Porsche powers into the future with the launch of the new Cayenne

Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi celebrates the brand’s past, present and future with more than 500 special guests

Abu Dhabi. More than 500 VIP guests, select customers, special invitees and media representatives celebrated another landmark year for Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi, Ali & Sons Co LLC, at an exclusive gala event held at Emirates Palace Hotel. Following a successful year for the local Porsche dealership in the capital, the event also heralded the ongoing achievement of the Porsche brand and the advent of a new range of models.

Invitees were treated to an evening of exceptional entertainment including a live performance by Lebanese singing sensation and actress Myriam Fares, of 'Be'toul Eh' fame, who thrilled with a spirited performance which featured some of her best-known songs.

The attendees were then able to experience up close and personal viewings of the latest model line-up including the Boxster and Cayman GTS, Macan, 911 Targa and the all-new Cayenne which, with its powerful new V6 engine, enhanced driver ergonomics, sharper and edgier design and superior characteristics, was another key highlight of the evening.

The new Porsche Cayenne offers more power and torque with lower fuel consumption as well as enhanced styling and body, sharper design and clear lines. The range now includes; the Cayenne S E-Hybrid with plug-in hybrid drive – a world first in the SUV segment and the Cayenne S with a 3.6 litre V6 bi-turbo engine. The other engines have also been upgraded and a total of five models will be available at Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi.

أبو ظبي. شهد ضيوف وعملاء مركز بورشه أبوظبي، علي وأولاده ذ.م.م،  احتفال أكثر من 500 فرد من كبار الضيوف والعملاء المختارين وعدد من المدعوين الخاصين وممثلي الجهات الإعلامية، بمناسبة مرور مميز آخر لمركز بورشه أبو ظبي، شركة على وأولاده، وذلك ضمن احتفالية حصرية كبرى أقيمت مؤخراً في فندق قصر الإمارات. وعقب عام ناجح كوكيل محلي لـ "بورشة" في العاصمة تم الإعلان خلال الاحتفالية عن الإنجازات المستمرة للعلامة والكشف عن أحدث الموديلات الجديدة.

وقد استمتع المدعوون بأمسية ترفيهية استثنائية تضمنت عرضاً غنائياً حياً للمطربة والممثلة اللبنانية المتألقة ميريام فارس التي اشتهرت بأغنية "بتقول إيه"، والتي أمتعت الحضور بفقرة رائعة تضمنت عددا من أشهر أغانيها.

وبعد ذلك تمكن الحضور من الإطلاع شخصيا وعن قرب على أحدث خطوط الموديلات مثل "بوكستر" و"كايمان جي تي إس"، و"911 تارجا" و"كاين" الجديدة كليا، والتي كانت من أبرز نجوم تلك الأمسية بفضل محركها V6 القوي إلى جانب تصميم وترتيب يتمحوران حول السائق وتصميمها الأكثر حدة فضلا عن سماتها الفائقة الأخرى.  

وتعليقا على الإطلاق الجديد، أوضح أحمد بن علي الظاهري، رئيس مجلس إدارة مركز بورشه أبو ظبي، علي وأولاده، قائلا: "نحتفل هذا العام بنجاح المركز والإنجازات الهامة التي حققها وتعد قصة بورشه كعلامة في المنطقة قصة نجاح عبقرية وأفخر في هذا المقام بالإعلان عن عام آخر من النمو الجدير بالثناء. يرجع الفضل الأكبر في نجاحنا إلى موديل "كاين" الرياضي القوي والذي يتمتع بقصة نجاح منقطعة النظير ومتطورة باستمرار عمرها اثنى عشر عاماً. ومع إطلاق "كاين" الجديدة نتوقع نموا قويا حيث يواصل الموديل ترسيخ مكانته كسيارة رياضية حقيقية ضمن سيارات الدفع الرباعي الفاخرة".

تقدم "بورشه كاين" الجديدة طاقة وعزما أكثر واستهلاك أقل في الوقود إضافة إلى الأسلوب المتطور والهيكل والتصميم الأروع والخطوط الدقيقة. تتضمن هذه التشكيلة الجديدة موديلات "كاين إس إي  هايبرد" الهجين بنظام الدفع المختلط، وهي الأولى في قسم سيارات الدفع الرباعي الفاخرة، و"كاين إس" بمحرك V6 سعة 3.6 لتر بشاحنيْ توربو. كما تم تطوير المحركات الأخرى وسيتم توفير إجمالي خمسة موديلات في مركز بورشه أبو ظبي.

Rubber World Industries wins contract to supply over AED 2.4 million worth of Insulation and HVAC accessories for ‘Sustainable City’ project

AED 1.1 billion development composing of 500 villa units to be completed in 2015

Rubber World Industries LLC (RWI), the leading manufacturer of closed-cell rubber insulation 'Gulf-O-Flex' in the Gulf and South East Asia, and part of the international business conglomerate, the Shaikhani Group of Companies, has been awarded a contract by Diamond Developers to provide over AED 2.4 million worth of building materials, particularly the award winning Gulf-O-Flex range of products, for its AED 1.1 billion ‘Sustainable City’ project. Located in Dubailand, the development will be composed of 500 G+1+R villa units and is set for completion in 2015.

Once completed, the community will feature a school, a university, a planetarium, a country club and a community centre with retail and coffee shops. The first 100 villas are expected to be completed before the end of the year. In addition, the community will also have a green belt with 20,000 trees and a 5,000 square foot long water canal, a 600,000 square foot solar park and water management system that will be recycled 100 per cent of waste water. Developed by Diamond Developers, the project’s consultant firm is Al Ajmi Engineering Consultants, while contracting works is being handled by Jeet Contracting and MEP works by Sun Middle East Electro Mechanical Works LLC.

“The ‘Sustainable City’ project has positioned itself as one of the country’s leading green development projects. Its completion is expected to inspire the development of similar environmentally friendly communities in the UAE and the rest of the region,” said Rizwan Shaikhani Managing Director Rubber World Industries. “Looking to play a major role in its completion, Rubber World Industries will be supplying the project with its diverse portfolio of high quality rubber insulation products, including its  'Gulf-O-Flex' line, premium-quality rubber insulation materials used for air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating made out of the best raw materials from Europe and the US.”

RWI has also shared that aside from the ‘Sustainable City’ project, the company will also be supplying its products to other mega projects in countries like Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran. The move to work closely with these ongoing mega projects has effectively resulted in the company’s excellent performance for 2014—posting almost three times growth as compared to the previous year. Aiming to address the demand for rubber-based building materials, RWI has invested in new production lines, machinery and is utilizing the latest technology to meet the demands of today’s construction market.

حصلت "رابر وورلد للصناعة"، الشركة المتخصصة في مجال تصنيع منتجات المطاط العازل بتقنية الخلايا المغلقة "جلف- أو- فليكس" (Gulf-O-Flex) في منطقة الخليج وجنوب شرق آسيا والتابعة للإئتلاف التجاري الدولي "مجموعة شركات شيخاني"، على عقد من قبل "دايموند ديفيلوبرز" (Diamond Developers) لتوريد مواد بناء بقيمة تفوق 2.4 مليون درهم، وعلى وجه الخصوص مجموعة منتجات "جلف-أو-فليكس" الحائزة على عدة جوائز، وذلك لصالح مشروع "المدينة المستدامة"، الذي تبلغ قيمته 1.1 مليار درهم والواقع في دبي لاند. ويشتمل هذا المشروع على 500 فيلا مؤلفة من طابق أرضي مع طابق أول وسطح ومن المقرر إنجازه خلال العام المقبل.

وسيضم المشروع عند إكتمال العمل فيه على مدرسة وجامعة وبلانتاريوم (planetarium) ونادي ريفي ومركز مجتمعي يشتمل على محلات تجارية ومقاهي. ومن المقرر إنجاز العمل في الـ 100 فيلا الأولى قبل نهاية العام الجاري. كما سيضم حزاماً أخضر يحتوي على 20.000 شجرة، بالإضافة إلى قناة مائية بطول 5.000 قدم، فضلاً عن مجمع للألواح الشمسية بمساحة 600.000 قدم مربع ونظام لإدارة المياه سيقوم بتكرير مياه الصرف الصحي بنسبة 100%. ويقوم بتطوير المشروع شركة "دايموند ديفيلوبرز"، أما الشركة الإستشارية فهي "شركة العجمي للإستشارات الهندسية"، في حين تتولى أعمال المقاولات شركة "جيت للمقاولات" (Jeet Contracting)، وتقوم شركة "الشمس ميدل إيست للأعمال الكهروميكانيكية ذ.م.م." بتنفيذ الأعمال الميكانيكية والكهربائية والصحية.

وقال رزوان شيخاني، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "رابر وورلد للصناعة": "رسّخ مشروع "المدينة المستدامة" من مكانته كأحد مشاريع التطوير العقاري الصديقة للبيئة الرائدة على مستوى الدولة. ومن المتوقع أن يحفّز إنجاز هذا المشروع على تطوير مشاريع مماثلة صديقة للبيئة في دولة الإمارات وبقية أنحاء المنطقة أيضاً. ونتطلع إلى لعب دور رئيسي في عملية إنجاز هذا المشروع، حيث سنعمل على إمداد المشروع بمنتجاتنا المتنوعة من مواد العزل المطاطي عالية الجودة، بما في ذلك مواد العزل المطاطي المتميزة "جلف- أو- فليكس" المستخدمة في وحدات تكييف الهواء والتبريد والتدفئة والمصنوعة من أجود أنواع المواد الخام من أوروبا والولايات المتحدة".

New Release of Bentley Map Mobile Improves Productivity with Redlining and Speedy Dataset Updates

Bentley to Launch New OpenUtilities Products for Streamlined Design and Management of Utility Networks

December 28, 2014 - Bentley Systems is pleased to announce it will soon launch a new OpenUtilities product line that will extend the capabilities of Bentley Utilities Designer to Bentley’s sisNET user base in EMEA. Capabilities unique to the sisNET product line will also be included along with the functionality of WaterCAD and SewerCAD to support typical distribution designs.

Daniel Steinhilber, GIS administrator/quality assurance lead, wesernetz Bremen GmbH, said, “We are very excited about OpenUtilities providing a promising future for the sisNET community. Bentley has been keeping us involved in their plans for moving their utilities products forward. Easy Taxi raises over SR 10,000 for breast cancer awareness

28 December 2014, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - A total of SR 10,540 was raised by Easy Taxi, the global taxi e-hailing service, for the Zahra Breast Cancer Association during a closing ceremony hosted by her Royal Highness Princess Haifa Bint Faisal Bin Turki Al Saud, bringing the “Protect Yourself By Yourself” campaign to a successful close on the 22nd of December.  

Easy Taxi offered the Zahra Breast Cancer Association free rides in support of their mission to educate the public on this disease. Easy Taxi also handed out 2,000 campaign booklets to passengers which highlighted the cause of early breast cancer and the process of detection and treatment.

The company mobilized a donation drive where it offered SR10 to the Zahra Breast Cancer Association for each new customer that signed up to their services within the duration of the campaign.
