutions and meet with cyber security experts at the stand with a view to understanding how emerging threats could compromise local business in the Middle East.
