ADP Educates Public on Safe Driving in Dalma Mall

At the Harley Davidson event at the Dalma Mall in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi Police urged participants to comply with safety requirements and to drive safely for the sake of their own safety and for the safety of others.

The Community Police took part in the initiative which aims to enhance community outreach and increase awareness regarding driving motorcycles properly and safely in order to avoid risking any harm to individuals. The participation and community outreach by the Community Police embodies the strategy of the Abu Dhabi Police in the field of traffic safety.

A total of 25 motorbikes were included in the parade that took place at Dalma Mall amongst the amazement of the public. The event also featured entertainment and art shows presented by the participating teams.

Mohammed Al Mazroui, Member and Board of Directors at Dalma Mall, praised the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police in securing the event, and for their participation and interaction with the public. He also hailed the initiative of the police to launch various outreach campaigns and events in commercial centers.

For her part, Abir Adel, Head of Operations, Procurement, and Project Director at Dalma Mall, highlighted that the event attracted thousands of visitors, of whom were mainly families. “They enjoyed watching the attractive motorcycle parade that safely roamed the mall and respected the safety procedures designated by the Abu Dhabi Police,” she said.

Two New Sweden Visa Application Centres open in the UAE

Dubai, 15 January 2015: The Embassy of Sweden in Abu Dhabi has outsourced its visa application process to VFS Global. People who want to apply for Schengen visas to Sweden can now do this at two new centres managed by VFS Global – one in Abu Dhabi and one in Dubai. While VFS Global will accept visa applications, the Embassy will continue to make the assessment and decisions regarding all visas. The new Visa application centres are located at Wafi Mall, Level 2 in Dubai and Shining Tower, Level 25, in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Media documentary production “A Place Called Home”, sheds light on UAE’s ideal living standards

Abu Dhabi, 14 January 2015: Abu Dhabi Media, one of the fastest growing, multi-platform media and entertainment organizations in the Middle East, announced that a specially produced documentary entitled ‘A Place Called Home’, will air exclusively on Abu Dhabi Al Emarat today Thursday 15th of January at 9pm. The documentary highlights the UAE’s ideal living standards, and how it has emerged to become beacon for tolerance and well-being for all segments of society. It follows the heartfelt journey of five expatriates from different nationalities that leave their families at home to emigrate to the UAE, in hope for a better future.

The documentary film, which will also be broadcast on Abu Dhabi Al Oula on Friday 16th of January at 7pm, is one of Abu Dhabi Media’s latest productions and focuses on the unique social experience offered to residents of the UAE and the benefits they enjoy, in addition to the government support they are provided in line with its humanitarian regulations.

The film also highlights the UAE’s efforts in safeguarding workers' rights and improving standard of living by showcasing the experiences of five individuals from different social backgrounds who chose to work in the UAE to support their families in the Philippines, India, Serbia and Bangladesh.

Yesterday, media representatives across Abu Dhabi enjoyed a private screening of ‘A Place Called Home’ alongside Mr. Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh, Executive Director of Television, at Abu Dhabi Media.

Addressing the attendees, Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh said:  “Abu Dhabi Media is pleased to produce and broadcast ‘A Place Called Home’, a documentary film that brings a truly important issue to life by detailing the lives of individuals from varying cultural backgrounds who have chosen to make the United Arab Emirates their home, in order to make a living for their families.”

“This film is significant in that it is a realistic capture of the radical shift in the lives and futures of those who choose to move to the UAE, and a genuine representation of the country as an ideal living destination. The film not only objectively communicates the

country’s ambitious development plans, but also confirms our commitment to produce and broadcast unique and compelling content that appeals to ours audiences locally and across the region.”

The hour-long documentary is one of Abu Dhabi Media’s most important productions of 2015, and was filmed primarily in the UAE.  Documentary footage also includes scenes from each of the expatriates’ home countries, which uniquely characterizes the quality of the cinematography and production of the film.

أبوظبي، 14 يناير 2015: تبث قناة أبوظبي الإمارات حصرياً اليوم في تمام التاسعة مساءً ، فيلماً وثائقياً بعنوان "بلاد الخير" عن البيئة المثالية لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة للعمل والتعايش، وكيف أصبحت الإمارات وجهة للتسامح والسعادة لكافة فئات المجتمع. ويستعرض البرنامج الوثائقي كيفيّة تحوّل أسلوب حياة خمس عائلات من دول مختلفة بسبب انتقال أفراد من هذه العائلات للإقامة والعمل في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.‬

والفيلم الذي ستبثه قناة أبوظبي الأولى أيضاً في السابعة من مساء الجمعة هو أحدث إنتاج تلفزيوني من أبوظبي للإعلام، ويسلّط الضوء على النموذج العالمي والنسيج الاجتماعي الفريد التي تتميز به الدولة والمعاملة الحسنة التي يحظى بها المقيمون في الإمارات والدعم الذي تؤمّنه الحكومة للموظفين والعمّال الوافدين بكل سواسية وفق نظم ولوائح إنسانية فريدة.

هذا ويبرز الفيلم حرص الدولة على صون حقوق العمّال وتحسين معيشتهم، وذلك من خلال تجارب خمسة أشخاص من بيئات اجتماعية متنوّعة اختاروا العمل في الإمارات من أجل إعالة أسرهم في كل من الفلبين والهند وصربيا وبنغلادش.

وقد نظمت "أبوظبي للإعلام" مساء أمس (الأربعاء) عرضاً خاصاً لـ"بلاد الخير" أمام ممثلي وسائل الإعلام في أبوظبي بحضور السيد عبد الهادي الشيخ، المدير التنفيذي لدائرة التلفزيون في "أبوظبي للإعلام".

وقال السيد عبد الهادي إلى الإعلاميين: "يسعدنا في أبوظبي للإعلام أن نتولّى إنتاج وعرض هذا الفيلم الوثائقي القيّم لأنّه ينقل صورة واقعيّة عن أشخاص من مشارب الحياة المختلفة اختاروا العمل في الإمارات لإيمانهم بحرص الدولة على تأمين معيشة كريمة لهم ولعائلاتهم."

وأضاف: "أهمّية هذا الفيلم تكمن أيضاً في التغيير الجذري الذي يطاول حياة ومستقبل الذين يختارون الإقامة في ربوع الإمارات، وتجسيد مكانة الدولة المتصاعدة كبيئة مثالية للعمل والاستثمار. وتقديمنا لهذا الفيلم يندرج في إطار حرصنا على دعم مسيرة التنمية التي تنتهجها الدولة إضافة إلى توفير أضخم الإنتاجات الفنية والأعمال التلفزيونية التي تتميّز بمحتوى هادف لجمهورنا العريض في الإمارات والوطن العربي."

تجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ الفيلم الوثائقي "بلاد الخير" البالغة مدّته ساعة، صوّرت معظم مشاهده في دولة الإمارات، بينما توزّعت المشاهد الأخرى على دول المغتربين الخمسة، وهو يتميّز بجودة السيناريو والإخراج ويعتبر من أهمّ الإنتاجات للعام الجديد.
