Tawazun Broadens International Partnerships to Advance National Defence Industries at Eurosatory 2026
In this context, Tawazun, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and organised by ADNEC Group, continues to advance the international presence of UAE defence companies through a unified national pavilion. This effort supports deeper engagement with global industry leaders, promotes strategic partnerships and knowledge exchange, and facilitates access to advanced technologies, contributing to the development of national capabilities, the growth of the UAE’s defence industrial base, and its long-term competitiveness and readiness for future challenges.
The Council’s delegation includes H.E. Matar Ali Al Romaithi, Director General of Planning and Procurement Directorate; H.E. Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi, Director General of Industrial Development Directorate; H.E. Majed Ahmed Al Jabri, Executive Director of Tawazun Economic Programme Sector; and H.E. Majed Saif Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Research and Development Sector.
The Council’s directorates undertake complementary responsibilities across interconnected workstreams aligned with the Council’s institutional priorities. The Planning and Procurement Directorate focuses on supporting defence procurement pathways, developing future capability requirements, and strengthening engagement with strategic partners. The Industrial Development Directorate continues to enable industrial growth opportunities and strengthen local value chains, while the Industrial Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Directorate focuses on monitoring advanced technologies and leveraging their applications in support of operational efficiency and enhanced readiness.
The Council’s presence at Eurosatory also provides an opportunity to conduct bilateral meetings and specialised discussions with government entities, European and international defence companies, and leading research institutions, enabling knowledge exchange and the exploration of new areas of cooperation that support the development of the national industrial ecosystem and strengthen its integration into global value chains.
The delegation also includes a group of Emirati engineers and specialists from across the Council’s directorates, reflecting advanced levels of expertise and technical capability across industrial, technical, and strategic fields related to defence and security. Their presence at the exhibition provides opportunities to engage with emerging global trends and explore advanced technologies and capabilities that contribute to knowledge transfer and support future industrial and technical development.
H.E. We view these engagements as a continuation of the UAE’s efforts to strengthen its position as a trusted and strategic partner within the global defence ecosystem while supporting national capability development and future readiness."
It’s worth noting Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement is a national entity dedicated to translating defence and security priorities into tangible institutional, industrial, and economic outcomes across the United Arab Emirates ecosystem.
Established in 1992, the Council plays a pivotal role in supporting defence procurement by ensuring that programmes are strategically aligned with long-term national capability requirements, while adhering to principles of value and advancing industrial localisation objectives.

"توازن" يرسخ موقعه كمُمكّن استراتيجي للصناعات الدفاعية الوطنية في "يوروساتوري 2026"
أبوظبي، 13 يونيو 2026، يُرسّخ مجلس التوازن للتمكين الدفاعي موقعه كمُمكّن استراتيجي لمنظومة الدفاع والأمن الوطنية من خلال حضوره في معرض يوروساتوري 2026 للدفاع والأمن، أحد أبرز المعارض العالمية المتخصصة في القطاع، والمُقام في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 19 يونيو 2026 تحت شعار «استشراف تحديات الدفاع والأمن».
ومن هذا المنطلق، يواصل المجلس بالتعاون مع وزارة الدفاع، وبتنظيم من شركة أبوظبي الوطنية للمعارض (أدنيك)، دعم وتمكين الشركات الوطنية وتعزيز حضورها تحت جناح وطني موحّد، ليفتح آفاقاً أوسع للتعاون مع الشركاء الدوليين، ويسهم في بناء شراكات نوعية، ونقل المعرفة والتقنيات المتقدمة، وتطوير القدرات الوطنية، دعماً لنمو القاعدة الصناعية الدفاعية ويعزز جاهزيتها لمتطلبات المستقبل.
يضم وفد المجلس سعادة مطر علي الرميثي، مدير عام مديرية التخطيط والمشتريات، وسعادة شريف هاشم الهاشمي، مدير عام مديرية التطوير الصناعي، إلى جانب سعادة ماجد أحمد الجابري، المدير التنفيذي لقطاع برنامج التوازن الاقتصادي، وسعادة ماجد سيف الشامسي، المدير التنفيذي لقطاع البحث والتطوير.
وتضطلع المديريات المشاركة بأدوار تكاملية ضمن مسارات عمل مترابطة تعكس النهج المؤسسي الذي يتبناه المجلس؛ حيث تركز مديرية التخطيط والمشتريات على دعم مسارات الاستحواذ الدفاعي وبناء الشراكات المرتبطة بمتطلبات القدرات المستقبلية، فيما تواصل مديرية التطوير الصناعي استكشاف فرص النمو الصناعي وتعزيز سلاسل القيمة المحلية.
كما يشكّل التواجد في هذا الحدث فرصة لإجراء سلسلة من اللقاءات الثنائية والنقاشات المتخصصة مع الجهات الحكومية والشركات الدفاعية الأوروبية والعالمية والمؤسسات البحثية الرائدة، بما يتيح تبادل الخبرات واستكشاف مجالات تعاون جديدة تسهم في تطوير المنظومة الصناعية الوطنية وتعزيز اندماجها في سلاسل القيمة العالمية.
ويشارك ضمن الوفد نخبة من الكفاءات الوطنية الإماراتية من المهندسين والمتخصصين العاملين في مختلف مديريات المجلس، والذين يجسدون مستوى متقدماً من التأهيل والخبرة في المجالات التقنية والصناعية والاستراتيجية ذات الصلة بقطاع الدفاع والأمن، بما يعكس تطور القدرات الوطنية في بناء كوادر متخصصة. كما يتيح تواجدهم في هذا الحدث الاطلاع على أحدث التوجهات العالمية واستكشاف القدرات والتقنيات المتقدمة في القطاع، بما يسهم في تعزيز نقل المعرفة وتوسيع آفاق التطوير في المجالات الفنية والصناعية ذات الصلة.
وقال سعادة شريف هاشم الهاشمي، مدير عام مديرية التطوير الصناعي في مجلس التوازن للتمكين الدفاعي: "يشهد قطاع الدفاع والأمن العالمي تحولات متسارعة تعيد تشكيل مفاهيم الجاهزية والقدرة والتنافسية، الأمر الذي يتطلب مواصلة الاستثمار في بناء القدرات الوطنية وتعزيز التكامل بين الصناعة والتكنولوجيا والابتكار. ومن هذا المنطلق، يحرص مجلس التوازن للتمكين الدفاعي على توسيع نطاق تعاونه مع الشركاء الدوليين واستكشاف الفرص التي تسهم في دعم منظومة دفاعية وصناعية وطنية أكثر تقدماً واستدامة."
وأضاف سعادته: "تمثل فرنسا وأوروبا أحد المراكز العالمية الرائدة في العديد من الصناعات والتقنيات الدفاعية المتقدمة، وهو ما يتيح فرصاً مهمة لتعزيز الحوار وتبادل الخبرات وبناء شراكات نوعية تخدم المصالح المشتركة. وننظر إلى هذه اللقاءات باعتبارها امتداداً لجهود دولة الإمارات في ترسيخ مكانتها كشريك موثوق ومؤثر في منظومة الصناعات الدفاعية العالمية، وبما يدعم تطوير القدرات الوطنية ويعزز جاهزية القطاع لمتطلبات المستقبل."
يُذكر أن مجلس التوازن للتمكين الدفاعي هو جهة وطنية تركز على ترجمة أولويات الدفاع والأمن إلى نتائج مؤسسية وصناعية واقتصادية ملموسة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
تأسس المجلس عام 1992، وهو يضطلع بدور محوري في دعم المشتريات الدفاعية من خلال ضمان التوافق الاستراتيجي لبرامج الاستحواذ مع متطلبات القدرات الوطنية طويلة الأجل، مع الالتزام بمبادئ مردود القيمة وأهداف التوطين الصناعي.
