The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) in Sharjah is participating in the 14th Metal and Steel Middle East exhibition, taking place from September 6 to 8, 2025 at Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo.
Positioned as the premier trade platform for steel and metal works in the Middle East and Africa, the exhibition brings together top international manufacturers, suppliers, industry leaders, and decision-makers shaping the future of the global heavy industries sector.
Through its participation at Metal and Steel Middle East, HFZA seeks to showcase its advanced investment solutions aimed at attracting a broader base of global companies seeking to expand into regional markets. It also aims to highlight its pioneering role in supporting the global and regional iron and steel trade, as well as its competitive advantages and services that attract investors from within the UAE and abroad.
The Hamriyah Free Zone has established itself as a leading hub for steel and iron industry across the Middle East and Africa, and a prime destination for specialized heavy industries. It is home to more than 450 companies in the steel sector, together covering an area of 50 million square feet. This sector accounts for 16% of the total 300 million square feet of the free zone.

H.E. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of HFZA, said that Metal and Steel Middle East is a vital international platform for building connections with top industry manufacturers and investors. He noted that HFZA’s participation in this significant event comes within the framework of the Authority’s strategy to establishing direct access to targeted international markets.
“HFZA is committed to attracting high-value investments that reinforce the industrial value chain within Hamriyah Free Zone, which has already demonstrated its competitiveness and appeal to major industry players,” Al Mazrouei added.
He explained that the steel and metals industry in the Free Zone is witnessing significant growth in both local and international investments, supported by a robust operating ecosystem characterized by efficiency, flexibility, and effectiveness.
He emphasized that the Hamriyah Free Zone’s strategic location, state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern logistics facilities, and comprehensive service offerings provide specialized companies with the tools to increase productivity and sustain growth in this vital sector.
Largest hub of steel manufacturers
HFZA uses its pavilion at the 14th Metal and Steel Exhibition to showcase the key advantages of setting up businesses in its Industrial Manufacturing Park, which hosts the largest cluster of steel manufacturers and fabricators in the Middle East and North Africa. The Park accommodates over 200 companies specializing in welding and mining services, serving as a gateway to their global operations.

تشارك هيئة المنطقة الحرة بالحمرية بالشارقة في الدورة الـ 14 من المعرض الدولي للحديد والصناعات المعدنية (Metal & Steel) المنصة التجارية الأبرز لصناعات الصلب والمعادن في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا، والذي تقام فعالياته في مركز مصر للمعارض الدولية بالقاهرة خلال الفترة من 6 إلى 8 سبتمبر 2025، بمشاركة كبار المصنعين والموردين العالميين وصناع القرار وقادة قطاع الصناعات الثقيلة من مختلف دول العالم.
وتهدف الهيئة من خلال مشاركتها إلى استعراض حلولها الاستثمارية الرائدة واستقطاب المزيد من الشركات العالمية الراغبة في التوسع بأسواق المنطقة، إلى جانب تسليط الضوء على دورها الريادي في التجارة العالمية والإقليمية بالحديد والصلب فضلا عن مزاياها وخدماتها التنافسية التي تعد مصدر جذب للمستثمرين من داخل الدولة وخارجها لاسيما وأن حرة الحمرية تعتبر مركز رائد لصناعة الصلب والحديد في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا، ووجهة نموذجية للصناعات الثقيلة التخصصية، حيث بلغ عدد الشركات المستثمرة في قطاع الصلب أكثر من450 شركة بمساحة 50 مليون قدم مربع، ليمثل هذا القطاع منفردا 16 % من إجمالي مساحة حرة الحمرية البالغة 300 مليون قدم مربع.
منصة دولية مهمة
وأكد سعادة سعود سالم المزروعي، مدير هيئة المنطقة الحرة بالحمرية، أن المعرض الدولي للحديد والصناعات المعدنية يمثل منصة دولية مهمة للتواصل مع كبار المصنعين والمستثمرين في القطاع وتأتي مشاركة الهيئة في هذا الحدث المهم في إطار استراتيجيتها الرامية إلى الوصول إلى الأسواق العالمية المستهدفة بشكل مباشر، مضيفاً أن الهيئة تركز على استقطاب استثمارات نوعية تعزز سلسلة القيمة ضمن القطاع الصناعي الذي تحتضنه "حرة الحمرية"، الذي أثبت بالفعل جاذبيته لكبار المصنعين، مشيراً إلى أن قطاع الصناعات المعدنية والصلب في المنطقة الحرة بالحمرية يشهد نمواً ملحوظاً في عدد الاستثمارات المحلية والعالمية، وأرجع سبب النمو في القطاع إلى ما توفره حرة الحمرية من منظومة تشغيلية تتميز بالكفاءة والمرونة والفعالية، بالإضافة إلى المزايا التي تقدمها للشركات المتخصصة في هذا المجال من موقع جغرافي استراتيجي، وبنية تحتية متطورة، ومرافق ومستودعات حديثة، وغيرها من الخدمات التي توفرها لرفع كفاءة الإنتاج في هذا القطاع.

وتسلط حرة الحمرية من خلال جناحها في الحدث الضوء على أهم مزايا تأسيس الأعمال في منطقة الأعمال التصنيعية التابعة لها والتي تضم أكبر تجمع لمصنعي الصلب في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، حيث تحتضن أكثر من 200 شركة متخصصة في اللحام والتعدين تتخذ من المنطقة منطلقاً لأعمالها العالمية، إلى جانب ما تقدمه المنطقة الحرة من مزايا تنافسية عديدة أبرزها سهولة الوصول إلى ميناء الحمرية وتوفير مرافق وحلول الخدمات اللوجستية المتكاملة والتخزين ومناولة البضائع.
