تنفيذ 10 قوافل طبية وتقديم خدمات صحية لأكثر من 21 ألف طفل في محافظة سوهاج

القاهرة، 28 أبريل 2026. أعلنت "مؤسسة ساويرس" عن توقيع اتفاقية تعاون استراتيجي مع "مؤسسة البنك التجاري الدولي – مصر (CIB)"، بصفتها الشريك الاستراتيجي لمبادرة "دار وسلامة"، وبالتعاون مع "مؤسسة إبراهيم أحمد بدران للأعمال الخيرية". تهدف هذه الشراكة إلى إرساء منظومة رعاية صحية متكاملة للأطفال في المناطق الأكثر احتياجاً بمحافظة سوهاج، بما يتماشى مع الرؤية الشاملة للمبادرة في تحقيق تنمية ريفية مستدامة.

ويجسد هذا التعاون نموذجاً لـ "التكامل التنموي" بين المؤسسات الكبرى لسد الفجوات الصحية في صعيد مصر، دعماً لجهود الدولة في تحسين جودة حياة المواطن ضمن رؤية مصر 2030. وتركز الاتفاقية على تقديم خدمات طبية تخصصية وعلاجية ضمن نطاق مبادرة "دار وسلامة"، التي أطلقتها مؤسسة ساويرس كأداة لتطوير البيئة السكنية والاجتماعية الشاملة للأسر المستهدفة.

وتستهدف المبادرة تعظيم الأثر الصحي من خلال تقديم خدمات طبية مجانية لأكثر من 21 ألف طفلا على مدار عام، تشمل قوافل طبية متخصصة وعيادات ثابتة تضمن استدامة الخدمة. كما يمتد التدخل ليشمل إجراء 236 عملية جراحية وتقديم فحوصات دقيقة في تخصصات التغذية والرمد والعظام، إلى جانب تنفيذ 5,000  نشاط توعوي لترسيخ ثقافة الوقاية والارتقاء بالوعي الصحي المجتمعي.

ويرتكز هذا التحالف على مبدأ "تضافر الخبرات"؛ حيث تساهم مؤسسة البنك التجاري الدولي (CIB) بالتمويل الاستراتيجي في إطار دورها كمستثمر مسؤول، بينما تتولى مؤسسة إبراهيم أحمد بدران التنفيذ الميداني عبر كوادرها الطبية المتخصصة، في حين تضطلع مؤسسة ساويرس بضمان اتساق المبادرة مع معايير الاستدامة والأثر التنموي المنشود وربط ذلك بمبادرة دار وسلامة.

Global markets remain fixated on disruption in the Strait of Hormuz. That focus is understandable, but it risks missing a more consequential vulnerability now coming into view, warns Nigel Green, CEO of financial advisory giant deVere Group.

 

What he describes as the “Malacca Premium” is now capturing the rising cost of insuring, shipping, and moving energy through one of the world’s most critical trade corridors.

 

The Strait of Malacca, a narrow waterway between Indonesia and Malaysia that channels trade past Singapore, handles over a fifth of global maritime commerce and ranks as the world’s busiest chokepoint.

 

“The Malacca Premium is coming at us in real time. Markets are under-pricing how quickly disruption in one chokepoint can ripple through the entire system,” comments Nigel Green.

 

In the first half of 2025 alone, over 23 million barrels of oil per day passed through the route, supplying China, Japan, and South Korea. The volume leaves little room for disruption without global consequences.

 

Concern has intensified because of how quickly the narrative around Malacca changed. In the wake of disruption in Hormuz, a senior Indonesian official briefly raised the possibility of introducing transit tolls for vessels using the strait before the idea was swiftly withdrawn and regional governments reaffirmed that passage would remain open and free.

 

The signal, however, has already shifted market thinking.

 

“The fact that tolls were even mentioned tells you everything about how the risk profile is changing,” says the deVere CEO.

 

“This is no longer just about physical disruption. It’s about political leverage and how quickly assumptions can be challenged.

 

“The strait operates under international rules guaranteeing transit passage, yet markets are now confronting a more uncomfortable reality: legal protections do not eliminate geopolitical risk.”

 

Global trade remains heavily concentrated through a handful of narrow corridors. The assumption of uninterrupted flow through these arteries has underpinned decades of efficiency gains.

 

“The assumption is now under strain—and the intensifying Malacca Premium reflects the cost.”

 

Shipping insurance, freight rates, and energy pricing are already responding to rising sensitivity. Even minor disruptions or policy signals can ripple quickly through supply chains given the density of traffic moving through the corridor.

 

“The market has spent years optimising for efficiency,” Nigel Green says.

 

“What it hasn’t done is price fragility properly. The Malacca Premium is that repricing—and it’s unlikely to be gradual if conditions deteriorate.”

 

The implications for investors are immediate. “Exposure to seamless, low-cost global logistics is becoming more fragile, while businesses with flexibility, pricing power and alternative routing capability are better positioned as risk is repriced.”

 

Disruption does not need to materialise at scale to move markets. The anticipation alone—through insurance costs, freight rates and energy volatility—is enough to reshape returns.

 

China’s long-standing concern over reliance on the Malacca Strait, often referred to as the “Malacca Dilemma”, adds further weight.

 

As the world’s largest oil importer, its exposure amplifies the global consequences of any instability in the corridor.

 

Nigel Green concludes: “Investors need to understand the speed at which this risk can escalate.

 

“The Malacca Premium is taking shape now. If this corridor comes under sustained pressure, the impact on global trade, energy markets and asset prices could be immediate and significant.

 

“I suspect that the Malacca Premium, which is taking shape now, is likely to become a defining force in global trade and markets.”

New research from PlanRadar, a leading platform for 360° digital documentation, communication and reporting in construction, facility management and real estate projects, reveals that construction professionals increasingly see AI as a practical support tool rather than a threat to their roles. Based on a January 2026 survey of 1,728 construction professionals across the Middle East and Global Markets, the findings point to a growing gap between the industry’s recognition of AI’s value and the pace of actual investment.

Among surveyed respondents in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the main barrier to wider AI adoption is not fear of job loss, but confidence in how AI is applied in day-to-day project workflows and how easily teams can adopt it. In Saudi Arabia, 63% cite accuracy and trust in AI recommendations as their main concern, followed by the learning curve or complexity of adoption at 33% and data privacy and security at 26%. In the UAE, 59% cite accuracy and trust as their main concern, followed by learning curve or complexity at 29%, while data privacy and security and integration with existing systems are both cited by 18%.
 

“What construction professionals in Saudi Arabia and the UAE are telling us is clear: the conversation is moving beyond whether AI belongs in construction. Both governments have made AI a cornerstone of national strategy. Saudi Arabia through Vision 2030 and SDAIA, the UAE through its AI Strategy 2031. The infrastructure ambition is there. The bigger question is whether it can be trusted, introduced practically, and adopted smoothly by project teams under real delivery conditions. That is where technology providers and employers now need to focus,” said Andrey Belogortsev, Regional Manager - MENA & APAC - PlanRadar.
 

Globally, more than half of respondents say they would be more likely to stay with their current organisation if it significantly increased investment in digital tools with AI capabilities, including one in four who say they would be significantly more likely to stay. Yet nearly half report that their organisations have no current plans to invest in such tools.
 

The research also challenges a common assumption about AI in construction. Fear of job displacement ranks lowest among reported concerns globally. Nearly half of respondents spend 11 or more hours per week on administrative tasks, and among those already using AI-integrated tools, two in three report saving at least two hours per week, per project, on administrative and coordination work.
 

Keeping projects on schedule and managing mid-project changes are the two biggest day-to-day challenges identified by respondents. 58% believe AI could help reduce workload across their biggest day-to-day challenges, while 65% believe AI could streamline their biggest administrative time drains.
 

“Construction professionals are spending more than a full working day every week on tasks they believe AI could help reduce or streamline. At the same time, more than half say stronger investment in technology and AI would make them more likely to stay with their employer. That makes this more than a productivity conversation. It is also a talent and retention issue for construction businesses operating under growing delivery pressure,” added Ibrahim Imam, Co-founder and CEO of PlanRadar.
 

PlanRadar was built to address precisely these concerns. The platform brings together 360° digital documentation, communication and reporting in a single AI-powered platform. According to the report, more than half of respondents have already adopted a central digital tool to track mid-project changes, and among those adopters, four in five report an improved ability to control costs or protect project margins. His Excellency Dr. Al Jaber added that the newly approved government initiatives will reinforce a more resilient and sustainable national industrial model, as one of the most important drivers of the next phase of growth. These initiatives represent a qualitative leap in the UAE’s industrial development journey, and present a clear vision and a steadfast commitment to accelerating economic growth. They form an integrated ecosystem that combines demand stimulation, access to financing, and enhanced decision-making readiness, strengthening the competitiveness of national companies and reinforcing supply chain resilience.

 

He added that MIITE 2026 will focus on translating this ambitious agenda into tangible outcomes and has evolved into a  space where national industrial priorities are transformed into real opportunities, partnerships, and impactful projects. The fifth edition of the platform underscores the UAE’s strong industrial foundations, presenting a live model of industrial resilience through reliable supply chains, scalable national companies, and local innovations that generate sustainable value.

 

His Excellency Dr. Al Jaber further emphasized that MIITE 2026 serves as a platform to effectively showcase the achievements of the UAE’s national industry, conveying a clear message that the country is steadily advancing toward a stronger, more future-ready industrial phase. It positions industry as a primary engine of economic growth, strengthening national manufacturing capabilities, empowering investors, accelerating the adoption of AI and advanced technologies, expanding local manufacturing, and enhancing the competitiveness of national products.

 

The Cabinet-approved initiatives include the establishment of a national industrial resilience fund valued at AED 1 billion to support the localization of vital industries, enhance supply chain resilience, and build strategic stockpiles across key sectors such as food, manufacturing, base metals, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, advanced technology, and construction.

 

They also include expanding the National In-Country Value (ICV) Program into a mandatory framework covering all federal government entities, as well as companies with at least a 25% direct or indirect federal ownership stake – further directing national spending to support local industry.

 

In addition, a new policy has been approved to strengthen the presence of UAE-made products across retail outlets and e-commerce platforms, beginning with essential goods such as bottled water, dairy products, eggs, fresh and chilled poultry, bread and basic bakery items, flour, locally packaged vegetable oils, and seasonal agricultural products.

 

The Cabinet also approved the establishment of the National Industrial Data Committee, chaired by His Excellency Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), to accelerate the collection, integration, and real-time availability of strategic industrial data, supporting faster decision-making and enhancing sector readiness.

MIITE 2026 – Industrial resilience

In its fifth edition, MIITE brings together more than 1,100 exhibitors across 12 industrial sectors, while introducing new procurement opportunities aimed at localizing the production of approximately 5,000 products within the UAE. SMEs account for 61% of total MIITE 2026 participants, reflecting the success of national efforts to expand the industrial base and empower local enterprises.

 

The platform is expected to attract over 120,000 visitors, including international investors, manufacturers, decision-makers, and industry leaders from around the world.

 

MIITE 2026 will also feature a range of new industrial initiatives, alongside specialized platforms showcasing the latest advancements in manufacturing and industrial innovation, including robotics, autonomous systems, and AI-powered solutions. Together, these initiatives take the UAE's industrial resilience agenda from policy to practice – securing supply, strengthening national capability, and sustaining the next phase of economic growth.

Hollywood, Florida (April 28, 2026)- Following her presence at multiple national events, as well as a recent dedicated feature on WSFL TV’s ‘Morning Rush’ hosted by Cameron Dobbs, renowned Tedx Speaker as well as resilience, leadership, and reproductive health advocate Dr. Marline C. Duroseau has announced her nomination for ‘Dissertation of the Year,’ an honor amplifying her voice and research on how infertility struggles impact women progressing across the business world. 

‘Dissertation of the Year’ is an annual award competition hosted by National University, during which outstanding academic work is recognized for its innovation, diversity, and excellence while maintaining NU’s mission and values. Dr. Mar’s dissertation, ‘The Lived Infertility Experience of Women in Leadership Roles,’ discusses in detail how lived infertility experiences shape leadership identity, practices, and even philosophy for women in leadership positions, culminating in the importance of not only empathy, but resilience, emotional intelligence, adaptation, ethics, and authenticity. 

“Having worked for years to overcome my own struggles with infertility, this dissertation and the research that brought it to life have always been incredibly important to me,” expressed Dr. Mar, who also authored her memoir It'll Happen By 30: A Relentless Journey of Faith | Delayed But Not Denied to showcase her personal journey of overcoming adversity and the often-secretive grief that holds people back from their next path in life.
