Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 02, 2026 – Alibaba Group announced a multi-year partnership with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and UC3, the joint venture between UEFA and European Football Clubs (EFC) that controls and manages the strategic marketing, sales and delivery of commercial rights for UEFA club competitions. Alibaba Group becomes the official and exclusive AI, Cloud Computing Services, and E-commerce partner of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League from 2027/2028 to 2032/2033 and of UEFA EURO 2028^TM.

 

The partnership will see the deployment of Alibaba’s advanced AI capabilities in supporting fan engagement and media and content management via its Qwen Large Language Model (LLM). Together with its cloud computing infrastructure and global e-commerce platform, Alibaba will power an immersive fan and content experience worldwide across UEFA’s flagship competitions.

لتعزيز التعليم المهني في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية تمديد الشراكة بين بيرسون والأردن حتى عام 2031

 

عمّان، الأردن، 2 يونيو 2026 – وقعت وزارة التربية والتعليم الأردنية عقداً لمدة خمس سنوات لتمديد الشراكة حتى عام 2031 مع بيرسون، الشركة العالمية الرائدة للتعليم مدى الحياة (والمدرجة في بورصة فاينانشال تايمز تحت الرمز (FTSE: PSON.L، وذلك لمواصلة تقديم برنامج تطوير التعليم المهني الذي تم إطلاقه لأول مرة في عام 2023.  

تم التوقيع على تمديد الشراكة في سفارة المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية في لندن. بموجب هذا التمديد، ستواصل بيرسون تقديم المؤهلات المهنية في الأردن إلى 362 مدرسة، ومن المتوقع أن يستمر عدد المتعلمين في النمو في السنوات الخمس التالية. كما سيتم تقديم مؤهلات (BTEC) للمستوى الثاني والثالث باللغة العربية في 14  تخصص، بما في ذلك الأعمال وتكنولوجيا المعلومات  والرعاية الصحية والاجتماعية والشعر والتجميل والزراعة.

دخلت بيرسون لأول مرة في شراكة مع وزارة التربية والتعليم الأردنية في مايو 2023 لدعم الإصلاحات التي شهدها نظام التعليم والتدريب الفني والمهني في مدارس الدولة. في إطار هذه المبادرة، تم دمج المؤهلات المهنية في المناهج الوطنية لدعم رؤية التحديث الاقتصادي 2033، مما يساعد على تلبية احتياجات سوق العمل و   تخفيض نسبة ا البطالة بين الشباب. يحصل الطلاب الذين يكملون البرنامج بنجاح على شهادة (BTEC)، الشهادة البريطانية للتعليم التقني والمهني المعتمدة عالمياً والتي يتم تطبيقها في العديد من الدول بما فيها الأردن، وتا  معتمدة من الجامعات في المملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة وأستراليا وكندا وعبر منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا وتركيا.

في إطار هذه الشراكة، ستواصل بيرسون دمج المؤهلات المهنية في المناهج الوطنية، مما يمنح المتعلمين خبرات عملية تؤهلهم للعمل والتعليم العالي. تم تطوير هذه المؤهلات بالتعاون مع نخبة من أبرز المعلمين وأصحاب العمل والهيئات الحكومية، وتتوافق مع الطلب على مهارات القوى العاملة ومصممة لمساعدة المتعلمين على بناء وتعزيز المهارات ذات الصلة بالقطاع لتحقيق النمو المستقبلي.

Egypt’s M&A Activity Resilient, Despite Regional Uncertainty: Ansarada

Egypt, June 02 2026: Ansarada, the AI virtual data room educated on 60,000+ transactions, has released its latest Middle East M&A Market Analysis Q1 2026 report, finding Egypt’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market continues to demonstrate resilience, retaining long-term investor confidence despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty across the region.

According to the report, the Middle East recorded sustained M&A activity in Q1 2026, with 196 announced deals valued at a combined US$23.3 billion, compared to 207 deals worth US$31.3 billion during the same period in 2025.

Egypt accounted for 8 deals valued at US$22 million during the quarter, down from 11 deals in Q1 2025. This resilience reflects both the market’s maturity and the sectors involved, as the country intensifies efforts to attract investment by introducing broad tax incentives and economic reforms.

 

“The conflict may be reshaping deal timelines, but it’s not reshaping the region’s thirst for ongoing M&A activity. We remain confident in the long-term health of deal activity in Egypt, which we view as an enduring and critical hub for M&A in the region, and beyond,” said Justin Smith, Managing Director, Ansarada.

Smith continued, “While volatility continues, there’s a lot of dry powder out there waiting for the right time, while deals already in motion continue to progress with more rigorous diligence. The fundamental strategic drivers for M&A in Egypt remain strong, and dealmakers have to become more accustomed to operating in a new normal of volatility.”

Across the Middle East, deal activity has also remained relatively stable.  Collectively, the Middle East’s deal flow continues to be underpinned by sovereign-backed investment strategies, national transformation agendas and long-term infrastructure priorities rather than short-term market sentiment. While prolonged tensions may slow the pace of dealmaking over the short to medium term, they are unlikely to dent the region’s broader long-term trajectory.

 

It further noted that Middle Eastern acquirers continue pursuing international partnerships and outbound acquisitions, reflecting sustained confidence in the region’s capital strength, strategic positioning and long-term growth outlook.

Sector performance across the Middle East remained robust during the quarter. Technology emerged as the leading sector by volume with 68 deals worth US$7.3 billion, driven by continued investment into AI, fintech and enterprise technology.

Transportation led by value with US$8.2 billion across nine transactions, highlighting sustained investment into strategic infrastructure. Energy and natural resources contributed US$2.2 billion across 18 deals, while healthcare recorded US$1.9 billion across 19 transactions as governments continue expanding medical and life sciences capabilities. Industrials generated US$1.6 billion across 23 deals, driven by national ambitions to strengthen domestic manufacturing and industrial capacity.

Smith also noted that technology is becoming increasingly critical as buyers and investors seek greater transparency and faster access to information in uncertain market conditions. “Periods of uncertainty place enormous pressure on execution certainty. Companies and investors require real-time visibility into risk, compliance and diligence readiness. Virtual data room platforms such as Ansarada are helping dealmakers manage complexity, maintain momentum and execute transactions with greater confidence and efficiency.”

Swisslog to Deliver a Second Frozen High Bay Warehouse Project for Magnavale

The project, known as Magnavale Bristol, will be the second frozen high bay warehouse Swisslog delivers under a framework agreement with Magnavale (Sadel Group).

A framework partnership for long-term growth

The award follows the successful delivery of Project Phoenix, Magnavale's first automated frozen high bay warehouse at Easton in Lincolnshire, which became fully operational at the end of 2024. That project established a framework agreement under which Magnavale plans to construct up to eight frozen high bay warehouses across the UK and EU, with the goal of becoming the market leader in frozen pallet storage. Swisslog's selection reflects the confidence Magnavale has placed in its engineering capability, collaborative approach, and ability to deliver at scale in one of the most demanding operational environments in the industry.

Building on proven engineering with site-specific enhancements

Swisslog's engineering and design teams drew directly on their experience at Easton to shape the Bristol solution, bringing proven technology to the Avonmouth site while incorporating targeted enhancements specific to Magnavale Bristol. Simulation modelling played a central role early in the design process, allowing Swisslog to test and validate throughput levels across a range of operational scenarios, including resilience modes, well before finalising the system design.

 

Working closely alongside racking and cladding suppliers from the outset, Swisslog's teams coordinated the detailed interface between the low bay and high bay warehouse environments.

 

A high-resilience solution for extreme conditions

The Avonmouth facility can operate down to -28°C within an approximately 45-metre high clad-rack structure housing 90,000 total pallet locations across the site. Ten Vectura stacker cranes will manage pallet movements throughout the high bay, comprising two manual dual load handling device cranes and eight double-deep dual load handling device cranes. A two-tiered monorail system and approximately 1,500 metres of ProMove conveyor across two levels will support product flow, with all operations orchestrated by Swisslog's SynQ Warehouse Control System, delivering real-time stock visibility, intelligent load sequencing, and FEFO/FIFO stock management.

 

A defining feature of the solution is Swisslog's commitment to guaranteed minimum throughput rates in the event of a monorail disruption. This resilience requirement, built into the system design and validated through simulation, gives Magnavale the operational confidence to fulfil customer commitments even during periods of disruption.

Magnavale Bristol reinforces Swisslog's credentials as a specialist in large-scale frozen automation, with resident site engineering teams experienced in operating within frozen environments forming part of the ongoing service offer. RIKAZ’s Consortium Awarded SAR 2 Billion Mixed-Use Development in Makkah
