16th edition of the Saudi Plastics and Petrochemicals Exhibition successfully launched with more than 154 exhibitors

January 28, 2019 – The 16th edition of the Saudi Plastics and Petrochemicals Exhibition opened at the Jeddah Center for forums and events, in the presence of his Highness Saud Bin Abdullah Bin Jalwi, advisor to the Governor of Makkah region, undersecretary of Jeddah Province. The exhibition, in conjunction with the Saudi Print & Pack exhibition 2019 and organized by the Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd., will continue until 30 January 2019, presenting an ideal platform for engineers, industrialists and businessmen to identify the latest products, technologies and services within the petrochemical, plastics, printing and packaging sectors.




The exhibition is a real opportunity for exhibitors from around the world to highlight their new products, technologies, machinery and equipment used in the petrochemical, plastics, printing and packaging sectors. In addition, it is also the perfect platform to review the investment prospects of these sectors in line with global demand, where exports of chemical products and plastics represent more than two thirds of total Saudi industrial exports and 10% of the overall exports of the kingdom.

28 يناير 2019 – انطلقت فعاليات الدورة السادسة عشر من "المعرض السعودي للبلاستيك والصناعات ‏البتروكيماوية 2019" بالتزامن مع "المعرض السعودي للطباعة والتغليف 2019"، في مركز جدة للمنتديات والفعاليات، بافتتاح رسمي من صاحب السمو الأمير سعود بن عبدالله بن منصور بن جلوي، مستشار أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة وكيل محافظة جدة.

ويستمر المعرض الذي تنظمه "شركة معارض الرياض المحدودة" حتى 24 جمادي الأولى 1440 هـ/ 30 يناير 2019، حيث يعتبر منصة مثالية للمهندسين والصناعيين ورجال الأعمال للإطلاع على أحدث المنتجات والتقنيات والخدمات ضمن قطاعات البتروكيماويات والبلاستيك والطباعة والتغليف. 

ويشكل المعرض فرصة حقيقية للعارضين من حول العالم لتسليط الضوء على منتجاتهم وتقنياتهم الجديدة إضافة إلى الآلات والمعدات التي يستخدمونها في قطاعات البتروكيماويات والبلاستيك والطباعة والتغليف، واستعراض الآفاق الاستثمارية لهذه القطاعات بما يتماشى مع الطلب العالمي، في حين تمثل صادرات المنتجات الكيماوية والبلاستيك أكثر من ثلثي إجمالي الصادرات الصناعية السعودية و10% من إجمالي صادرات المملكة عموماً. 

و قال الأستاذ محمد بن سليمان آل الشيخ، مدير عام التسويق في "شركة معارض الرياض المحدودة": " تولي المملكة العربية السعودية اهتماماً خاصاً لقطاع البتروكيماويات باعتباره أحد الركائز الرئيسة للاقتصاد السعودي، حيث يستهلك السوق السعودي وحده ما يعادل ثلاثة ونصف مليون طن من البلاستيك سنوياً، ومن المتوقع أن ينمو قطاع البلاستيك في المملكة بمعدل 3.2 بالمئة سنوياً حتى عام 2020. ويجمع المعرض في دورته السادسة عشر مئات العارضين في المملكة، و يستقطب الآلاف من الزوار المتخصّصين ورجال الأعمال ومتعهدي المشاريع وكبار الشخصيات وصناع القرار من مختلف القطاعات الصناعية."

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 30 يناير 2019: أعلنت شركة بيرست Birst، التابعة لشركة إنفور والرائدة في مجال حلول الأعمال السحابية الذكية وتحليل البيانات لقطاع المؤسسات، اليوم عن توفيرها لسلسلة جديدة من الحلول الذكية لتحليل البيانات والمبنية على منصة إنفور للذكاء الاصطناعي (كولمان) Coleman.

المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي بدافوس 2019 يستعرض أبرز نجاحات دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في ميدان الرعاية الصحية

المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي 2019 الذي اختتم أعماله في دافوس بسويسرا مؤخراً، نقاشات حول مواضيع متعددة ذات أثر مباشر على الإنسانية.

وكانت الرعاية الصحة إحدى هذه القضايا الرئيسية موضع النقاش، حيث تم عقد لجنة خاصة من قبل المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي حول مستقبل المنشآت الطبية، ترأستها هيلين كلار، رئيسة وزراء نيوزيلندا السابقة، وكان ضمن قائمة الحضور البارزة الرؤساء التنفيذيين لجمعية القلب الأمريكية، ومؤسسة جيفرسون الطبية الأمريكية، ومؤسسة فيليب الملكية الهولندية.

وفي معرض تعليقه على الحدث قال براسانت مانغات، الرئيس والمدير التنفيذي لمجموعة إن إم سي للرعاية الصحية: "خلال مناقشة اللجنة الحصرية لتحديات الحياة الواقعية والحلول المعروضة في مواجهة تلك التحديات، عرضت إن إم سي للرعاية الصحية العوامل التي أسهمت في نمو ونجاح المجموعة التي تتخذ من أبوظبي مقراً لها ولتصبح أكبر مشغل للرعاية الصحية في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي بما تضمه من حوالي 200 مرفق رعاية صحية في 20 دولة".

Emirates Steel signs marine services agreement with Abu Dhabi Ports worth AED1 billion

30 January 2019, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE and a subsidiary of the General Holding Corporation (SENAAT), has signed a strategic agreement with Abu Dhabi Marine Services (SAFEEN), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports, which has been valued at AED 1 billion.




The agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Steel, Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, and Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Ports, in the presence of Captain Adil Banihammad, Acting CEO – Marine Services, Abu Dhabi Marine Services – SAFEEN, and a number of senior officials and engineers from both parties.




The agreement, which will be implemented in January 2021 and will extend over the following ten years, is the result of Emirates Steel’s commitment to both providing high quality products, and optimizing its supply chain in accordance with international standards. Such aims fall in line with Emirates Steel’s efforts to support Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.




In the agreement, SAFEEN will provide short marine shipping services for three shipments of iron ore per month. Additionally, SAFEEN will be responsible for the purchase, rental, delivery, operation and maintenance of cargo ships, trailers and unloading equipment for Emirates Steel.




Speaking about the agreement, Eng. Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of SENAAT, said: "We are delighted to have signed this agreement between Emirates Steel and Abu Dhabi Ports, which reflects our ongoing commitment to home-grown entities working together and their keenness to build strategic partnerships that contribute to supporting the economy of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general.”

Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, the CEO of Emirates Steel, said: “Emirates Steel continues to seek to enhance its production capabilities in Abu Dhabi, and the signing of this agreement falls in line with such a commitment. Through this agreement we have ensured the best shipping services for our cargo in order to continue to improve our production capacity in Abu Dhabi.




“This agreement is the result of a joint effort that has lasted over a year and it reflects the spirit of cooperation between the two national companies. The signing of this agreement with Abu Dhabi Marine Services Company comes following a tendering process, which attracted a diverse and international range of industry leaders,” added Eng. Al Remeithi.




“This agreement will enhance Emirates Steel’s capabilities, and contributes towards its goal of being an internationally leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality steel products, alongside providing technical services and solutions to clients, and increasing revenues for shareholders,” concluded Eng. Al Remeithi.
