The World Bank reports that since 2014, mobile phone penetration exceeded 100% in Ghana, compared to 1% in 2000. The people of Ghana also benefit from increasing availability of high-speed Internet, creating the perfect environment for information technology-enabled services such as Uber. You can start the Uber app from anywhere and wait safely for your car to arrive. That means no standing on the street to hail a cab or struggling to find the nearest bus stop late at night. You can easily identify the driver and car coming to pick you up. When a driver accepts your request, you see his or her first name, photo, and license plate number. You can also check whether others have had a good experience with him or her. In addition, the driver can see your first name and rating. You can contact the driver—and vice versa— through the app if there is any confusion around pick-up details. Share Your Ride Details Share your ETA and location. You can easily share your ride details, including the specific route and estimated time of arrival, with friends or family for extra peace of mind. They’ll receive a link where they can see in real time the name and photo of the driver, their vehicle, and where you are on the map until you arrive at your destination—and they can do all of this without having to download the Uber app themselves. After the Ride · Feedback and ratings after every trip. After every ride, you and your drivers need to rate each other and provide feedback. Our safety team reviews this information and investigates any issues. · 24/7 Support. If something happens in a car, whether it’s a traffic accident or altercation between you and your driver, our customer support staff are ready to respond to any issues 24 hours a day, seven days a week. · Rapid Response. We have a dedicated Incident Response Team to answer any more urgent issues. If we receive a report that a driver or rider has acted dangerously or inappropriately, we suspend their account, preventing him or her from accessing the platform while we investigate. Behind the Scenes · Always on the map. Accountability is one of the things that makes riders feel safe in an Uber. We use GPS to keep a record of where a driver goes during the ride, allowing us to verify that the most efficient routes are being used, which creates accountability and a strong incentive for good behavior.· Working with law enforcement. شيراتون خور دبي يعزز روح العطاء في شهر رمضان بحملة إفطار لسائقي سيارات الأجرة
دبي، 9 يونيو، 2016: يحتفل فندق وأبراج شيراتون خور دبي يوم الثلاثاء 21 يونيو مع ما يقارب 100 سائق سيارة أجرة ضمن مبادرة تهدف لتنمية روح العطاء والمحبة في شهر رمضان.
وفي إطار التزامه المستمر بالاحتفال بالشهر الفضيل وتنمية أواصر الود والتآخي في المجتمع، يشارك شيراتون خور دبي للعام السابع على التوالي ضمن حملة "إفطار سائقي سيارات الأجرة" التي أطلقتها مجموعة فنادق ستاروود، وذلك بالاشتراك مع عدد من الفنادق التابعة لمجموعة ستاروود في مختلف أنحاء المنطقة.
وستوزع علب تحتوي على الطعام والشراب خلال ساعة الإفطار على سائقي سيارات الأجرة عند المدخل الرئيسي لكل فندق مشارك بما في ذلك شيراتون خور دبي.
وسيتعاون الطهاة العاملون في مطاعم الفندق الستة من أجل تحضير وجبات الإفطار التي تحتوي على التمر والحمّص والسندويشات بالإضافة إلى الفواكه الطازجة والكيك. وسيقوم فريق الإدارة والمساعدون من مختلف أقسام الفندق، بما في ذلك المدير العام ستيفان فاندن أويل، بقيادة الحملة وتقديم علب الإفطار. وقد أصبحت الحملة تقليدًا سنويًا للعديد من سائقي سيارات الأجرة في أنحاء المنطقة.

الإمارات العربية المتحدة، دبي، 09 يونيو 2016: تستعد ماكلارين أوتوموتيف للمشاركة من جديد في مهرجان السرعة الذي يقام خلال الصيف، وذلك احتفالاً بالانتصارات والألقاب التي حققتها على مدار خمسة عقود. وتهدف ماكلارين لتكريم السائقين والبطولات التي تمكنت فرقها من الوصول فيها إلى منصة التتويج. وسيعود الجناح الخاص بماكلارين من جديد إلى مروج منطقة غوودوود، مع حضور مجموعة من أهم سيارات السباق إلى جانب تشكيلة كاملة من طرازات ماكلارين العصرية ضمن الفئات الثلاث الرياضية والسوبر والفائقة. وتغطي الطرازات المعروضة أكثر من 50 سنة من مشاركة ماكلارين في السباقات، كما تتضمن أوسع تشكيلة من طرازات ماكلارين تعرض حتى الآن، وتتضمن طراز 570 جي تي الجديد.
وكما هو الحال في السنوات السابقة، تقدم ماكلارين في منصة سيارات السوبر طرازات من الفئات الثلاث. وسيشهد الحدث الظهور العالمي الأول لطراز 570 إس سبرينت المخصص للحلبات فقط والذي تم الإعلان عنه مؤخراً على تلة غوودوود إلى جانب طراز 570 إس كوبيه من الفئة الرياضية، فيما سيتم الاحتفال بالذكرى الخمسين لتحقيق لقب بطولة كان-آم بعرض سيارة 650 إس كان-آم التي قدمها مركز ماكلارين للعمليات الخاصة، إلى جانب طراز 675 إل تي سبايدر التي بيعت بالكامل من الفئة الرياضية. وتكتمل المجموعة مع طراز بي 1 جي تي آر. وباعتبار أن هذا الطراز من الفئة الفائقة هو أكثر السيارات قوة لدى ماكلارين، فإنه يؤكد على استمرار القوة والأداء العاليين اللذين تتميز بهما الشركة.
ويعد عام 2016 موسم استعادة ذكريات أهم الأحداث في عالم رياضة السيارات، وخاصة بالنسبة لماكلارين. ويشهد هذا العام الاحتفال بالذكرى 50 لانطلاق سلسلة كان-آم، والذكرى السنوية المئوية لإقامة سباقات إندي 500، ومرور 40 سنة على إحراز السائق الأسطوري البريطاني جيمس هانت لقب الفورمولا 1، ومرور 30 سنة على إحراز آلان بروست ثاني لقب عالمي له. وفي المحصلة، فإن كل من هذه الأحداث يمثل إنجازاً مميزاً، ويساهم في إثراء تاريخ عالم السباقات، كما يشكل جزءاً من الإرث الذي يتمتع به الفريق الأكثر نجاحاً في رياضة السيارات حول العالم.
وكانت سيارة ماكلارين إم 8 دي، من موسم 1970، والتي تتميز بلونها البرتقالي الذي يمثل إرث ماكلارين، قد احتفلت بالذكرى الخمسين لتنظيم سلسلة سباقات كان-آم والتي شاركت فيها ماكلارين بين ستينيات وسبعينيات القرن الماضي. وتشكل هذه السلسلة الاختبار الفائق للهندسة والقوة، كما تمكنت فيها ماكلارين من ترسيخ مكانتها وتفوقها، وحققت فيها خمس بطولات متتالية تحت قيادة السائق النيوزيلندي ومؤسس الفريق بروس ماكلارين.
كما يصادف عام 2016 الذكرى المئوية لانطلاق سباقات إندي 500 والتي حققت فيها ماكلارين انتصارات في ثلاث مناسبات مختلفة. وكان الظهور الأول لماكلارين في حلبة بريكيارد من خلال سيارة إم 15 من تصميم غوردون كوباك في 1970. واستخدم التصميم تجربة سيارة كان-آم الرياضية ذات المقعد الواحد، وفازت السيارة بجائزة أفضل تصميم في العالم للتميز الهندسي.
كما تمثل سيارة إم بي 4–2 سي التي حازت على بطولة الفورمولا 1 في موسم 1986 إرث ماكلارين ومشاركتها في السباقات على مدار 50 عاماً. ويعد هذا الطراز الذي كان يقوده كل من آلان بروست وكيكي روزبرغ الاستخدام الأخير للهيكل الأكثر نجاحاً ضمن سباقات الفورمولا 1. وفي موسم 1986 حقق بروست الفوز في أربعة سباقات في طريقه لحمل ثاني ألقابه في بطولة السائقين.
