The Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel’s Around the World in 80 Days dining journey continues to captivate guests and dignitaries alike, as the legendary ocean liner transforms each evening into a new port of call inspired by the destinations once sailed by the QE2. Since its launch on 1 October, the series has drawn remarkable engagement, attracting ambassadors, consuls general, and international representatives who have joined the experience in honour of their nations’ featured ports.
Over recent weeks, the QE2 has been privileged to welcome a distinguished list of diplomats, including His Excellency Ridwaan Jadwat, Ambassador of Australia to the United Arab Emirates, for Adelaide; His Excellency Luis Alfonso de Alba Góngora, Ambassador of Mexico to the United Arab Emirates, for Acapulco; His Excellency Gervais Michel Moumou, Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles, for Mahé; His Excellency Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, and His Excellency Marford M. Angeles, Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines, for the Manila port; Her Excellency Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of the Kingdom of Thailand, for Pattaya.

Further enriching the experience, renowned chefs from around the world have flown in especially to participate, each bringing regional expertise and signature culinary techniques that ensure every evening reflects the true essence of its featured port. Their collaboration with the ship’s culinary brigade transforms each night into a vibrant celebration of heritage, flavour, and culture.
Guided by Executive Chef Erwan Stadler, the culinary roster has included Chef Naimas Dobo from Manila, Philippines; Chef Andres from Cartagena, Colombia; Chef Daniel from Mahé, Seychelles; Chef Panagiotis Raptopoulos (“Chef Panous”) from Piraeus, Greece; Chef Mohamed “Moha” Yakat from Mombasa, Kenya; Chef Mahmoud from Port Suez, Egypt; and Chef Sylvain from La Rochelle, France, each contributing the soul of their homeland to the Queen Elizabeth 2’s table.
As the journey approaches its final chapters, with ports such as Liverpool, New York, Port Suez, Marseille, Istanbul, Monte Carlo, Bali and more still ahead, guests are strongly encouraged to reserve early. With limited seating and rising regional and diplomatic interest, each night is anticipated to reach full capacity.
